One thing I noticed is that this Bissell picks up water better than any of the other hard floor cleaners I have tried. Including the Hoover Floormate Jet, Original Crosswave and Eureka FC8

how about tineco? i switched from the bissell crosswave pet pro to the tineco floor one s3 extreme

I didn't like my tineco machine. It was very underpowered with poor battery life

found a neat use for the og crosswaves fairly useless rug brush, had the brush on my carpet washer fail so i filled the crosswave with prespray removed the solution tank and used it to dispense the prespray solution and agitate the rug and used the half broken carpet washer to extract with a 7lb weight strapped to the head and its never cleaned the rug better lol

Can you sanitize the floor using the steam feature and just water?

It doesn't have steam. You can use Bissell sanitizer hard floor solution
