- Released in 2015 the LEGO Star Wars UCS Slave 1 is the best rendition of Boba Fett's famed starship by far. Originally retailing for just $200 it was a relative steal. Thanks to new appearances in The Mandalorian and Book of Boba Fett, the UCS Slave 1 now fetches about $500 NEW! This one had 4 Minifigures with Boba Fett, a Bespin Guard, Stormtrooper, & Han Solo in Carbonite.

#LEGOStarWars #BobaFett #LEGO - Zábava
I just realized that if LEGO decides to remake this, they’re probably going to call it the UCS Boba Fetts Starship
that is way too scary to think about...
That’s hilarious, his actor will not be happy at all if that happened
Imagine if they call it the “ucs firestorm gunship” and we get a Ronald Raymond and Martin stein firestorm
UCS Boba Fett's Firespray Gunship
@@Kanglar knowing the lego Star Wars ucs designers, they’re gonna call it the firestorm gunship from dc
This set is quite special to me. Every Christmas, me and my uncle would build a large Lego set (like Jabba's palace and underground, the Milemium Falcón etc.) He bought this one the year it came out, and it was the first time we tackled a UCS Lego set. It was super fun and amazing to see the end result.
However this would be the last set we would build before he passed away. I now take care of this set along with all his huge Star Wars toy collection, but this one will always hold a special place in my heart.
Damn man , amazing story. I hope everything’s alright, I hope you’re alright, and still collecting. 🤝❤️
my condolences bro 🙏
your gonna make me cry bro
My deepest condolences dude
My condolences to you and your family.
The only thing that I don’t like about the model is the thrusters being blue, instead of the accurate amber-yellow color. Apart from that it’s a pretty fantastic set.
Simple fix if it really bothers you but yeah i agree
It's weird he didn't even comment on that considering it's a much bigger mistake then using the wrong Obi-Wan in the General Grievous ship set, which he then put on his worst sets list despite everything else being good. The blue boosters is really bothering me since reading your comment 😂
@@dustinakadustin He probably just doesn't realize and when mentioned he will notice and agree
when u first start the engine it is blue, then it turns orange
Yeah. My brother and I (when building it) assumed orange was too expensive for LEGO to make
My brother has this set. He got it 2-3 years ago from my grandma. He’s in collage now so I “stole” it and it’s a GREAT collectors piece!
"collector's piece"???? What about "theivers piece" lmao... Can't say I blame u. It is nice
@@hoarder66 it’s not like I accidentally destroyed it like his LEGO star destroyer 😀
Haha, I also "steel" sets from my brother
@@cringeanimations7227 "accidentally", bro your evil 🤣
Make sure you keep it. These days kids don’t appreciate the value of toys. Now as adults, we’re the ones buying toys, not because of its values, but because it’s fun too.
The only thing missing from this set is the seismic charge 🤤
💥😳
They probably didn’t because until 2002 the slave 1 didn’t have a seismic charge, and this is based off Empire Strikes back which obviously never used one. And we haven’t seen the Boba’s Slave I use the seismic charge until Mandalorian, so it wouldn’t had made sense
Fuuuuuuuuuuuu pou BUUUUUÙUUUUUUUM
@@Ginkrepeerc_ it's the same ship it would make sense to include it
@@dustinakadustin For canon yes, but not for this particular set.
“Help me retrieve my firespray gunship” he wasn’t wrong
He wasn’t right either lol
@@Mac_Windowsill he was right
@@Mac_Windowsill yeah he was
He called it the firespray gunship so whatshername can recognise it
The breaking issue is real. I just acquired the UCS Sandcrawler and had 32 broken red tiles. I was crushed. Thankfully the majority of them were in non-visible areas and some craggle saved the day.
Was it used or new in box ?
@@justinclarke2204 was new. Bought from an Ebay seller. It was otherwise in great condition. Box looked like it was fresh from the factory. I had issues with other older sets from that era. Some red plates on my modular Movie Theater set also cracked and broke. The only color that had issues on the crawler was the dark brown plates.
I quite like this set, mostly because it’s easily the most accurate version of the slave 1 and not just because it’s minifigure scale.
I wasn’t interested in these type of sets when my family got it from a friend. But now that I’ve gotten into more display and detailed sets, I am so glad that I have it now.
Back In the day, looking at Boba's starship in the film, I thought it was weird, the way it was shaped, the way it flies, the way it lands. Still looks cool. I still have this unopened. For a UCS set, it was quite affordable when it was released. Definitely jumped the chance to get it
Ah yes, back in the days when my ship is still being called "The Slave 1"
:(
Its still called slave I what are you on about?
@@madselmvig1457 nope, u dont follow the news I guess
@@denizbeytekin9853 The rumors you mean, sure. But it is a LEGO decision, neither Slave I or the Razor Crest are called those names in the small packages, since those names are copyright at Disney, so renaming the "cheap" packages to generic names, give more money to LEGO. MandRP also talks about it in the Razor Crest video. The expensive packages are still named as they always were.
@@denizbeytekin9853 just because the lego set is named "boba fetts starship" does not chsnge the name in actual star wars
I only picked this set up back in November 2021 and wow what a beauty! I was very lucky to find FB seller with this and UCS Y-wing. I bought both used but in perfect condtion for retail price for each! I was one happy guy on that drive home.😊😊
The UCS Slave 1 is my second favorite set in my collection, behind the UCS Gunship. It's such a beautiful and jaw dropping model!
My dream set.. but so expensive.. I wish they remake it with Boba and Fennec (just like they did with Tumbler). I would also really like Jango version to be released. Love the blue Slave 1
Very happy that I got this set a few years ago and it looks great on the shelf. I even kept the box because it looks so good. Also, nice meeting you at Brickfair a couple weeks ago.
The UCS SLAVE 1 is my favorite UCS set, the box art is just so beautiful, and the build is it is just so amazing.
This was my first and only ucs set and I absolutely adore it, I've had to rebuild it like three times cause I can never find a shelf that it won't fall off of.
Do you have a desk or table you can put it on?
@@CanadaBricks I have a better bookshelf now with a backing behind it, I'm not worried about it anymore. I don't mind building it again anyway it's a fun one.
It's my only UCS set also. I made sure to keep it on a shelf that's backed up against the wall so it's always sort of leaning against the wall on it's stand. It fell over once after I had just completed it and trying to piece it back together wasn't fun. Still it's an awesome set.
same happened to me and my Saturn V a few times 😂
Bro this is probably one of the best sets made by lego
why does he buy a new one if he already owns one?
@@denizbeytekin9853so he can show a brand new one for his review
The slave 1 is one of my favorite sets ever, my grandma bought it for me when it first released and it started my collection.
I remember getting this set a few months before it retired. Still love it today!
When this came out in 2015 I was only 10, and I wanted it so bad for 2 years It was my most coveted set. My parents surprised me with it for my birthday in 2017 and managed to get it just before it retired. Still to this day my favourite set ever. Shame it’s so expensive now but it’s fitting for such a legendary set.
I almost had the exact same thing happen to me. I was obsessed with this set and everything boba so my grandpa got it for my 12th b-day (also in 2017), I remember my mom let me stay up late that night so I could finish building it, such good memories. This will always be my favorite UCS set and I feel bad for the people who did get a chance to pick it up but hopefully they’ll remake it someday.
I always wanted it during 2015-2016, (I was 11) and during this time, I wanted it so bad. Sadly, I postponed it because I wanted another set, (I think it was the Ewok Village), and I bought that one, so I saved up for this set and when I finally had enough, it retired 2 weeks before. I was so disappointed and I’m currently in a bunch of bid wars on eBay for it lol. Woulda been better to get it then, I’m currently tryna get it used for abt $350 dollars. Glad you guys got it when you did 😂
The reason the box said exclusive instruction because of all the extras you get in the beginning of the book, like you said in the video, it was one of the first instructions book to do that
This is a set I can’t wait for a remake of. I’ve had the 2019 and 2021 slave 1s but none of them have ever come close to how great this set is
Yes, definitely one of the best sets ever! Absolutely love it.
You answered your own “exclusive instruction manual” question when talking about the manual being the first time (or one of the first) to include details / pictures on the ship and the design team. LEGO probably looked at that being a premium “exclusive” feature then before rolled out for Most large D2C sets.
Safe bet this will be updated and re-released like the Tumbler. Might be our Summer / August UCS set with the next MBS being in November.
This is such an amazing set. Still have the box. Great artwork on it. Very pleased to say this was my very first Star Wars UCS set and it will most likely always be my favorite. Well worth the price of $200. I'd hate trying to get one of these now. It's only going to go up in value from here on out.
Always keep Lego boxes. Even opened sets are still more valuable than the original store price once they retire. And tbe box will add to that value.
Easily my favorite lego set from a ucs ship especially with the light kit I put in it just made it come to life
Dude those exclusive building instructions are so cool
Forever my favorite set, cannot be beat
I bought this a couple years back knowing it was going to be one of the big nostalgic star wars sets thats everyone needs to have in 10+ years
Definitely one of the better UCS Sets. The Slave has always been a highly desired spaceship, and I love the way how detailed they shaped the set.
The only thing I would have liked to see is the seismic bomb chute...
Such a beautiful Lego set I'm so glad I was able to get my hands on this before the price shot up like crazy
This was my first Lego set comming back as an AFOL and had the wonderful luck to be in 2015!
14:46 the rest of the interior could already be seen in clone wars,
after Boba destroyed the Endurance
in order to kill Mace Windu.
and mandalorian season 2
Wow, never knew about the red bricks going brittle and I actually dropped mine once! Guess I was lucky none of the bricks snapped.
I remember trying to sell my sealed one, brand new mint condition in the box for $300 back in 2020. People called me crazy for asking that price. Glad no one bought it.
Truly Awesome model that i wish i had. Just wanna say i personally think it looks better with boba's cape being put on after the jetpack so that it partially lays over the jetpack love the vids man! (also' the mandalorian symbol is a Mythasaur skull)
I love the dark red bricks reference to your vlog
I somehow lucked out and got this set for $250 after it had already retired, and it was worth every penny. Easily one of my favorite Star Wars sets I own
I have been waiting a long time for this.
I’ve just picked this set up, very excited to build it!
Once covid hit and everything closed down I got this set for 450$ it is worth ever penny to me. Its beautiful and really fun build. My only complaint is the sides feel a bit flimsy but i love looking at this on my shelf. 10/10 highly recommend.
Hell yeah me too! I was able to negotiate 380$ since it was missing pieces, went to another separate local store where they have Lego bricks and managed to get the remaining pieces for like 10$
I'm surprised they included an EXCLUSIVE Slave 1 build inside this set in addition to that exclusive instructions book man! Chef's kiss!
Shoulda saved a Naboo Starfighter review :P can't wait for Lego to make the new version :D
This is my favourite set it own. Solid 10/10
The real flex is that he has another one back on his shelf
I find the display stand on the newest slave 1 cool because it’s kind of a throwback to this one
I bought this at Christmas of 2016, I used all my money to get it. What a beauty and perhaps the most beautiful box art!
In 2015 I almost bought the UCS tie fighter over this, so glad I decided to get this instead because it’s amazing
“This is getting out of hand, now there are two of them!”
Yes I’ve been waiting for this for so long
I got this bad boy almost two years ago on eBay for 240, came with the original box which is in great condition and the guy who sold it packaged all the pieces into their respectable numbered bags. So it was like brand new, can’t believe I got it for that price
Currently rebuilding mine that took a nose dive off a shelf! None of my red bricks broke thank god!
Traded my phase 2 Rex and tactical Droid along with many other figures to pick up this set a few years back, I miss Rex but I still don't regret my purchase
got this a few years ago, unfortunately decided that I liked it better displayed in landing position and lost the stand, very regrettable but still a beautiful set and love every time I pass by it
This was my second LEGO set as a grown up and my first UCS. I now have 20 UCS and many other Star Wars sets. Just no money.
I got 2 of these during Covid for practically retail brand new to put away and resell in the future 😊
I'm glad i bought a 2nd one of these things back in 2015 which is still mint in box.
Bought this one today to add to my collection. Nearly $500! Worth every penny though, one of my favourite UCS sets.
In the early wave of this set, the sticker for the stand had a typo. Instead of Phylon F1 tractor beam projector, it read Phylon F1 tracor beam projector lol. I didn't notice it till Lego made a statement and people could get replacement stickers, but I opted to keep it.
I’ve had this set sealed in box chilling in my room for like 2 months now.
All time favorite lego set right here
So happy I got this set when it came out.
No regret buying this set 2 years ago :)
Needs the iconic Seismic charge. I think everyone smiles when they hear that explosion.
Yessssss ive been waiting fo this one🔥🔥🔥
I can't wait to build this set, I've been holding off to see if a newer version is releasing but looks like it's a no. I hope they rerelease a UCS imperial shuttle next year for 40tj ROTJ
I got this set. Was fun but hard in steps to do but go it done . Always keep ur booklets.
I think they wrote ”exclusive building instructions” cause of the interview and the info about the model. Nowadays we take it for given, but back then it was quite new.
I bought this set right before it retired, I didn’t even know though. I guess I just had good timing, definitely my favorite set I have and most worth it
i got this when they still sold it like in 2019 or something and i love this set
I have the UCS Falcon and AT-AT, but this is STILL my favorite piece in my collection!
I got this set used but in excellent condition with box and instructions included. I got it in summer 2019 after it already retired for only $135!
Lucky, just paid 700 Canadian for mine a week ago
Ask MandR: You do a fantastic job of placing stickers on your sets. Have you ever done a tutorial video showing your technique or would you ever consider doing one? Would love to see how you do it because I struggle getting them perfect.
Use some tweezers those work great for me!
I find with most small to medium sized stickers than you can move them a litte just after you applied them if you do manage to get them in the wrong spot. I use my thumb to slide it into position just after fitting them to get them exact.
Ive been waiting for this
One of the best box arts ever!
Just got this set a week ago love it so much
Just got this set for $80. Fully built. Looks amazing
I have this set and I built it at work when I was working at a call center
This is my #1 Lego set, period. Not just Star Wars sets. It was and still is one of my most expensive sets, and it’s worth every penny. Esp as I only paid £150 for it new
Such a beautiful set
I was waiting for this video my guu
I think the exclusive part is referring to bonus content in UCS sets. Backstory etc. just a thought.
I’ve been waiting for you to review this for years
OMG!! I was just looking to see if MandR did a review of this last night. All I found was him doing a drop test.
This thing rides my shelf, Like A Bantha!
Great video
Ryan has at least 3 of this set. A dusty one on the shelf, a boxed one to keep sealed forever in the garage/storage, and this one for the review. 😄
Just 2 :)
@@MandRproductions My bad!
It’s my favorite UCS set I own. Including the Falcon and Star destroyer
A Lego Masterpiece. One of my favorite sets I own.
There was a video I watched the other day, that someone modified the cockpit to have Boba, Mando, and Grogu in there, plus it still rotates, and then they added the seismic charge bay. I'll have to dig it up and give the link.
I just wish it had a little compartment on the back for a seismic charge to pop out. Theres a spot below the main engine outlet, where two 1x4 plates cover a spot that was maybe meant to contain a seismic charge?
I love this set I got it for Christmas when I was 9 good times great set
Great set I have this one and two copies of 6209
I got one of these for 160€ at a retailer a few years back, which was apparently the last time this set was ever below the RRP (by that point Lego had already run out of stock). Definitely worth that price, but I'm not sure about spending much more than the RRP.
I usually only buy sets 50$ and under but if they made a 200$ “firespray gunship” I’d probably buy it
Original trilogy boba fett: Badass, kidnapped Han Solo and was a ferocious bounty hunter
Book of boba fett boba fett: “LiKe A bAnThA” and “Go MaKe BaBy BaNtHaS”
I own the UCS slave 1 and I got it displayed next to my UCS AT AT
I bit the bullet two months ago and picked this up for $500 and I’m so happy I did
I like this Set. It was my first UCS Set.
I just love the model from the beginning. I just switched the engines to orange
