He is not an American origin neither he starred LEADING ROLE in multi million dollar movies (except night at the museum and twilight saga).. But that performance he did in Bohemian Rhapsody completely rewrites the critics opinion about his acting.
He do deserves that oscar more than anyone in his respective nominated category.

Saw Bohemian Rhapsody at the weekend - greatest movie ever! Rami Malek gives the performance of his life as Freddie Mercury. Not only does he embody the charisma and stage presence of the icon, but he encapsulates the humanity and vulnerability of the man. It was a role he was born to play and I can easily see him winning an Oscar for this.

Watched the movie and oh my goodness it’s literally the best movie ever. Made me and my dad cry. All the concerts and times when he sings really gets your chills kicking in and to get to experience how he got famous and his love life and his personally life was just like you were apart of his life when you watched this movie. Highly recommended!
