I really appreciate your video on the install, it was a big help! If I had to do over again I think I would attach the oil line loosely first and tighten down both ends after the turbo was attached. I had a bear of a time getting the oil line attached to the top of the turbo, because the banjo fitting did not line up flush. But, I got in on.

Yes, I had to play with the Banjo as well, and like you; got it with some tinkering. Good idea about keeping the oil line loose untill it's in👍🏼.

ahh the joys of installing a tight fitting log manifold! any issues with bolts coming loose over time on the ryker? had that happen on several hondas & have used grade 8 locking tab fasteners to stop that

Great idea. I'll be doing some runs as soon as I get a slick tire. I have been using the Draggy device and app to try and see the improvements on the street. The Ryker back tire is a bitch but my 0-60 is 1.5 seconds faster and my 60-100 is freaking crazy. Absolutely zero lag getting there. Actually it's almost scarry. 😀

Yup pretty simple considering. Basically doing a cold air, header, oil and oil pan change. Next time I'll open the shell. 😉

Before starting the Ryker for the first time, it was recommended to me that I should've disconnected the ignition coils and cranked the engine over for 20 seconds. Then loosen the oil fitting on top of the turbo to verify oil is there. If no oil, repeat process until oil is flowing to the turbo.
Now when I initially started the bike it took a few cranks before it turned over. I assumed that was the internal computer not recognizing proper oil pressure, therefore preventing the bike from starting until there was proper pressure. But as I said this was recommended to me by the people who actually built the Turbo. I would go ahead and follow their advice. If you have any questions let me know. ✌️

GREAT VIDEO GUYS!!! I just installed my turbo and came across a issue. I was able to get a top speed of 113 mph without the turbo and now that it is installed i wasn't able to reach a 100 mph due to going into limp mode at around mid 90's mph. I was wondering if you had to add more oil than the required 3.5 qt after installing the turbo to accommodate for the oil return and turbo? also when will the video to adjust the boost on the turbo be uploaded on your channel ?

Were you able to torque all nine bolts on the header? I was able to get a socket on only three of the bolts, because it was such tight fit between the flange and the header body. In fact I could not get the top middle bolt to fit through the hole. Silber had already ground off some of the header body in front of the bolt hole flange, but not enough for the middle top bolt hole. Because of the angle of the header tube, I had to grind off up the header tube about an inch. I am going to try a Crow Foot open end wrench attached to my torque wrench and see if that will work.
Yes I got it with some finesse but it was tough. I let Silber know about it and they said they will be making more room for that middle bolt.

I just got mine but I am going to install it this winter. FYI the kit now comes with set of 9 exhaust manifold allen bolts. I guess that would make torquing easier.
BTW how is the Pedal Controller working in conjunction with the turbo?
The PC works fantastic. The two are made for each other.
Yes, wish mine came with the Allens from the start, would've made things much easier. Glad Silber changed that.

Just installed my turbo kit thanks for the video it helped a lot I was wondering if you knew when you would put out the video for how to adjust the boost. And do you know if we need a different tune when the boost is adjusted higher? Justin said he had over 6,000 mi on his Ryker at full boost and had zero issues.🎉
Awesome, no video but if you message me ill help you out. Basically you remove the cotter pin and do a counterclockwise rotation with the screw. One rotation equals about 1 lb of boost. I only did one and a half max and I've kept it there. Then just put the cotter pin back in.

I don't think there's anything for it. My buddy got a custom one for his RSS. I'll try to fetch the name of the company that made it for him.

Thanks that is good to know. So that means I can get that Pedal Commander before I install my turbo. I just did my initial oil change that is why I am in no hurry. What exhaust are you sporting with the turbo? Do you get a lot of drone? I went thru 3 set-up with my Fiat 500 Abarth before I found the tolerable one lol.

Yes they are filter and heat sheild in one. Doesn't come with the kit. I actually removed them because I like the look and performance of the filters that came with the kit.
What effect does it have on your gas mileage? Now installation video very detailed. Also when are those knight rider lights coming out?
My gas is fine now lol. But in the beginning I was driving like a mad man so that had lowered my MPG.

After installation when I start my Ryker sometimes it will shut off sounding like the gas is being limited. I can rev the throttle and it will stay running. Also when putting gas in, it now says 86 miles for my range where it use to say 110 when filled with gas. Does this seem right?
Maybe check with Silber about a different tune? TBH mine would cut off before I had the Turbo, so when I come to a stop I usually check the RPM and give it a little rev. But I'll keep on eye on that.
Hopefully they fabricate one for the 600, maybe it's time for an upgrade

Bought the 900 turbo and i have most of it installed. If it want for your video i never would have attempted it. there are no instructions for this install.
I have an issue with the oil pan gasket leaking near turbo oil return - quart of oil on the floor before i noticed it. , ( think i jacked the gasket up trying to one hand the new pan into place. ) I ordered a new gasket and will mess with it when it arrives.
Q: My breather hose routing, Is it supposed to lay across the valve cover or rout above it along the gas tank.?
Q: did you down load the new tune or was it preinstalled on your programer?

Hi Todd, sorry for the late reply.
Not sure what happend with the oil pan gasket? But a quart is a lot of oil for a simple leak. If you have a picture you can send it to me on Facebook or Instagram I'll be happy to take a look. The important thing was to follow the torque specs and clean the bottom of the engine of all oil. Then the gasket to be laid flat and inline with the design. You definitely don't want to torque it down any harder than the torque specs so you don't do damage to the bolt threads.
As far as the breather tube; it definitely doesn't run over the gas tank. Should go from the crankcase to the air intake pipe on the left side of the Ryker.
For the tune, I already had the DynoJet, so Silber emailed me the tune. I'm assuming they will do the same with any DynoJets they send out just because they wouldn't want to open them on their end send it to you and it not be functional. But I'm not sure how they handled the shipping. Hope this helps to get you up and running soon.
that's what I thought until I found out that the flange for the return was warped from welding. one would think after spending so much while heavily supporting them that they would make sure these things wont happen by doing a quality control check on all parts

Where did you find the heat shields for the filters?
eBay has filter with them. I got chrome and painted them.

Love it. When open it's a monster and when it's closed it's a beast lol. I did remove the bafflel completely, felt like the one that came with it was hurting the performance. Made a custom one for the tail pipe so I could really quiet it down when not open, but I ended up blowing it out somewhere on the highway lol. Both are pretty loud, one version is just way louder and I use that when I really wanna be heard.
Working on this install now what is the part number of the exhaust gasket? You didn't mention it.
Are you talking about the manifold gasket? You can use the OEM gaskets with no problem. I added a new one because it was my 3 time doing the work. If you want it it was from a can am side by side with Turbo.
@@wokeupmens yeah this my 2nd time off and prefer the metal gaskets and have suspicion this one has been leaking.
