well since hes using 2 jl 1000/1 they are wired to 3ohms, which is what i think you were saying but you car audio terminology is kind of lacking.....but like i said before he has 2 jl 1000/1 which put 1000rms no matter the final ohm load, up till 4 ohms

jl subs are 3ohms bassed running them in doubles is like running just 1.... run them in 3s sounds like 2 if you get what i mean..
