Before i even listen to what the brother has to say on this, I've talked to my kids about this and how i think sometimes its a 2 edged sword for those that have known God or been around the truth from thier mothers womb. I was 21 before the lord opened my eyes to the truth. My story is like many and different from some, as we are all different individually and in the way God calls us all in different ways, that's something I have noticed after 32 years in the church now. Thank god my kids never knew what it was like to live in false doctrine and then found out the truth. I was saying to my boys, you guys might have missed a step or maybe its just different growing up in the truth and over like me that was struck down on their walk to Damascus. When God opened my eyes, it was so powerful that night and the spirit was so strong that you could've cut through the spirit with a knife. that's how it felt. Now I'm not diminishing anybody's experience with God. I've seen him, it seemed like Anyway, call people to the truth with a still small voice, and others with a mighty rushing wind. But I guess I don't know because I wasn't born in the church but my kids were and my kids don't understand a life without God they don't understand living at least 21 years of your life thinking you knew God just to find out you didn't and to experience the Living God in a most tangible way of receiving the Holy Ghost after coming from false Doctrine compared to like I said being born in the church and knowing the truth all your life. Now I'm not saying that makes anybody any different than anybody else but it seems to be for those that wasn't in the truth that they have something to base it off of I guess is what I'm trying to say, and others against don't because they've always known it, so I don't know if that makes a difference or not, like I said we just talked about it and it's something I've just noticed as a person who was in the world and the Lord called me to the truth compared to watching my kids grow up in the truth and not experiencing that factor, but then again maybe they did whenever they got the Holy Ghost they were young, they were seven or eight years old when they got the Holy Ghost so I don't even know if they could really, you know understand at that time as much as they would if they were grown or teenager. I don't know but this is what I thought about just when he started talkin about, how there's those that are born in the church and the difference between those that are born in the church and those that the Lord revealed it to years later, maybe in their adulthood and the complete mesmerizing, eye opening transformation that happens to you after living a life in sin to finally see the truth, and then to receive the holy ghost in the most real way compared to the old-time religion way of just saying Jesus come into my heart and it's automatically done by faith with no evidence. I just thought it's something that maybe that the church or pastors have talked about, that's why I wanted to say something before he even said anything about what his sermon is on, that's what it brought to my thought, my memory of talkin to my kids and the difference between being in the church and growing up in the church and those who find out about the truth later and everything, God bless in Jesus name
