  • Change UEFI to Legacy boot - grayed out in BIOS, (Matrix RAID) RST to AHCI without reinstalling Windows 10. To Change UEFI to legacy mode first you need to convert RAID/IDE to AHCI, Intel Rapid Storage Technology (RST) same as Matrix RAID or RST premium, so first you need to change RST to AHCI and then you can change boot mode UEFI to Legacy. The tutorial shows you how to change from raid to AHCI without reinstalling windows 10 and then how to change UEFI boot mode to Legacy boot mode on a Lenovo laptop (Computer).

    • Change UEFI to Legacy ...
By default, Lenovo provides UEFI boot, so we need to change from UEFI to the legacy for that you have to disable secure boot then only you can change UEFI to legacy mode, after that, you can change the boot order whatever you want.
RST to AHCI - ide to AHCI windows 10 fast way to enable AHCI in BIOS without losing data or reinstalling Windows.
I’m trying to change UEFI to Legacy boot but the option is disabled, greyed out (grayed out).
So, to fix UEFI greyed out option, I’m trying to switch Intel RST Premium to AHCI but the SATA controller mode shows the warning: all existing data stored on the drivers will be erased when resetting controller mode
So, we need to change Intel RST Premium to AHCI without losing any data.
    Steps in the Video:
✔1. Change SATA mode from RST to AHCI
    ✔2. Change UEFI to Legacy
✔1. Steps to switch AHCi, change SATA controller mode to AHCI
Click on the Windows icon and go to Settings, Click on Update & security
Go to Recovery, Under Advanced startup click Restart now
Click Troubleshoot, Go to Advanced options, Click UEFI Firmware Settings, and click Restart.
When the BIOS setup utility interface is open, go to the Configuration tab
Find and navigate to SATA controller mode, in your BIOS version it’s maybe different
you just need to find SATA mode. we trying to switch Intel RST Premium to AHCI
But SATA controller mode shows the warning:
“all existing data stored on the drivers will be erased when resetting controller mode”
we need to change Intel RST Premium to AHCI without losing any data.
So, navigate to No and hit enter, Exit the bios without saving any changes
Let’s Change SATA mode from RST to AHCI without reinstalling Windows 10 or losing any data
To change RST to AHCI without reinstalling Windows 10
We need to boot Windows in safe mode, which saves Windows drivers for the next normal mode.
So, we need to boot Windows in safe mode
Open Windows command prompt as an administrator
And enter the following command, Windows will boot in Safe Mode the next time you reboot:
    ↪ bcdedit /set {current} safeboot minimal ↩
Hit enter and Make sure that the operation completed successfully.
Go back to the BIOS, Go to Configuration Tab
Navigate to SATA controller mode and change Intel RST Premium to AHCI
Save changes and Exit BIOS by pressing F10.
Now Windows booted in safe mode, we don’t need it anymore
So Open the Windows command prompt as an administrator
And enter the following command, to boot Windows in normal mode:
    ↪ bcdedit /deletevalue {current} safeboot ↩
Hit enter and Make sure that the operation completed successfully.
Then restart your computer, Now AHCI mode has been changed successfully, without reinstalling Windows
✔2. Steps to change UEFI to Legacy
Go back to BIOS and Change UEFI to Legacy
Go to Boot Tab. Now Boot mode should be enabled, so we can easily change UEFI to Legacy.
Navigate to boot mode and change UEFI to Legacy support
then save Bios settings by pressing F10.
Done, we have successfully changed UEFI to Legacy and RST to AHCI.

Hi, I think your hard drive is damaged.
so, first of all, try to fix it:
Go to "C" driver (Windows installed drive) ↪ Properties ↪ select "Tools" tab ↪ and Check. if you Windows find Errors let me know the error.
also, you can open cmd as admin and type:
      chkdsk C: /f /r /x
this command finds and fix your errors on your drive
Then Go to "C" driver (Windows installed drive) ↪ Properties ↪ select the "General" tab and Clean up system files if you find (Previous windows installations) mark it as well it may take a lot of space.
If it no helps please let me know, and we try to install Win on RST you can find my Facebook contact in the video description

@1234party your computer may not have been built with support for legacy booting. I think it's stupid that modern computers are being built without the choice to legacy boot but that's just the way it is. I've heard rumors that you can mod your computer to support legacy boot but I've never done physical tech modding like that before so I'm not your guy for that unfortunately. if you're trying to run a pre-windows10 OS like I was (in my case, I was trying to run windows 7) then your best option is to use a virtual machine.
