Jake Rivers Its not just that speech though. There was the two preceding months, in which trump did little else but insist he won by a landslide and there was fraud on a huge scale. This shows intent. The fact that there was zero evidence and dozens of failed lawsuits, demonstrates that intent was criminal.
But whatever happens, his legacy is failure, insurrection, lies and the destruction of the peaceful transfer of power, a hallmark of western democracy.
