I have been listening to him as a kid while he was still underground. Always loved his music, but this is, by far, one of my all time favorites. Not Afraid, Castle, Arose are some phenomenal songs. His revival album is severely underrated in my opinion.

What part? The fact that it is one of my favorites or that it is severely underrated? This cd is beyond lyrical and doesnt get the credit it is deserved because there arent enough that truly appreciate the lyrical genius that is Eminem outside of communities like this.

You don't often see the complicated schemes and insane double/triple entendres alongside such raw and honest stories. I've often said that you can fast forward 50 years, to people that didn't have the pop culture access to Em's life, and they'd be able to tell you his life story just from listening to his albums. It's a special thing.

One more thing. The first time I heard this song I was in rehab for the first time. They would play MTV every morning and I found it ironic. I've had to go back again. I didn't want it the first time. That's why if you force someone to go to rehab it doesn't work. 2nd time I wanted to. Still have slipped since but never gave up. Almost 2 years sober and by the grace of God, still living.
PS the breakdown of the visuals and the entire video is something I've never caught before. Good breakdown of that.

When this song came out in 2011, my best friend and I honestly though that this song was going to be on the Green Lantern movie soundtrack, which also came out in 2011.
Visually with the superhero theme with him flying. Also the fact that you have to overcome your fear and not being afraid to be Green Lantern.
This is one of my songs I play when I need some motivation. Every line is like a punch to the jaw of any bad job/bad lover/ addiction etc. that's keeping you from reaching your potential. It's so damn powerful.

I love your channel. Eminem is the only rapper I know that has three rapping personalities. Slim Shady who will say whatever he wants to say. Eminem who will get you super hype and motivated and Marshall Matters who will make you get emotional. You should react to “Bad Husband”, “Castle” and “Arose”.
