There's no time like the present to begin working on my 'creekside oasis', so let that begin with a kick in the shins! 🤭 (Or a wood shed 😊)
I have been wanting to spend more time down at the creek for years, and develop a little 'creekside oasis' there. Once I have it in my mind that a cabin belongs somewhere, I have a hard time getting it out of my mind. Let this shed be the first structure in the area!
I set out a 'handful of pro-ject rules' for this build, and overall, I do think I stuck to them 😊. The only thing I purchased was some screws and some nails (and probably some fuel). Otherwise, everything was salavaged, repurposed, or made for free. I really only had 3 days to get this shed built, which was pretty rushed given the circumstances, but in the end I am really happy with how it turned out. Steve has owned the land for 23 years and this is now the first structure in this area of the land that is covered! It's really exciting...well, for me it is anyway. ☺️
This is one of the longest videos I've ever posted. 🫣
    M 💕

Hi 👋, Michelle , outstanding,😂 Amazing 🤩, Awesome, You should be proud of your sense of achievement, 😮😂, I did start watching this must’ve been nearly 2 hours ago, but I started to hear a funny noise outside 🐂🐂🐂🐂🐂 , one was stuck in my river, and 5 were in my garden, having a munch on my grass, And pooping , so with a bit of shouting and waving a stick an hour later, I managed to get them back across the river, Not as bad as it was about two years ago, there was somewhere around 20 odd caws with their calves add escaped into the French countryside, 2 days later, they were all back, sorry about me, gathering on, I have been alone too long.
Anyway, back to your build , very nice job hubby should be pleased with that, especially as you have used some of your reclaimed timber that he has complained about in the past. Ha ha 😂, I think at this rate, you will be moving down there to live by the creek ? . And I was very impressed with your shopping expedition., 😂, all under one Roof, And of course me female, I can’t help but notice and especially as they were French style, 😂, 😎. I have been alone for so long, I was embarrassed., I ❤ Black , Thank you for sharing your experience, on the construction site, hot tub sounds great, then you can skinny dip in the river afterwards or vice versa, 😮😂 .
And I hope you are not affected too much by the fires that I’ve heard about and been on the news that BC LOOKING VERY BAD, I THINK I HEARD 30 ODD THOUSAND PEOPLE HAVE BEEN EVACUATED, NOT LOOKING GOOD, I feel sorry for everybody, it’s going to take years to recover, sorry I cannot remember the name of your dog I think you said it might of eaten something in the forest, a friend of mine quite a few years ago, had similar problem with there Dog I cannot remember how much it cost him a lot of money as they had to take it to the vet at late at night and had to be kept in for I think 3 to 4 days, hope you all stay safe and well, Cameo, 😂, sorry, it’s an age thing,
Phil from the moulin France, ❤, 🥂

The claw breaches the chips 1/2 way down and splits the sawed notches. The face of the hammer breaks the slotted pieces at the base for a clean break with minimal cleaning up with a chisel. Just a natural

Ok good notching, reach into your inner Moravian and think through these projects the way they did. They didn't have Home Depot or lag bolts or long nails and they made structures that still stand today in some cases from the 1700's. There are free books you can download and listen to or read at night on how they did stuff. First thing you need is a portable work bench, solid and heavy and I would mill that first. If you look up Moravian Workbenches (and you don't need anything near that fancy) they would assemble one on site and get busy processing all the lumber and then use that to notch and mortice and tenon and peg and then throw the thing together. Next to that sawmill it will be the biggest thing you can do for yourself. Have a blessed day.

You are funny and a force of nature yourself! I envision the entire side of this hill covered with Air B&B rooms with a beautiful little stream winding peacefully down the hill and through the cabins. Love watching all the building projects. Thank you for sharing this peaceful little part of your life to start our day with a smile

Awesome build. The only nitpick (back seat building here) is it didn't look like you tamped/compacted the foundation, so it will settle a little over time. No big deal as it may not even be noticeable outside of a level. And besides, it's just a wood shed. Looks great, though, really nicely done.

Michygoss, I just love you to bits! Your videos make me smile the whole way through. And thanks for the recommendation to Temu: I have been eyeing them with suspicion, but if Michygoss says they're OK, that's good enough for me (although I won't be buying lacy panties to go on my 75-year-old disabled body!) And I'm so glad Clyde turned out OK, and all the other guys. ❤😅

My brothers and I build 3-5 of these every year on our farm when felling, rounding and splitting firewood for the winter. I've never seen someone put this much effort into a woodshed before. Just dumbfounded.

Stunningly beautiful, amazingly strong, and incredibly talented. Love watching your adventures in that gorgeous countryside. Correct me if I’m wrong, but I thought I remembered you saying you were in the nursing field. That in itself is one of the greatest things to admire you for. Keep up the fantastic videos. Can’t wait to see if there is more ocean crossing videos with Steve!
