- A few people have asked me for advice on making new friends when moving to a different state/ a new school. I've lived in 5 different states and went to 5 different schools before coming to college, so I understand what you're going through!! ENJOY :)

Make sure to get involved in awesome activities!! And remember that even if it's tough dealing with something at the time, looking back years later you'll be able to view it as a positive thing :)

next year I'm going to a different highschool than my friends are and I can't bear it because this so called school is HUGE and I'm so scared they've told me how hard it is and I'm crying just thinking about when this school year ends I Dont want to go there honestly
I can relate about seeing new people at my school or just people who are alone. There was one guy at a dance and he was just standing alone so I suggested to my friends that we should talk to him, and they said no. I would have myself, but I'm one of those people who is really shy if I don't know you. But a lot of the time me and my friends go talk to the people standing alone and we make new friends!

I've been homeschooled for all my life. I don't know how it feals to move to a different school but, I do know pain. I understand whatever a person is going through. And I agree. My friend was getting bullied just for being adopted! I think it was so stupid. I'm adopted so I understand what it's like. Funny thing though. Most people don't know I'm adopted and it makes a fun surprise. My saying is : " There is always an upside. No matter what."

i moved around a lot in elementary through high school too! 5 times! i loved it though. glad i got to experience so much!
In my school the guys start all the drama...it's weird, all the girls are pretty chill with each other, and I'm friends with almost everybody.
I moved from Portugal to Spain but a bunch of kids started talking to me and they are all my friends

yes because ive learned that all those popular people in highschool, once they get into college, they arent popular because in college people truly do not pay attention to you. and all those people who were popular in highschool arent going to be use to the new atmosphere of no attention so i guess you could say its kinda good to not be popular :)

I've never had many friends, and I don't know why. I actually had practically no friends since this kid who lived next door to me who moved until this year. I totally know how you felt in 8th grade. I was home schooled till 8th grade and i barely knew anyone. I also know how you feel with moving and stuff, i am a military brat so i know the separating from friends. It got worse for me because once i got friends in school i soon found out i was moving near the end of freshmen year so my last grade period was horrible.

I'm going to be a freshman at my town's high school next year and it feels like I'm going to a new school because my small group of friends I did have all went to a high class prep school and I couldn't afford it even with the $8,000 scholarship I got for art and design. I just can't afford to pay for the books and uniforms and $5 lunches. This video helps a lot, so thank you! ^-^

I was a military brat so I moved a lot. After a while you learn too not attach to anyone
I'm not moving, but I'm going to a different middle school (I'm in 7th grade) in the middle of the year and IM SO NERVOUS! The school I went to was with all the people I grew up with and my besties since preschool.

LizziesAnswers ik how it feels to sit at a table all by myself 3rd grade sucked i was mainly by myself the whole time I've never moved but I'm still losing basically all my friends from my school their either going to TSA or moving completely it sucks

I have have crutches cause I broke my ankle then I had to move to a new school. I was totally alone and didn't have any friends. It is hard to find anyone to sit with at lunch.

I am a military kid yet I still have difficulty moving... this years move will be the hardest for me because I will be leaving the Netherlands and going back to America. I am super nervous to be starting 10th grade at an actual high school because I go to a K-12 International School so it doesnt really count...
so I guess I've changed schools a lot. I spent kindergarten and 1st grade in the same school, then I moved to another school where I went from /bs grade to the middle of 5th grade. The last half of 5th grade I spent at another new school. Then I went to another town for half of 6th grade and went to another middle school for the other half. Then I went back to the school I spent the first half of 6th grade at, I spend my whole 7th grade year there. Then last year I moved again and went to another middle school for all of 8th grade and now we're moving again so I'll have to make new friends once again on my first day of high school :/
My dad was in the Army and I have been to eighteen different. Saying five schools is a lot is hilarious to me.

This year I had to go from a private school, to a public one. I was ok with the idea, but when people there found out I came from a private school, they started treating me in a different way! They believe that kids who go to a private school are snobs and bossy but that's not true! I'm neither snob nor bossy and I am also really nice to them, but they still treat me differently! well i usually skip lunch and just eat lunch at the mall or somewhere else after school i just go to the libray or the comlounge because the wifi is free there but few years later they placed free wifi tru out the whole campus (p.s the school is fucking huge ... ) i will just hang out any where or i'll just stay in the room
