Thanks for the question and the answer..I am devout Hindu in India and I was asking the question to myself again and again. Today I got the answer.
Hindus didn't follow the Bhagwad Geeta and suffered heavy loss of religion and the territory.
Pritviraj Chauhan idiotically forgave Mahmud of Ghazni for 21 times and Ghazni killed Chauhan in 22nd conquest.
Whereas Bhagwad Geeta tells you to never forgive the enemy.. Break the rule and suffer.

Forgiveness is the way to Lord but in each case you must think of Dharma so when Ghazni attacked 2nd time he(Prithiviraj) must have taught him lesson...

There is no enemy. There are dharmis and adharmis. If you spare an Adharmi even if he is your relative, you also become adharmis. Sooner or later you will be crushed under the wheel of Dharma.

Later Kings understood the fault. For example, King of Nepal (Father of Modern Nepal) Prithvi Narayan Shahdev went ruthless in treatment of Islamic invaders back then. It was all after Islamic rule was already in decline and Delhi was under control of our Hindu people. I guess Shivaji's children were being conquered by British at the time. Nepal did face some war with Bengal-side Sultans, in which we won by huge margin.
Thing with Prithvi Chauhan was that he was a dharmic King. As per Vedas and rule of dharma, one shouldn't kill an armless enemy. He simply followed that. But if you see in the case of our Nepali King, he didn't follow any of that. He stated in his last will that he was very much interested in Mahabharat and he liked how the Dharmaraj even lied to win the throne. He states all of it in his last will to his children on how one should maintain a Hindu dominant Vedic state. He just simply went on killing the unqualified men from every small throne at that time. Be they had weapons or not. He even executed a Kathmandu's Malla King during Indra-jatra when he was completely drunk in night time. Basically, our Nepali King literally broke all Vedic law of war but still maintained a country of Hindu majority right there in South Asia. In Kali-yuga the right side should learn the tricks of wicked sometimes.

Hare Krishna. I am an American and am turning 18 soon. How can I join an ashram? I struggle with focusing on Krishna and go through time periods where I am doing well with devotion and other times where I become very entangled. The reason for this is I don’t always chant consistently, I need structure in order to be devotional and I often lack it in my life. Thank you for you service. Hare Krishna.

This mainly has to deal with politics, specifically left wing politics. Brainwashing students via ncert text books about mughal supremacy, mocking hindu practices, social media outlets like left wing news and media such as bollywood etc, no backbone to support hindu education specifically scriptural education, very vague understanding of rules and sadhana in hinduism (each person has his own vague understanding of hindu philosophy) etc are some out of many other reasons

I know the answer. I don’t say this glibly. The terrifying enormities wreaked by the iconoclastic Muslim invaders and the appalling slaughter and persecution of Hindus made me think a lot. After some 30 years of serious search I was revealed the reason for the Islamic persecution through a millennium. Draupathi. The most flagitious, heinous crime against one of the greatest *pathivrathais * by the Kaurava brood resulted in the fearsome punishment of the Almighty. Draupathi was not an ordinary princess of extraordinary loveliness and charm shared by five males. She stood the test of fire before she commenced her bridal dalliance with each Pandavas. She literally entered a pit of blazing flames 🔥 at the conclusion of her term with one of the brothers, survived the agni pariksha absolutely unscathed and immaculate before mingling with another brother. If her chastity was stupendous, so was her charity of spirit. All her sleeping children were cut to bloody bits by the MANIC Aswathaman soon after the end of the Kurukshetra war. The Guru puthran was caught red handed by Bhiman and the berserk Pandava was thirsting for revenge in the transports of wrath. Draupathi falls at the feet of her husband and implores piteously to spare Aswathaman, the guruputhran, son of Pandavas’s master Dronacharyar. Just pause a second and ponder the sheer magnitude of Draupathi’s anguish! All her children, the whole lot of Upa Panavas butchered most foully in cold blood, and here she begging most passionately to spare the vilest perpetrator of massacre of the offspring of her loin. A lady of such immaculacy and such most exceptional penchant for fairness was dragged by her hair, when she was having her monthly period, by her husbands’s cousin to the royal court to be disrobed publicly. An obscenest deed that did not stain the court of the most depraved Roman emperor Caligula. Neither Attila the Hun nor Alaric the Goth were guilty of such a piece of enormity, stripping a kinswoman in a royal court. The appalling karma of the kauravas was washed away by the ghastly thousand years of Muslim PERSECUTION. India has paid the karmic price. Bharat has been purged of the deepest sin a nation ever been guilty of.The stench is behind us. It is all fragrance hereafter. MNarender Mody, Almighty’s most gorgeous gift, has inaugurated the new era.

In West it's Cold Climate and the free flowing water is so Cold that you can't put your hand in it and because of this using water frequently is tedious job, so people use toilet paper etc for toilets etc. Frequently taking bath is also not a good idea because of COLD CLIMATE whereas Indian Climate is hot and humid on likes to have bath in morning and also hot Afternoon shower. People also use water to clean after using toilets irrespective of religion. Climate is Culture. Dressing in West is different because of Climate. Dressing in lndia is separate because of climate, Gandhis dress is good in India but in West one cannot wear his style of clothing because of the CLIMATE. Killing of Cow can be stop just by declaring Cow a National Animal. Just like Peacock which is India national
Bird. I think in India any one can practice his religion if he wants to follow the sikh wear turban, Muslims keep Beard, the Sadhus orange dress etc. The jains buddies, etc. Indian culture is Amar it is not going to die.
It is the favor of our creator who is giving opportunity to do some good things in this world other wise he if wish he can stray us good deeds

The incomplete surrender and unstable "ananya bhakti" devotion would be the reason, Krishna never stopped invasion into vedic culture.
The strict "ananya" although "abudhaya" devotees of Krishna's impersonal forms invaded India and ruled temporarily during medieval times. But Krishna has always protected Vedic culture by some mean or other. This would be His pastime which is an eternal connect in form of Chaitanya Lila, Sril Prabhupada in present times.
He Himself came as "abudhaya" Lord Budhha to protect Vedic culture, differently. He comes as Adi Shankaracharya to propagate Vedic culture and establish four "dhaam" in a very different style.
Its an eternal fact that actions of Krishna (and His "Mahapurushas" too) are difficult to understand by us humans. If Devotee is confident like Prahlad Maharaj He manifests from formless to Narsimhadeva form and changes the time structure of the material world. For His confident (childlike) devotees He has changed the system of time science which confuses even the yogis (ancient astrologers like Parashara, Jaimini, Vyasa etc) of the higher order. In the Bhagavatam He claims that to protect such a devotee like Prahalad Maharaj He could Dissolve and Recreate entire material domain for seven times. Prabhupad Maharaj has instructed all the devotees of Krishna to worship Narsimhadev to get the protection against any unvedic attacks.

      @23905 Před 3 lety +9

      Hare Krishna!
It isn't like that at all.
A genuine sadhu never wants to accept service from others. Instead, he wants to serve everyone, considering every soul, a part and parcel of Supreme Personality of Godhead. When they accept the post of spiritual master, it is only to guide sincere aspirants towards their genuine spiritual path. As a matter of fact, " A Guru does not need any disciples. It is the disciples, who need a Guru."
Sannyasa is Sat+Nyas, meaning total renunciation of the material conception of Life. Sannyasis dedicate their entire lives for the service of the Lord and spread, genuine Vedic message all over the globe. So it is not Vyavasay, it is selfless service (Nisvartha Seva)
As mentioned earlier it is not Vyapar. Everyone is the servant of Lord Krishna. So Bhakti is basically the process of fully reviving our forgotten relationship with the supreme Lord Sri Krishna.
When one surrenders to the Lord and becomes sadhu, he does it whole heartedly and never returns. The ever-merciful lord makes suitable arrangements for such sincere devotees.
In our organization, we have ashrams where elderly devotees who served ISKCON lifelong are being taken care of. It is the duty of spiritual organizations to serve and care for the sadhus who have dedicated their lives to the service of their lordships!
Thank you for your questions. We heartily invite you to kindly visit our ISKCON centres. For more details on spiritual life, please do contact us. Hare Krishna.
