A well built home can handle quite a bit of shaking, but one of these things lands on you and all the debris they can pick up and shoot out at you like a missile.....I can't begin to imagine. So many people taped this. I think I would be driving away, quickly. You can't always tell when it begins to move in your direction soon enough. I grew up in Chicago, and experienced some very scary Tornados. When I was older I learned to hit the flat ground when we were outdoors. I moved to California when I was 18. The earthquakes are unnerving, but there is not the anticipation you get with Tornadoes.

    • @terrywade3696
      @terrywade3696 Před měsícem

      Krystalcoast: Yeah, earthquakes don’t have as much anticipation because YOU DON’T HAVE ANY WARNING THAT THEY’RE COMING! Im from Tornado Alley and I prefer the tornado warnings! I have time to find shelter! There’s NO SHELTER from earthquakes! AND, AND, AND, NO WARNING!

    For anyone confused about the cars: they are most likely storm chasers who are in it for the kicks or are keeping track of it so they can report to the neaby weather stations and police departments to help keep everyone safe.
    Also it is more dangerous to be pulled over and parked than it is to keep driving. You're more likely to be hit by debris, or have it change directions and you take longer to get out of there than it is to just keep going.
    Of course the last bit is situational, some move at speeds or are at a size you just can't outrun.
    Ryan Hall said on one of his streams that a lot of cops that end up pulling his storm chasers over for speeding watch his streams because it keeps them informed and helps get the word out how dangerous that twister is or who is in danger.
