- Round Two = Oktai is getting slightly better at making friends
YAY round twoooo! My GOD it’s been 3 years since I made a second entry for a RP, can you believe that? Anyways I love this round a lot! I think comparing this to my TTWU round 2, it really shows how much I’ve improved as a writer and editor and that just makes me really happy! Not to mention I’m really excited to see Oktai starting to learn how to open himself up again and show a bit more of a his past! And even show how his past is catching up to him! Hope you guys like!
Special shout outs and thank yous to AnneLabryinth, BeautifulDreamer, and DreamingWithDragons for plotting with me! And to all of the judges and other contestants who really make this experience as amazing as it is! I truly haven’t had this much fun in an RP in a long time, and I couldn’t be happier that it’s with all of you!
STORY NOTES:
-Oktai’s aggression towards Geralt simply comes from his immediate judgement of him being a Lord and his hatred for the rich. It in no way reflects Geralt as a person. Once Oktai realizes this (and how it’s starting to effect people outside of their rivalry), he forces himself to try to get along with him.
-Dimitri finally has a name! Say hello to Percy! And yes, this is the same person that Oktai threw out at the beginning of my audition.
-The point of the nightmare is to get across how Oktai really hasn’t totally confronted his death yet. He hasn’t taken the time to comprehend that he has died, the world moved on without him, and he has no idea what happened to the one person he cared about. And him seeing the dead version of himself is him being too afraid to confront that. This is why he lashed out at, who he thought was at the time, Esmeralda. He blames her for forcing him into this situation that he never wanted to be in.
-The purple eyes/fire is not an accident, nor is it Geralt controlling him. Oktai has two sets of colored fire within him: yellow and purple. Purple reflects negative emotions, and yellow reflects positive ones (except for that one time in round one where i purposefully didn’t make it purple to save it for an extra round hahaaaa).
-Oktai doesn’t like or trust Brianne (and her friends) for one very important reason: She knew exactly what was going on the moment they met. And to him, someone who knows something probably won’t tell others the whole story. So while he’s taken aback by Brianne’s betrayal, he also can’t say he’s surprised.
-Mystery lady is on the hunt for Oktai! The intrigue continues!

Meeeg holy shit. I decided to sit down and rewatch the two prior videos before watching this, and I gotta say: your editing in this RP is TOP NOTCH!! I think it's the best you've ever done, one can really tell you've learned a lot of new tricks with the years and perfected them! All the characters always feel like they belong together in the scenes, you include so many scenes for mood and atmosphere and with many characters, I love the scenes from far away with perspective, the efforts with the lighting, the dialogue is well-written, and can I just say I love Oktai? I appreciate that he has a very heated (ah) personality, but he has very valid reasons to have trust issues, and he's slowly getting better at it! I love his scenes with Geralt and Diana too, lots of character development. Also, I've thought since last round that mystery woman is definitely grown up Marva, and I'm waiting for a plot twist where Percy wasn't the one to set fire to the house 8) (maybe Percy put Oktai and his sister in danger by associating with shady people and that's who then made them pay for it? and Oktai kicked him out to try and avoid that?)
Woooow Meg. That was absolutely incredible, all manips are gorgeous, Oktai so interesting as a character, your work with lights and effects and the length! That you're able to do so much with a character who apparently has super limited screen time amazes me 💕😍👏 great job!!!

I can feel the heart and love that you put into them and it’s very clear that you enjoy making them! I’m so proud of you Meg! Ohh wow this is so good, the scenes feel so fluid and well put together. The lighting is awesome and I made a sound between an "oh!" and an "aww!" out loud at the ending. Great work!
