Thank you ma boi
No comments, only taking photos and beautiful shots. This is 14/10.
window thank you!
Dude. You don’t even know amazing this video is to me during a time like this. Feels like being in a god damn dream. So blissful
The best photography channel. You two deserve support on Patreon since there are no ads, no reviews, and no sponsors... You guys really stand out from the crowd. If Aputure gives you a light or even if Ilford would donate some filmstock you deserve it.
I watch this on 4 Feb 2021. Literally 2 year after this vid published! Awesome vid man! Keep it up! Love from MY ❤️🇲🇾
man Maddie is so beautiful..great photos

Quality of these videos is insanely superb.
Thank you!
this is just perfect in every way, crazy camera, really good model and gorgeous locations, and to finish it that killer light rendering so good on the pictures. Amazing to see what a picture looks like when everything come together this well. Amazing job guys
Thanks so much Sam!
Beautiful work as always guys. The aesthetics of the video and iamges in that golden liight... Just damn.
Thank you Adon!
STUNNING Pix!!
I really love the shots and the model is beautiful, but if you’ll allow a little feedback, I’d love to hear a bit of the ‘technical’ or artistic choices made here. For example, why did you choose 400H. How are you metering? Did you push or shoot at box speed? Etc. If this may ruin the aesthetic of the video perhaps it could just flash up as text on the screen occasionally. Great work by the way!
Yes, I would love this too (although I know this isn't the vibe they are going for)
Hey Joseph, thanks for your feedback! We've had this asked a few times and is something we are considering for future episodes. I don't really consider myself too technical, and personally find the composition and model to be the more interesting part of photography, so I think these videos are a bit of a reflection of that. That being said, we have discussed creating some different content which touches on these things though, so stay tuned for future uploads.
seeing te shots, Shooting in harsh daylight ( first shots in the field), avoid direct light in the face. The sun is illuminating here back in not even the tip of the nose is in direct sunlight. Summary: shoot against the light when harsh, overexpose at least 1 stop and most of all: go shoot and learn by doing. :)
That was rad
Amazing portraits
🙌🙌🙌
This is so good! I keep coming back to this video time and time again
Thanks so much!
Radical Eye Magazine for sure. Thanks for the inspiration
Some pictures are amazing.
It was only 6 minutes but tbh I could watch a whole hour of this, always so good 😎👌
Haha, thanks Aaron!
Magnifique

Thanks David!
quite amazing for hand-held.

As a Radical Eye virgin, let me just say I'm loving the vibe. The portraits with the 180mm are stunning.
Clean job 👌
Man when the light started to get low those tones looked soooo nice 👌 great work as always
Thanks bud!

If Maddie was your model for every episode you put out, I wouldn't even be mad.

wow such stunning shots
oh my oh my oh my
Well that was beautiful.
Thank you!
stunning model and camera and of course, your pictures
Maddie is beautiful in those photos!!!!
Lovely portraits of a lovely girl.
Absolutely gorgeous images mate, you've nailed the lighting in every shot and the location is brilliant. Very keen to see what you put out next :)
Thanks Sam, really appreciate it!
Didn’t think there would be a major difference between the two lenses, but the 180mm does have some noticeably stronger compression of the background and the bokeh seems very sharp
Yep, would agree. We're planning a portrait video next which will use the 180mm a bit more.
were any of these shots with the 180? i thought it looked like they were all 110 but maybe I missed something.
@@sssssssev yeah, the shots at the end after the footage of the lens being changed are on the 180mm, plus the two shots at 2:32 (some of the photos are out of sync with the lens on the camera as we didn't always film the switch). Also the second shot of Maddi standing further away in the field is on the 180mm.
Thank you for blessing us with another outstanding video! The pictures and the overall vibe are very pleasing and peaceful :)
Haha, you're welcome!
The bokeh in those shots just melts my face right off.

Ricardo Fernandez thank you!
so sick!
thank you Oliver!
Damn man, you outdid yourself again.
Thank you!
I’m a sucker for anything to do with the Mamiya RZ67 Pro i or ii. However, if you’re up for a little constructive criticism, the focus should be on your subject, film, Camera, lens or perhaps all. The music is incredibly annoying when you are trying to concentrate on the video. Silence mixed with your discussion goes a long way. I’m glad you are taking the time to get out and learn, use such a great camera. 👍
Nice Camera!
Hello brother, I’m in love with your pictures and your videos, all it’s just amazing... I was wondering what app you using for light metering!
lux
Beautifuls man!!! Beautifuls!!!
Thank you Scott!
wow. Where is the heart button?! :) Beautiful Photos
this is content I want to see more of.
Wow......amazing, however, 110mm was incredible.
Amazing
Thank you!
Damn this is hella good.
Thank you bud!
Stuning shots. What's the bag you are using?
Flynn ! Pictures are dope, it’s been the 4/5th time i watch it in years. Just wondering do you remember by any chance which shutter speed was set for the last photo ? You shot handheld so i’m wondering which minimum speed you set to get this sharp image ? I used to stay up to 1/60 minimum but i can see movement blur
thanks for watching again! i can usually shoot at 1/60 without blur, so it was probably that for most of these lower light shots :)
fuck, i’ve missed these.
incredible as always
Ha, thank you Oscar!
Are these standard or high res scans?? They are perfection!
Thank you Nalla! They are high res, but I scanned them at home. I have a love/hate relationship with scanning, and have often struggled to get consistent results. I've also moved from lightroom to photoshop to manage the files, and have been much more pleased with these results.
@@radicaleyemag well keep doing what your doing! The results are nothing short of amazing! Thx for the reply!
@@radicaleyemag What scanner/software are you using for these? I have a similar love/hate relationship scanning with my V800 and Silverfast but your results and consistency seem great here!
@@brentsmith9411 I've been using the v600. For this shoot I used a new process, which is a bit different to all my previous scans. I used VueScan to essentially create a large .tiff negative file (with no adjustments in vuescan), then converted it in Photoshop using a plugin called ColourPerfect. Worth a look if you're looking for alternative techniques.
@@radicaleyemag Your scans are amazing, congratulations!, I have Epson V600 too, but on 135mm film I never can't good scans, your 135mm scans on Yashica Mat have been done on Epson V600 too?
Really good work! What shutter speeds do you usually shoot at with your rz when shooting handheld? I’ve heard that it can be hard to shoot with it handheld without getting motion blur, yet your shots have no signs of it. Thanks
Thank you T! The slowest I usually consider shooting the RZ at is 1⁄30, but this would be indoors, where it's a bit easier to remain still. I've personally never struggled outside, but I would probably avoid going below 1⁄60. I'm guessing a lot of these shots would have been between 1⁄125 and 1⁄250, with the last few being a bit slower as the light dropped off.
post more, ur dope
Thank you! We're hoping to!
I really admire the way you can photographed every shots looks so perfectly composed and well focused! May I know what aperture size do you usually shoot with?
AlexanderNVIDIA thank you! It depends on the light, for bright daylight I’ll use f8-f11. For the shots at the end with lower light, I used f2.8 on the 110mm and f4 on the 180mm (which is as low as both lenses go).
SOOO YUM! is 90mm as good?
yep, quite a few shots in this vid are on the 90!
Just picked an Rz67 pro ii up today, this was the first video I watched. I definitely need a camera bag like that 😉 Where is it from? Cheers. Loved this 👍
