I hate how annoying these are to kill. Not difficult, just obnoxious. Not counting the first one you encounter, the second one I fought was the one in rauh. Died over and over by missing a jump. When I finally killed it I took zero damage and then was able to kill all the others on the first try. So stupid.
I'm finding the whole DLC so far (I'm like an hour into it) to be tedious and boring. This golem fight is boring as fuck and time consuming, and that fact that you only die because you miss time a jump as he spams the same thing over and over is not good. And fromsofts control scheme doesn't react as quickly as you can hit the buttons is the cherry on top.

@@ericmicke4130 I am getting a little tired of all the bosses being "giant" so the initial hardest part is dealing with the camera.
Wing of Astel messes these suckers up so much. The skill on it just makes them stagger almost instantly.

Easier way is to just use raptor of the mists on his stomp attacks, no need for the horse and stay on his back always, you dont wanna get grabbed, just watch out for the jump attacks, it still hits you if youre too close. Good luck tarnished!

I used death's poker, jumping, and heavy armor, + mimic tear and knocked these guys out. Such a pain

Honest to god, best guide I've seen on how to fight these golems on foot/without the hefty fire/furnace pots.
I'm at Radahn I've beat every other boss and I still can't beat a single one of these. 🤣🤣
i found it easier without torrent. You can just run away when he jumps and jump without torrent. Idk why this video has so many dislikes, you cant just throw pots into all of their heads. He showed you an in depth video on how to beat them easily on your first try without cheesing it. If you watch this video and do what he says you will easily first try these guys.

Trust me rellanas twin blades wreck furnace golems, you and mimic will make short work of them I don't use them for anything but fighting them

One golem did the jump fire attack like 10 times in a row to annihilate my Taylew the golem smith spirit ash 🤦🏻♂️
By the way, can you use the same tactics for the armored version? I found one at a lake where there are a lot of dead Furnace Giants.

You can do both. 1 or 2 pots at least before a critical. I'm not exactly sure how long it stays down

I'm not sure if it's because I'm ng+5.. but these guys never fall over for me.. I've staggered them 7 times in a row, whacking away at their legs to no avail...is that supposed to happen?

bro I tried that with my lvl 713 char and got smoked. They probably purposely made the bosses more resistant to those. Blood loss it is.

I use save states and give myself a fat chunk of runes for these guide videos. Saves a whole lotta time!

Dudes making this so much harder than it is. Just get right up on his legs and use RKR on a colossal and you're staggering him in two hits. Yeah you can jump and dodge the stomps but use them to jump attack when you jump. Stay behind him so you don't get grabbed and when both his legs glow, mount up and run away from him and jump while doing it. Once he's down mount up and run to his face and you can get 3 RKR heavys before you need to RKR for the crit. He should be dead by then and if not throw a big whirlwind pot in his head using free aim before he gets up. Easy battle in minutes.
Never thought to use RKR, would have made this much quicker. I tried just doing jump attacks when he stomped but found myself still getting hit or ending up in front of him and getting grabbed. Just staying at the feet and jumping then attacking I got to a point where I can kill them without taking damage. Just takes a bit longer. I don’t bother using the horse when he jumps. Just run away and jump when the feet hit and you never take damage. Just another extra thing to do that isn’t necessary at all.

After several tries with cold spells, lightning spell. I think the best one is available to ancient lightning storm. Just stay behind his legs than spam that spell and knock him out. It might even work on the armour one too
So either way it's gonna take like 10 minutes every time
