Please restrict this video to welders only! DO NOT allow supervisors, plumbers/fitters to see this. Otherwise we’ll be getting these gaps more than we already are.
Thank you.
lol
FACTS LMAO 🤣
🤣🤣🤣
Thank you for your service, Andres. You dont know how much it is appreciated.
Thanks for your service Marine!
That bit about freezing ur filler to adjust ur feeding hand; straight gold!
I accidentally taught myself that a week ago in class
Dude this was amazing! Awesome welding job done!
Badass 🔥🔥🔥 Thanks for yours service brother
Thank you for your service, Andres.
On big bore pipe like 40",60" 90" some times there's is no choice for the gap you have to improvising do it
Sheesh
That was awesome!! Great job!!

U are every skilled sir thank u for ur service
From El Chuco!!! Hey man, having 30 yrs experience of not being a welder, I can say that TIG was spectacular!!!
Great performance 💪✨
I’m a pipe fitter pre apprentice. Our shop had to extend 3, 28 1/2” manhole pieces by 18” using 24” schedule 40 pipe for our plumbers at one of our sites. The manhole was supposed to be 24” diameter but it ended up measuring to 23 1/4”. Foreman had us cut the manhole and then cut the 24” pipe down the length of it so it split, then cut a chunk out, close it with a chain come along, slide the manhole pieces over it, before finally taking off the come along and tacking and welding all said and done once the pieces where fitted up the gap ended up being 1 1/2”. We had three man hole pieces to extend and after the first one had been welded and the other 2 fitted the foreman came out and told us the plumbers were fine in the future with us not matching the Diameter up so long as they still bolted up fine, so hindsight 20/20 but all hands on get we got all three fully welded and ready to be painted by the end of the day
Excellent explanation with all the important detailed tips that I've never heard before. Freezing the filler for the feeding is the first time I hear of this trick. Thank you sir. 👍
Rah Devil Dog this video definitely taught me a lot, SEMPER FI!!💪🏼💪🏼
I DO THIS IN MY SLEEP BRING ON !!!! THIS IS TOP GUN!!!!!!!
I got the Vulcan Protig 205 today but we couldn’t get a argon bottle so I just stick welded two 7018s
Nice job buddy that’s one hell of a gap! Quick question if this was going to be X-rayed I would apply a post gas instead of pulling off so fast to minimise any chance on internal defects.
Can you teach us how to do that kinda huge gap with MIG/Dual Shield Flux and stick? I really struggle with this.
Moya 💪💪💪🎯
Beast!!
Yesir slick it in there (but real slow like)
ayyy EP thats my hometown!!!
I'm follow almost this same procedure when fixing/welding some agri-machine or else. Except I'm running MIG .035 solid-wire 85-95amps (adjust your feeder to fit the demand/amps), and I'm filling and capping as I go, any all position (any all Gs required to weld in place).
If a fluxcore machine is available (with core-shield gas incorporated wired, ALONG with a gas-bottle) then it's even better, and way way way faster ;)
Awesome work, thank u so much! Looks like it's all about practice and nothing else.
What is the biggest gap for joints/ what is the maximum allowable clearance according to the standards?
He wrote it in the video. 1/2" maximum according the the code.
Oilfield standard, "If you can jump across it, you can weld it" !
Love the videos and please Do a pipe video using 308 flux core tig wire .
Yes sir!!!!
That's a pack a lunch type job there..how long did this take to finish?
This is my new position now
Também sou soldador aqui no Brasil 🇧🇷. Já trabalhei em Portugal e Espanha voltei ao Brasil.

Ive had to fill 1/2” gaps 5/8” gaps due to our precast embeds being offset. And man its a bitch to do it with 8018 5/32 rod but i got er done!
Are you building up the wall to close up the gap? Or some variation of a weave? Down hand?
Kolay gelsin 🇹🇷
welding gaps with mud rods
Id probably still do it lol
Salve salve mestre
i did this back in de day for money
Would have done it with a mig..
Should you do it no. That is a job fpr an arc or large mig. But im ipressed they were able to.
For some reason every place I test at loves making me weld gaps this big…bullshit
I’ve seen people get their stencil pulled for welding a gap like this.
نعم اني اهم عامل لحام هنا في العراق وعندي خبر ٣ سنوات مستوى f1.f2.f3 .G1.G2.G3 لحيم صهاريج شحنات
Bad ass technic 💪💪💪 hot , hot for the gap 🔥🥵
Should you? No
Does it happen? All the time
1/2 in is Fair game no big deal but most fitters can't handle it.
By the way nice job 👍
Salute
Classic 5/32+ fittup, only for the insane
