    It’s not looking like we’re going to be seeing all 25 Bond films get released on UHD disc this year. If they were to be, there most likely would have been an official announcement about them by now. I use to think that MGM would repeat what they did 10 years ago with the Bond 50 set, apparently they won’t be.
    Now the question we should be asking ourselves is, ‘will the entire Bond collection ever be released on UHD disc?’

  • @WalkmanWillWalkAllOverYou

    Was kinda hoping the Discs would be updated with consistent Art on them.

    great review, thank you. will buy this set, I don't mind any special releases later for the anniversary, I don't believe I will be missing anything.. 😂, I like Criag as James Bond, was watching the movies in order and of course, one was left to buy or rent, which for us here in America is Spectre. oh well.

    I'd love all the releases in sets like Sean cannery, Roger Moore etc but that's me being picky, good unboxing

    Hey What's your opinion on disc rot and how can you prevent them on blu-rays and 4k's?

    • @homemediaminefield
      @homemediaminefield  Před 2 lety +4

      Thanks for your question, well Disc Rot is a thing but I don’t think that it’s something to be too concerned about if you’re storing your discs well… no extreme temperatures or humidity, keeping in protective cases etc… it’s a rare, low percentage and Blu-ray and 4K UHD have more robust coating than CD and DVD… ensuring that future equipment will be able to play the media is probably more of a realistic threat… I hope this helps? ☺️🙏💿

    so did it have the special features on the blurays?

    • @homemediaminefield

      Hi there, so I’ve checked all of the Blu-ray Discs that come in this set and they are the same discs as the previous single disc editions of these films, so with the same audio options and special features, I shall put a link to my reviews below which gives a detailed breakdown of all the special features for these films… please note that my CR review is for the 2 Disc so you only get the features that are on disc 1 plus there’s an audio commentary but not the video commentary… the other discs are the same as the ones that I reviewed however my NTTD review is for the 4K UHD, the Blu-ray has no special features on the disc… I hope this helps and makes sense? The individual Blu-ray reviews can be found here: czcams.com/play/PLrYdWl4YjnGYcXqPvuSwKRl5U-cN2UqNR.html ☺️👍🏻

    I know this may seem like a silly question, but does the No Time to Die 4K Disc in this set have the same Bonus Features as the standalone 4K release of No Time To Die?

    • @homemediaminefield
      @homemediaminefield  Před rokem +3

      Hey Keir, thanks for your message, not a silly question at all as this can all be extremely confusing! As far as I can tell it is exactly the same disc with the same special features as the standalone for No Time To Die, I hope this helps ☺️🤞👍🏻

    I got a question is the extended version is on blu ray or 4k?

    • @homemediaminefield
      @homemediaminefield  Před rokem +4

      Hi Alberto, thanks for your question and apologies for the delayed reply! I’ve been investigating this for you and it appears that the version of Casino Royale is considered the ‘extended version’ of the film, all this really means is the violence hasn’t been edited for a lower rating… full details of this can be found on IMDB but in summary is as follows… I hope this helps? Thanks Keith ☺️
      The initial UK release had minor edits in the torture scene to secure a commercially lucrative 12 certificate:
      * Le Chiffre draping the rope over Bond's shoulder, saying "Such a waste" and then removing it was cut (for being "a little too sexual" according to director Martin Campbell).
      * The rope swinging twice under the chair was shortened to one swing.
      * A close-up of Bond's grimacing face during the second whipping was cut (the two-shot of both characters that precedes and follows this close-up in the uncut version was extended to fill the gap). It is worth noting this 12 certificate version featured scenes of violence that were removed from the US PG-13 version (see above). The completely uncut version was passed with a 15 certificate in 2012 and is available on Blu-ray and 4K UHD.

    Thanks for unboxing, but in my opinion, the choice to put a large amaray, is terrible, a digipaxk would have been better. thanks again for the video.
