2. track from the album "Necroticism -- Descanting the Insalubrious"
Year :1991
[Music: Steer, Owen, Amott]
Lyrics :
[Speech:]
"Identifying the bodies which are decomposed, dismembered, skeletonised pose
very serious problems. We've had many cases in this department where a body
has been found in pieces, or decomposed, and we've been able to put things
together. Yes, the head, the upper part of the body, in a very badly
decomposed state..."
Excised and anatomised, deviscerated disarray
The torso diverged with pride
Deftly amputated, evulsed limbs now defunct
The trunk imbrued, tatty stumps used as lugs
For a chondrin puzzle so quaint
Head and body decollate
A heaving mass so quiescent...
Scattered and scrambled, your teasement grows
A bloody caricature to make whole
A squirming grisly jigsaw, detrital fragments fit so snug
That missing piece will leave you stumped
Totally desassembled, nicely sliced and diced
A cold mannequin once resembled
Real cranium teaser, carved from flesh and bone
So mystifying...
Battered and diffused, with placating blows
A human jigsaw to make whole
A sequacious pattern which once fitted so snug
Joining together each dubious lump
Ravaged disassembly, neatly cubed and diced
A cold mannequin reassembled
Astute brain teaser, incorporate flesh and bone
So mortifying...
An incessant game - methodically made
With each cumulative piecing - of commensated meat...
Bi-manual reconstruction, eldritch problem complete
A convented effigy
A pathological toy, each chunk rigorously
Inter mortis locking, as you pathogenically rot
Such a perplexing task
To fit the remains in the casket
Uliginous mess so quiescent...
An incessant game - methodically made
With each cumulative piece - of commensated meat... - Hudba
"Such a perplexing task, To fit the remains in the casket" Very true, from personal experience as a assistant mortician
Autopsy gremlin, is that you? :D
exordiumdeath mommy. is that you?
exordiumdeath-Iwould like to have your job!!!
Actually though, did Carcass help you get that job 😂
i am very fascinated with the death process. From the morgue, to the coroner, and then to the mortician and the funeral home, then embalmed, and then the final disposition. Very profound how life can end in an instant, and we are then decomposing, rotting away, the maggots eating us from the inside, the putrification, the gases in our bodies liquifying our internal organs. So fascinating! Friends, check out the youtube channel Ask A Mortician. You can thank me later. Caitlin is an awesome lady! She has such a great, humorous personality! Mixing humor with dying. A great combo!
Carcass is definitely my favorite death metal band 2022 and this still sounds fresh and innovative
Bill Steer is an absolute Guitar God
I saw them inHellFest 2010. in the top 3 of my concerts this year...
I saw the in 2010 Hellfest France. my best concert of this year. they played 00h to 2H am . First night (friday) the crowd was amazing
No one writes lyrics like this anymore.
Not even carcass
@mikerauter1859 good they suck lol

Awesome comment section...hahaha
Best intro ever made.
Honestly the one from Children of Bodoms song bodom beach terror sounds a bit better to me.but they are really similar.
Gotch I like children of bodom but to me this is not the same song as bodom beach terror
Gotch its better
both are equally good :)
This or Ruptured in Purulence.
I LOVE this, the solos, the insane groove in the riffs, awesome vocals, perfect classic Death Metal, as it should be!
O yes! And perfect Guitars sound, crazy, heavy with wonderful atmosphere
THAT RHYTHM THO
Roxy Cauldwell they are all actually Drs
I....just.....can't explain how much I fucking love this song, damn.
Explain it to me babe.
I'm 44. Been a fan since I was about 12. This was the first song I herd from them,on my local station. I'm Seeing them for the first time, April 28th and I'm fuckin stoked!
This album is a symphony.
A symphony of sickness
1993 wat a great year ,i was 19 then ,carcass still sound so fresh and fucking awesome live...who can compete with these sounds from 2000 onwards ....no fuckers....90s was the years of the true great bands and sounds ,thrash death and doom metal was at the height never to be seen again....glory days , glad i was there
So your 46 year old

Tampa bay was the breeding ground of 90s hardcore metal
Black metal too
I keep saying this as well about the 90s!!!! Gone, but never forgotten - it was the peak of metal !!!!!
Cool song. The vocalist sounds like Gollum reading the back of a cough medicine bottle.
other way around
U speak stupid
Jeff Walker is a OG
Nice one haha, but in the interests of fairness, I should point out that if it's Gargamel or Gollum you're after, check out Jeff and Bill's good mate Lee Dorrian from Cathedral....evil wizard mode activated in everything he sings, especially on The Ethereal Mirror and Carnival Bizarre....
Nothing beats that drum intro
Ken Owen was the MAN....
Definitely my favourite death metal band.Carcass did the special thing of arranging extemely sophisticased lyrics/words and melodies and created greatness of music. Carcass the best and greatest death metal band of all time.
coming out of the second solo - as close to musical perfection as it's possible to get...
Crescendo
The riff towards the end has me in a stupor. Incredible.
arguably the best death metal song ever
came here to post this
DolleHengst Absolutely; should be mandatory in every top 10 death metal song list, for sure.
DolleHengst Man ur fucking nuts! Best Ever?? Not even close.
Lasher Mello
OK. Hammer Smashed Face is THE death metal classic, but i like this one best
I guess Death metal was a bit after my time, to me it was the Satanic Metal of Slayer-I couldnt get into the cookie monster voice-then I heard Opeth and like the Proggy Metal stuff
I'm 42 and grew up on this shit love it!! From venom to exploited I'm a 80's metal guy thru n thru!!! 👍
+Henry Henderson we'll never die!!!!
Here Here! 80s and Metal was by far the best. Im 46 now, grew up with it to, from the very beginning to some of the new stuff now. Im kinda picky with my Metal now though .
Hell yeah.
This is from the 90's and The Exploited are Punk, not Metal.
I turn 41 in 2 weeks. 90s death metal is such great talent. I love this song so fucking much. It sounds great on subs
4:03 is catchy as hell.

The tempo changes and rhythms are awesome.
Intellectually rich and satisfying death metal from the best band to ever come out of Liverpool. This is wickedly addictive, hook-laden thinking-person's metal. Enjoy!

This album is a masterpiece!! So disappointed i never got to saw them in concert! This goes from slower, to breakneck and back to slow so fast it almost gives you whiplash!
I saw them in the early 90s with Napalm Death and Bolt Thrower at the Hollywood Palladium.
@@CesarClouds you are so lucky!
I seen this tour...they opened up for Napalm Death and blew them off the stage
I didn't see them before they disbanded the first time but I did see them in either 2014 or 2015. And they played this track as their encore, so that was awesome.
I saw them live in Johannesburg in 1993, they arrived 3 months after Napalm Death played and they absolutely killed it live!!!
There were ambulances parked all the way around the block of the venue waiting for "Mosh Pit Casualties"...
I was born in the same hospital as ken. and live like 10 miles from where Jeff grew up. too bad I was born in 86 when these guys started out. still proud by proxy!

Fucking music. This and heartwork my favourite albums of Carcass.
Holy crack, I didn't know this came out in 1991. I was born that year.
Yvonne Bocanegra same here. I still wanna cover it at some point and jeff & bill are a huge influence on my sound as well mentally on the vegetarian views.
Year older, but i wish i was able to listen to it when it was fresh.
carcass and your cute
I was born in the 70's believe it or not.
Thats cause its all about GENERATION X!! thats the time when people were REAL and music was at the top unlike the crap thats out today
One of the coolest grooviest drum intros of all time and the awesome guitar riff just beefs it up more

I can't get that drum intro out of my head.
Every solo on this album is impeccable
I have 36 and I love Carcass.one of the best band in the whole world.
Holy shirt! Finally found this song I first heard in 93 mix tape never knew who they were.
1:34 "And skeletor took his toes"
XD
Carcass kicks arse and undeniably one of their best songs, great Death Metal.
This song saving me from a panic attack is my eternal mood.
This album and Symphonies... are their best albums.
I have been listening to this since 1992 and it NEVER gets old...
That incarnated solvent abuse is so Fing brilliant it makes me feel upbeat for no apparent reason at all other than the absolute brilliance of this band, period.
I love how they made all the solos on this album descants, it gives it something not many other metal albums have. Also the distortion sound on this song is stunning
Nice and calm song
5:26 “This isn’t gay!”
Got to see them a few nights ago in San Diego. They played this for their encore and everyone went nuts, myself included. Best show in a long time, hopefully they come back out here.
I don't care how old i am this shit still rocks. Love carcass till i die

The groooooove! Dat foot pounding GROOVE!
I emailed Jeff once when I found out he worked in my govt department. He pretended he was from Brazil and not the Jeff I was after

for real, masterpiece.
Seen them at the Cambridge corn exchange at 15 years of age - a good time, a different time, a exam and school time, listening to this while doing homework lol. :)
Oh I was blessed to see the mighty CARCASS live....
When ?
Crushing riffs
Can’t help listening to this when I’m drunk gets me hyped !!
it calms me down every time when I'm pissed off and furious...catharsis
Hoping my neighbors hear this one cause it's so good lol 😂🖤
That would be better than my neighbours hearing me sing it with headphones on, at 4am on the veranda 😊 (I try to keep quiet but this song is infectious!)
44 year old father of 6 and I still love it. Sounds good as it did in '91
Such a nice song.
I saw them play this song live in Worcester ma after they had the original drummer get on stage for a min so the whole set was beautifully sick
bad ass been listening to them since the 90s.
This is my go to song with my sister !!
I love this song

Uma das minhas bandas favoritas. Incluindo todos os álbuns.
so. damn. good!
Such a perplexing task......to fit....the remains....in a casket...
this band is amazing!
Those lyrics are worth a looking at
VK goes wild
Isn't it more tasty than "Arch Enemy"?
TROLL!
Alright, someone's gotta help me out here. Until today I've been CONVINCED that the line in the chorus that is listed in the lyrics as "A cold mannequin, once reassembled" is actually "A human being, this once resembled". I CAN'T hear it any other way, no matter how many times I listen back to it. Am I crazy here or is this just one of those cases of the lyrics containing a misprint?
Best Drummer!!
Awesome
legendary riff
seeing them in nyc soon, so pumped
lyrics are sick!
ah, the memories...
I remember the Faith No More gig when they all wore Carcass T-Shirts
Saw Carcass live in 2015, it went off when they played this. I was limping for a week afterwards. Was it worth it? Of course it was!
GREAT!!!!!!!IS THE BEST SONG I HAVE LISTEN IN MY LIFE!!!!!!!!
nicely sliced and diced jellyfied trunk. I want a head cheese sandwich now.
What metal should sound like! Fucking boss man! Miss the 90's, YNWA
2:37 so sick
wonderfull!!!
Einfach Genial !!
My father yesterday, this was his favorite band...

Me había encontrado 17 pesos!
