What colour should we paint this Mustang? 🤔
Got a Bronco for sale? Email us at deboss.inquiries@gmail.com
Hello!
Blue?
Matte black
Or just rhino line it
Pearl White with blu stripes!
It's kind of impressive how far they got without looking at the instructions.
You know they went to school for this 😂
Good God... It looks like my entire High School parking lot all got together and decided to destroy one car with the most expensive parts they could find.
This is the most odd thing I have ever seen...
I found it the most entertaining show ever - any possible stuff up - they did it - any possible way of wasting money - they did it. Truly hilarious - but I wonder if they are watching this show - and cringing a lot.....
mates with drug money ,ideas,& no brains..
I love that you used the fender apron to protect that mint plastidip....
I'm guessing it kept sticking to his arms because that stuff is crap lol
😂
Legend has it that previous owner is still looking for his 10mm socket to this day...
lol i have like 6 of them ready to go
Rich has done one of the riskiest things any auto enthusiast can do, bought someone else's un-finished project.
This is gonna make for some great content :D
Considering how cobbled together that car is I'd have my doubts that's a real Boss engine block. Check the timing cover there should be an idler boss on the driver's side if its a non boss or F150 engine the alternator is mounted further to the side and does not have the idler boss cast into it. The boss should also have 11:1 compression. Other than that you'd have to tear into it to check for forged rods, coated piston skirts, etc.
Probably just a regular coyote, those boss 302 manifolds are pretty common upgrades for them
yup after seeing this car i dont think its real :D
actually i think that they had much much more cash than brain so its probably legit
we will absolutely verify what engine it is in the next episode.
I'm constantly reminded how little most "car guys" actually know about cars, lol.
Then again, looks like you got a heck of a deal!
Aw man I was hoping you`d do a diesel `stang, but a supercharged v10 mustang would be cool too, as long as you can participate on the build and bring us along for that one
Hi Rich and crew!
I’d just like to say, I’m addicted to your videos and your channel. I came across your video because I’m a fan of Milwaukee tools, and CZcams suggested me the video of you trying to bust nuts with the impact. Ever since then I’ve watched over 30 of your videos! I find your knowledge of cars and engines so damn impressive and it’s super awesome hearing you talk your way through the projects - even though I don’t know what you’re talking about half the time. I’m really into cars, motorbikes and engines, my dad was a motorbike racer and even though I’m from the UK, I love American cars & trucks.
I just wanted to say I wish you all the best, I can see the effort you guys put In to you videos and you seem really humble and are a great teacher.
Looking forward to seeing this series come through, you should paint it a ridiculous colour because it’s a ridiculous car - like Green!!
That was my project mustang, the engine was free and the brembos were free, all junkyard takeoffs and parts that were in the yard to get it running. We burned the tires off a few times in the junkyards parking lot and ripped it around until it started that squealing shit. Had our fun for free, just took time so it was almost pure profit. Thanks for buying it
That scream, it's a cry for help Rich... it wants your help man!
Thanks Guys for validating some work I did a number of years back, in my case I made a set of replacement oil cooler lines for an early 1980's Mercedes 300D Turbo Diesel. I ended up cutting the crimps off and trimmed the hose barbs along with TIG welding on some male 37 degree JIC hydraulic fittings & assembled a set of teflon lined braided hoses for it. worked like a champ till the tin worms holding the floorboards together decided to retire and pack it in!
It's a ford racing coyote run pack. It's like a $1600 kit. I also have one. super easy to use. It's also not supposed to have green coolant in it so that likely killed the water pump.
The coolants can be swapped, there is no "wrong" one. They simply can not be mixed, if you mix them they can produce a gel like substance that will wreck things, but so long as the system is flushed you can put either in.
Bmws are the same with the wrong coolant
Rich is the best youtuber. i watch channels on every topic under the sun, i like all machines. i’m not even in this channel for the diesel, i’m just here to listen to an entertaining guy who knows what he’s talking about!
7:02 piaa is a pretty good aftermarket lighting brand
What a steal on this car, can't believe they spent this kind of money on parts and couldn't get it going!! More money then brains!!!
I’ve gotta say that this is my kind of project car, it’s great to rip into stuff that you can see is obviously wrong with the build and then try to get the damn thing up to a reasonable state to drive before completely pulling it apart to make various vehicles perfect.
That mustang is a clear example of how most people who even mention a coyote ford projects, mostly just throw money away to build crap
i have a rcsb f150 with 5.0 but if i ever build a go fast, fun car its getting a LS motor, much more simply motor design
@@jeanvi52 ohio bro
@@jeanvi52 there is no one near me i trust tuning a truck with 12k miles
Different By Design - Then you don’t know what you’re doing. Why put a boring LS ? When you can stuff a coyote and blow any overrated LS out of the water
@@CoyoteFTW why are more LS swaps done than coyote? what coyote swap have you done?
28:07 "Non-serviceable, you know what that means. We're going to service it". Music to my ears!
A month ago I tried to press apart the U-joint on my wife's X3. Staked joints, no snap rings. Turns out the caps are pressed in at the factory, and the yokes interfere if you try to press the joint apart. The only option is to weld a nut on the cap and yank it out with a slide-hammer.
The guys that rebuild them press in the caps from the outside, but there are no specs for installation. Then they drop a bead of weld on the cap to keep it in the yoke bore. Heat deformation? Naah! What could go wrong?
I really like what the original builder of this Mustang was going for. A modern day sleeper. 9 out of 10 drivers pulling up next to this at a red light would only see a riced out V6. Never expecting a Boss powered beast!
Maybe the inverted calipers mean they were planning to ship it to Australia?😂
Finally, someone who understands both cars and hemispheres
We don’t want it!
I thought earth was flat... 🤣
Do they still make Ford's
Da vid yeah but Australia is underneath, that’s why they down under 😂
This video sums up fixing other folk’s junk. I love it! This is the perfect engine test stand for the bronco project! Great content!
Had a truck towed into the shop. Customer replaced the rear calipers and bled system himself. he wanted an automated bleed done to ABS module because the pedal was still soft. He put the calipers on the wrong side. He said the brakes are easier to bleed if the bleeder screws are pointing down lol. classic!!!
The Ghetto/Gary way of bleeding wrong side brake calipers is to unbolt them from the car, wedge a block of wood in the pad area and then turn the calliper the right way up and bleed them. You then put them back to confuse the next guy
Ugh, fuckin Gary....
Diabolical!
Done it
@@devonmathison3430 Does it actually work? I've never had to fit a wrong side brake caliper but I've heard of a few mates that have
@@kevintucker3354 He gets everywhere...
Dark shadow grey with metallic paint. Its one of fords all time greats.
"Did they torque the lugnuts?" Was debating with myself, either it'll be 3ft lbs or 503ft lbs, or maybe both of those settings on the same wheel.
Lol
3 dakkas approx.
@@David-xl8zf Is a dakka what we call an ugga-dugga?
@@om617yota8 dakkas are pixie related, ugga-duggas are made with air pressure. There's a difference.
@@om617yota8 Just in case you don't know what pixies are I highly recommend a visit to a channel called AvE.
I don't care what you say not a huge Ford fan myself but they sound great they have that really throaty Rumble that only Ford has and they've always sounded that way as far back as I can remember.
I'm partial to a metallic blue, but I'm sure whatever you decide will be great. Thanks for the entertaining and informative videos. I'm old and can't do this type work anymore, but it's fun watching and listening to you. Especially when you service 'Unserviceable parts". Take care.
That 5.0 sounds so nice, we don’t get many in England but they always put a smile on my face when I hear one drive by.
I'm quoting Mr. Regular : "Plasti-Dip my shame..."
Also, picture of the O.J. Simpson police chase - "this is the car we're looking for!". Ford Broncos finest moment , lol.
I love getting paid to figure out basket cases like this.
Favorite 1 so far was a no start 1960s hotrod camaro that the guy switched over to hei ignition. Found they wired the factory coil wiring to the new distributor, 12 volts on 1 side and and cranking bypass voltage on the other. Would push start but obviously never crank and start on its own.
I bought a set of milawukee impacts mostly because you use them and they work so well, got the m12 fuel 3/8 and half inch impacts i love them
The PIAA switch is for custom lighting. Usually, they're on trucks for off road lighting on the top of the truck or in the bumper for fog lights that weren't included from the factory.
If the squeak noise comes back, pull the oil cap off with it running. That sounds just like vacuum in the crank case from a bad pcv valve or someone routing the breather to behind the throttle body.
Your channel is always the best youtube time waster out there. The best automotive entertainment for sure and I can't believe you're practically living in my backyard. Keep up these extended length project videos
So excited for more content from you rich!!! I've been super inspired to get more dirty and greasy than just working on my silly drift cars. Can't wait to see where this goes!!
Anyone else envy this dude more than pretty much anyone on Earth? He has so much fun.
26:20 Rock auto 'starter cable' is a wiring loom.
Sounds like some highschool kid w/ a decent job and no bills building a car, but just zero guidance from someone experienced to get it right. Imagine what that car would be like if Rich took that kid under his wing.
I was thinking the same thing.
I'd like to think the kid learned a ton along the way. I know my first projects were not great at all.
titus142 Im working on my first swap now, and I have learned so many things. I already know my next project will go much much smoother
This was totally me at 16-18. A fierce engine and one brake out of four working. Fortunately it was a front brake so it did excellent donut burnouts.
Totally love the latest videos... Awesome cutting and editing work and the main actors are getting better and better :) Smashin' !!!!
The sound that comes out of that Boss.
Lol love how you point at the various puddles to show what you fixed lol I had a Bronco I just gave away as I didn't have room in new shop. Oh well that was last month. Now I think I want to get a 05 Stang and put a bunch of random wiring in it for some reason lol
Sweet your finally doing ford things paint it cobalt blue it color shifts👍👍
Smart move grabbing the fire extinguisher. Haha
I can tell you from experience, when shit is on fire in the shop from gasoline, it is HARD to find fire extinguishers.
I'm super glad that one of my favorite car CZcamsrs is doing an engine that I have. I'll be taking notes. 😁
I’m about to lose my sh!t, lol. Anybody who’s turned a wrench on a ford has definitely said that!!
You pick on it but it doesn’t look too bad if you ask me. I’d rip it around town. The squeal is a loose belt, the tensioner on my Chevy van was worn and did that every morning until it was fixed. Pretty sure my neighbors loved it at 6:30 am
See Jay Leno’s post of his Bronco with a GT500 engine in it. Holy shit!
I think you should paint it white with a black stripe like the truck. Call it the DeBOSS 302!
I've put the left caliper on the right and the right on the left... When I was 16.
mustang colour i think ford true blue.. great work guys.. here we go... meow!
The coyote engines deffinatly make good power and sound great but good lord they are physically massive lol.
PIAA is a switch for PIAA driving or fog lights.
This episode brought to you by AvE
"Focus you FAK"
Oh Fuck Yah, Bud.
Is it really that complicated to hit 'autofocus'????
Oh man, I miss my 89' XLT.... had the damn high beam switch under your left foot!
If you are going to strip off the plasti-dip, make sure it sits in the sun during a hot day before you try it. If it is cold, it will make it stick to the paint a lot more. If your pressure washer can hook up to a hot water source, that would even be better. I'd stop short of using a Hotsy or similar piece of equipment, because it can start to take off the clear coat or even the base layer of paint.
I can bet that this mustang was put together in Brampton or Mississauga shops (I won't point nationality of mechanics but you can easy find it out)
NOBODY:
DEBOSS: "These are all the things I hate about Fords"
NOBODY:
DEBOSS: "I'm building a Bronco"
Deboss garage the brakes on that mustang are gt350 brakes which would be awesome on the bronco build also they are a bit pricey
Also that harness is the Ford racing swap harness. if you have any questions I don't mind helping answering any questions
I'm hoping they put the Godzilla 7.3 in the Bronco along with the 6.7
Great🍺👍👍👍....❤️ "Kim Ngan river barge craft" wishes you good health, and I hope you have many interesting initiatives💕❤️🥰
Great project! 👍🏻 keep the episodes coming
That is a cool song playing when you are bolting in the steering rack
the Rosary hanging off the rear view mirror is a clue!
You could weld a wobble socket on the steering shaft to connect the steering wheel to the front wheels.
14:12 Thats how I start every Ford I work on. 😂😂
it's not a dodge

Now it's the DEBOSS302 GARAGE.
Damnit rich... i wanna see the D-max c-10 done allready... and the f-tree kitty...
I know. Don't worry, the C10 has had another 100 hours into it. Ready to fire it this week
C 10 , cab gas fill, what do we do with that, Rich asked? What of a air pressure gauge, like a semi uses with two indicators, one tank / one brake???, with your fob remote you could look at your ride level , and remember what ride/handling came from what pressure(s).
Even though I’m a Chevy guy I say you can’t go wrong with a red mustang
I’m about to do the same swap on a f150 obs couldn’t have posted this video at a better time. Now I’m going to compare on what things you use if you can be descriptive on how your going to control it that’ll be great!
" I feel like I have to pee, but nothing comes out." Its called a UTI, get yourself checked out. lol
That was truly a great video - can't wait for more !!!! :)
You are the most entertaining person on youtube straight up! And you know your stuff and get to do what you love! Kudos
Great project not a fan of that year mustang but giant fan of that motor thanks so much for sharing your mechanic skills with us been a mechanic for 35ish years and you my friend teach me so much Thumbs Up My Friends Extremely Proud of You
I’ve always liked the look of the yellow boss mustangs
PIAA is a headlight manufacturer. So the switch is probably for some lights that used to be on there
Pink. A nice deep shade of pink.
Had to replace that shaft on my 05 f 150 like 300 aftermarket. Ford house tried to have me replace rack first after ball joints. They know how to make some money.
Actually sounded like one cylinder wasn’t doing as much as the others when cranking.
Scissor jacks make good little porta powers when were putting on flat beds, a little small for a rugby or champion body though. I've been thinking of trying to diesel swap my 94 bronco but were buying a home first
Color : Blue , Had a 70 Torino GT , 429 CJ , C6 trans , Heavy suspension , It was red , wanted to paint it Blue with a Pin striped "BLEW BY YOU" on the tail , she was quick , gas went from $1.20 to $2.50 back in the old days , she was getting 3 gallons to the mile , had to let her go , regret it still
Those 5.0s are pretty descent right until the #4 and #8 valves decide it's time for early retirement.
If the body is going to a mate to build - then there is only one colour you should paint it - lolly pink! :)
I had the same squeal on my wife's Defender. It was the waterpump on that.
Love it, you spend a bit of time and cure what they couldn’t.
The coyote never came with a power steering pump so that has to be some aftermarket kit.
ohh the brake bit was gold
Thumbs up for Broncos!!!!
Hopefully they might have a V8 engine opt.
I'm guessing it'll be the 3.5 Ecoboost from the F-150
None of their V8 engines fit into the Bronco bay. They're talking about a Bronco Raptor that has the 3.0L V6 EcoBoost high output tuned motor in it with the 10 speed tranny. Just going to have to suck it up and get used to a Turbo.
@@Studio23Media They said that's too big to fit into the Bronco as is.
Wrangler is getting a 6.4 HEMI
It's built in the same Factory as the Ford Ranger so the base engine will be the 4-cylinder turbo the 2.3 eco boost but you never can tell with ford
I have a ‘79 bronco that I picked up for 500 bucks from a buddy years ago. It needs a lot of work but I wanted to build a 460 for it until I got my 01 f250 7.3 diesel and now I got diesel fever and want to 7.3 swap it!
The way that wiring was, good thing there's a crucifix hanging on the mirror. . . . .!! Yikes!!!
@Gear Jammer Nice attitude! I will pray for you!
Gear jammer , think .
The six "days" that God used to create the world don't have any comparison to your worldly "days"
Adam and Eve could have been in the garden of Eden for millenia .
There is no reference to 4000 years , as you say .
You have a narrow understanding . Whick means , you were lied to , or you lack the understanding because you are afraid . (To fear God is , the beginning of wisdom)
Even so , you can't deny that the love of Jesus , and his teachings are a beautiful way to live . A great way to deal with the human condition .
Plus , he paid YOUR sin debt also .
You read the book , with some guidance from a believer you trust , and it should start to be understandable for you , too .
Leave the world , in the world . The love of Christ is more than adequate for all . Be more Christ like .
God bless you , and keep jamming those gears .
As my true gods (Beavis and Butthead) said in the true book “ummmm burrito” lol jk
I thought this was going to be a badass video putting that powertrain in a Bronco. But I'll be honest the amount of sarcasm in the video kind of killed it for me. I guess it turns out not everybody is a Master Mechanic. I don't think that is a reason to be overly critical of somebody. Everybody has to learn sometime.
The coyotes run really well stockish with the ls in-line fuel pumps
They regulate the fuel psi at like 50-55 psi.
This looks like an entertaining series to start next 😁
Yeah as a Chevy guy it makes me die a little on the inside that the new bronco is going to be wayyyyyy better than the blazer
That strut tower is minty
I know a guy with an 89 bronco. I think its an Eddie Bauer edition. Has like 45k miles on it with a 351w and he is the original owner. I tried to get him to sell it to me but i doubt it will ever leave his hands even if he only drives it about 5 times a year to town and back then drains the fuel 😂
That looks like fun. My next project eventually is going to be a 4x4 crew cab I want to make into an outlander.
Have you seen Jay Leno's Bronco? Has a 5.2 supercharged Shelby motor in it on a completely custom chassis. It's crazy
