Just went from iPhone 7 to 12 Pro. Crazy difference. It's honestly better waiting a few years before upgrading because then the upgrade feels way more substantial.
I can confirm this😂 I upgraded from a iPhone XR to a iPhone 12 and it feels the exact same like literally nothing changed but I can’t complain because I gave my dad my Xr so I upgraded his iPhone 6s

You only need to replace an iPhone every 4 or 5 years. Buying the new one every year is overkill.
Edit: I said “need to”. Yes, it’s more convenient to replace it after 3 years or maybe even 2 if you’re a power user or need the cutting edge tech at all times. But the battery is your problem. I have an iPhone 5S which I’m still using today and the battery is great. Same for my iPad Air 1st gen. You need to know how to maintain your battery health.
(Btw I don’t recommend using iPhone 5s in 2021, it’s a bit too old lol)

Thank you Brandon for this informative segment! I’m going for the 11 over the 12 as in addition to your information there are issues with the 12 OLED screen with flickering = PWM which is bad for your eyes which leads to headaches & even migraines etc… also there have been complaints with yellow & green tinting on the screen as well so until Apple can resolve these issues by possibly including a DC dimming option & increasing the refresh rate on the 12 from 60 to 120 this may help as well etc…

I decided to renovate my house. I painted the house, put a new roof on it, make a whole new driveway and also some interior work. I wanted a new car, but I decided to do my house instead.

I just got the 12 max I love it. Switched from my 6 so it’s a huge upgrade for me. I’m happy with it- I did hear about the 13 but in all honesty my 6 kicked the can, and it was time to upgrade. So far I love it
I went from an SE2 to a 12 Mini. I would've gotten a Max, Pro, or a regular 12 but I love the small phone style and it was WAY cheaper! I had a 6s and it was great until I realized how much better the 8Plus was compared to it. I'm loving my 12 and I plan to keep it until the 14.

I upgraded from XS to 11 recently. At first the 11’s LCD screen annoyed me so much bc of the not so good viewing angle and its pixel density is lower than xs’ but I eventually got used to it and loving the 11 so far mainly because of the better camera and better battery
That’s me right now, super annoyed with the LCD screen. 😆 I guess I should be thankful for the other features.

I’m an iPhone 11 user for the last year or so. I absolutely love the size, and the slim design feel. I upgraded from an iPhone 8, so there was a lot of differences lol. But I handled the iPhone 12 in store and absolutely hated the feel of square casing. It just looked ugly in my opinion. I don’t plan to upgrade until closer to iPhone 13 or 14 even. Fingers crossed my phone lasts that long lol. Great video and review however!

It’s pretty simple (if money and/or performance/capability is a consideration): if you have an 11 (I do and love it: the blistering performance), keep it; if you have an XR, closer call, but keep it; if you have something earlier, go with the 12 if you can but if you cannot, you are getting something great with the 11. In other words, there is no losing here, only relative degrees of winning.

went from 6s to 12 pro, major improvements and definitely worth every penny lol and honestly, i definitely can tell the difference between the 11 and 12 (display/color tint, speed, and etc.)
Went from a SE2 to a 12 Mini. I'm loving it. I bought the 12 Mini because the SE2 really bugged me with this clicking sound it had when I opened the camera nearly EACH time. It's an issue with most models, I had my camera replaced twice, then the whole phone and it continued. So I bought the 12 Mini and sold the SE2 since there were no issues accept the camera click, but the camera still functioned perfectly. I had a 6s, an 8Plus, then an SE2 so the 12 Mini was the first phone I'd ever have without a home button and I'm loving face ID. It's definitely noticeably faster than the SE2 which seems weird since the SE2 is basically an 11.
Anyhow, if you're looking for a small, powerful, and new phone I'd definitely go with the 12 Mini. I know people say it's too small, but it's definitely not to me especially since I went from a Gen 2 SE. I personally like small phones and I figured that out after the 8Plus' sizing so it definitely fits me.

My Xs broke and I bought the 11 during august 2020 and definitely there is a difference between having a oled display and a standard screen as on the 11. Far from the screen, no other noticeable difference. But the screen makes a huge difference on eye irritation during long hours of usage playing or reading or just doing social media.

If you’re in super detail and want that extra tiny stuff, go for the iPhone 12.
If you don’t really care about what phone or have a low budget, the 11 should go through the day with you.
You must wait 2-3 years before changing your phone to fully appreciate the new one, a 1000$ phone is not a 1 year thing in my opinion! I’ve changed my 8 plus with the 12 and im very very happy with the change, of course if you have a 11 dont change it!! Pretty obvious for me!

@@wompwompu I can’t tell you because i’ve never owned the 11 but if you are like me and change phone every 2-3 years, I suggest you go for the most recent one so you can get easily 2-3 years from it as the technology is up to date with it! 😃
Since all the phones are currently keeping the same design it has to be more then 3 years IMO I just upgraded from my XR to a 12 and I feel no different the screen looks better but other then that nothing

i upgraded from a 32gb iphone 6s and i love my iphone 12
I took a look at the 12 at the local reseller here today. There is no value in just going for the OLED screen. In fact, the whites look dimmer to me and I have no problem watching content in non-HDR. Also, another thing that reviewers don't mention is the fact that items on the screen on the 12 are just blown up vs. the 11, mainly I think because the 12 is using the display of the X/XS.
Sticking to my 11. Such good value for up until today (and with a charger too).
Hey Brandon great points! I think that the 12 lineup is better for those coming from a X or XS though, as the screen on the regular 11 is a downgrade compared to those older OLED models.
Yeah, I agree. I went from an SE2 to my 12 Mini and I love this OLED display. I feel like the SE2 was a failure to be quite honest.

I know I tried it in the store and I was so surprised!! It feels much lighter and the flat edges makes it very easy to hold! My 11 feels really heavy. And I miss the oled screen.

i upgraded to the i11 2 weeks ago after using the i6s for 3 years and the i7+ for a year after that (i bought it from my mom because i had to upgrade since storage was full on the i6) and the experience of using the i11 was just mind blowing and upgrafing was definitely worth it.

The last iphone I used was 5c. Then i moved to Android and used for last 5 years. Now I bought an iphone 11 and its absolutely blazing fast, smooth and battery life is amazing.
Since Apple gives updates for 5 years you only need to change after 5 years or 4. Before that you dont need to change your phone.
I got the iPhone 12 recently in white coming from a 7 plus that I used for about three years. Honestly it was worth the upgrade but if you already have an 11 hold on to it and just wait.

Bought the 11 back in Aug (refurbished off amazon). I got the 256gb for the price of the 128 (750ish before the price drop). Today I got talked into changing from metro to at&t and getting upgraded to a 128gb iphone 12. It was one of those on the spot sales things. Not sure if I made the right choice lol, I like my high gigs. I more so did it to upgrade the rest of my families old droids to the A51

Main reason I upgraded that 11 modem was unbearable on lte couldn’t even load web pages in a decent time

I've seen a whole lot of comments regarding those faint white circles around the camera. I have noticed that on my 12 Mini but it never bothered me. After I did some more research, I found out it's normal and it's not an issue. It doesn't bother me anyhow, but I just wanted to put it out there for all the people who may question it.
The 12 has issues with lensflare under certain conditions. It's due to the lens of the cameramodule. You dont notice it till you do ;-)

Flat edges are paramount for me so if I did have an 11, I would've gotten the 12 anyways because the design is just so much better and more comfortable to use. But I upgraded from the XS Max, which I had for 2 years, to the 12 Mini, and I could not be happier honestly!

If you guys already using 6s to XR/XS/XS Max probably it would be good if you jump into the 12 something, it would be a huge upgrade and a better experience for sure, but if you already using the i11 and about to buy the i12 it’s not a worth buying, tbh there’s no huge difference ✌🏻
Just got this iPhone XR upgraded from a iPhone 7plus,might not be the newest phone but I’m will say it is not disappointing
I just got the 12 but also got the 11 for my daughter and we love them both
If im gonna buy one of them i will choose the 12 i think its more comfortable to hold in my tiny hand
I have an 11 and I tried my friends’ 12 and I must say the OLED, flat edges, and lighter weight of the 12 are really good! But getting the 11 over 12 will satisfy much of your needs: long battery, fast processor, and great camera will not disappoint you! 😉

I think a caveat that you need to give to the whole 5G issue is that a persons results may vary on the 5G depending on their location. I live in Kentucky and I have full 5G bars and I’ve never had any of the issues that you’ve spoke about with it. So the 5G coverage and issues like I said will depend on where the person is located.
I’m actually getting an iPhone 11 tomorrow for my birthday! I’m very excited! I didn’t get the 12 because it was too expensive and they are not that different in terms of speed and stuff.
That's awesome! I went from an SE2 to a 12 Mini and it's great. I'm sure the 11 is good since my SE2 had almost the same internals as an 11 and it ran like a dream. You probably have your 11 now that it's been about 3 weeks, haha...
I have an iPhone 11. It’s a huge upgrade from the iPhone 6s I had. To me the iPhone 12 isn’t much of a difference for an extra few hundreds of dollars more from the 11. That’s just my personal opinion.
definitely upgrading from my current iphone 7 32gb to either a iphone 11 pro max 256 or 512gb in May

If I were on the market for either, I’d go for the 12. Oled display, smaller bezels, camera improvements and design, which are all based on preference. However, if I owned the 11, I wouldn’t even budge. Truth be told, I recently upgraded from a XS Max to a 12 Pro Max and, while I do enjoy this phone, I could’ve easily kept using the former. There aren’t any major differences aside from battery life and camera.

Hi brandon, just have a question, based on this video, it's not worth to upgrade from 11 to 12, so would you say the same for upgrading from 12 to 13 vice versa ? I'm definitely not going to upgrade my 12 that I just got recently and will be using it for many years to come, so just want to ask in general, is it worth to upgrade iPhone every year ? Of course, with the exception of people who just go after new tech every year, that aside, in general, would it be worth it to upgrade a new iPhone every year ? I'd like to hear from you :)
