- Welcome to the brixham pirate festival 2023.☠🏴☠🦜the start of the day was a march through the town of brixham,then a virtual tour of what its like to be a pirate for the day.☠There will be LOTS of pirates, military and period re-enactors here with guns and cannons to make plenty of noise! We will make sure there is plenty of music too with shanties and pirate rock to keep ye hoppin'. Buskers, jugglers and other entertainers will perform around the streets and harbour of Brixham. There will be other shows, re-enactments and events around the town through the weekend.
Extra special attractions this year include 'Atyla', an 1800s inspired Sailing ship with an impressive construction story and history, the Trafalgar Gun Company with a 10 gun firing platform giving a fantastic display and exclusive evening concerts sure to keep the whole family entertained.
The festival takes place throughout the town with main stage right next to the Golden Hind boat in the inner harbour.
We aim to make the festival suitable for everyone and all ages. There will be events for the kids to watch and take part in like puppet shows and street acts. Historical re-enactments and plays during the day. Fancy dress competition for age groups from little to ancient! Music to suit all tastes and more music in the (pirate filled) pubs in the evening. There will be cannons, guns and music so it might be loud!
Please dress up if you can, whatever you can manage will be fine even if it is just an eye-patch! There will be LOTS of pirates in costume right through the weekend so you will fit right in. We stay in costume in the evening too!
Im away from youtube for awhile,but every now and then i will release a video,as losing my dad then my lovely cairn toto hit me hard,to my loyal fans thank you debs xx🐕💔
Welcome back Debs & Phil. Wow. What an event that was. An incredible amount of pirates & some really good costumes. We loved the one on the stilts. That was nice of that couple to let you on to their boat. It looked like everybody had a lovely time. Take care guys. 😊😊

Finished a trail 27 mile hike nonstop,i was proud kept a pace of 17 to 18 minutes per mile.But i was hobbling round as my knee went,should be ok for walk the wight,airbnb all booked.Dad and my beloved toto dying hit me hard.sorry waffleing debs xx

So good to see you back again Debs. This looks like a really cool event. We stumbled upon a pirate day once at New Brighton , it was nothing on the scale of this though. That was quite the parade, we really liked the drumming! We loved your walk along the harbour front too. That ship was gorgeous too. How nice to meet a couple with a powerboat!!! We were at the Whitby Goth Festival last Sunday and a similar feel good vide but without the amazing weather. A real eclectic mix of characters on display and good to see all ages represented too. Nice to hear/see live music as well, as well as plenty of stalls. The harbour area looks real nice and the white houses behind on the cliffs and I bet you wish that was your boat, it looked amazing inside and out. I remember taking my 6 year old grandson onto a replica of the Golden Hind in London and could not believe how small it was down below decks. They got am amazing turn out for the Pirate festival but real sorry to hear how hard your recent loses have hit you and hope you are both well, cheers Alan
Thank you so much alan,yes when i started you tube i was very naive about you tube.Alot i thought was my friends were just in it for subs ect.. .Now after 2 years ,i have found who my real friends are,and i have removed alot of channels as i dont do fake nomore.Alot i have known for 2 years i have removed.

Just finished a 27 mile non stop hike with a pace of 18 minutes per mile,think i done my knee in lol debs xx

@@OlgasBritishFells Wanted to do the same as isle of wight,so my cliff hike was alot harder,so some of the hike was cliff,alot road to past maidencombe 13.5 miles and then back.the walk the wight is through the middle of the isle of wight alot roads debs xx

That is pretty cool. We have a Wooden boat fest here in Tasmania, one year the local fencing club dressed as pirates and were refused entry..... they were scared they would steal a boat I guess.

That's one good camera that you have Debs, my screen resolution is only 1k but it showed magnificent detail and colour. Costumes galore, they certainly made a good effort.
Thank you,still trying get over my dad and dog,yes my camera is a gopro 8 4k,and a panasonic lumix 250 x.Been doing 4k for 2 years now and the forests look so real.It was a fun day,i was hobbling about as i had done my knee in"i hiked 27 miles nonstop" debs xx

Thank you my dad dying and then my dog toto,really hit me hard.Just finished a trial hike of 27 miles nonstop at a pace of 18 minutes per mile.Knee went so resting now .

Hi Debs I subbed you back and checking out your channel. Wow you're doing so well on CZcams. Certainly a lot more adventurous than my movie collecting 😆 we had a weeks holiday in Brixham a couple of years ago and absolutely loved it. I had the best fish and chips I've ever had from a chippy/restaurant right next to the harbour. Literally out of the sea and onto your plate. Keep up the good work x

Love your last video,were you was in the gone with the wind film 😁,hope your both ok,im still not back yet,got 4 videos ready to go,but after dad and now dog gone,sort of still recovering.Just finished a 27 mile non stop hike,i made the mistake of keeping a pace of 17 to 18 minutes per mile.So when got home my knee went,resting now so should be ok for the walk the wight airbnb all booked.Hope you both have a wicked week ahead debs xx
