- In today's video, we are making Alabama White Sauce. If you've never had, or even heard of Alabama White Sauce, this is a MUST TRY! Alabama White Sauce was made famous at Big Bob Gibson's in Decatur Alabama. There are many variations of this recipe, but this is my absolute favorite as described by Big Bob's world famous pitmaster Chris Lilly. Follow along at home, and see the full recipe below!

Alabama White Sauce
***********************
Ingredients:
-2 cups mayo
-1 cup distilled white vinegar
-1/2 cup apple juice
-2 teaspoons prepared horseradish (creamy works too!)
-2 teaspoons fresh ground black pepper (I use #16 mesh)
-2 teaspoons fresh lemon juice
-1 teaspoon salt
-1/2 teaspoon cayenne pepper
***********************
Prep:
-Mix all ingredients in a large bowl until well incorporated. Transfer to a mason jar, and store in refrigerator for up to two weeks!

thanks. I was disappointed that so many recipes had tons of sugar for the same amount of mayo. I could see maybe adding apple cider vinegar in less quantity with like a tablespoon of honey or brown sugar but I saw crazy recipes with a quarter cup of honey and a quarter cup of brown sugar. I'm low to zero carb eater so I'm glad to see that it tastes good without sugar in it.

Don't worry about not knowing about it, it's virtually unknown across the state outside of Northern Alabama. Im born and raised in South Alabama and never heard of it until it was on some list about the states that popped up on Facebook.
Great video. That’s a good looking sauce. I’ve heard of it before, but haven’t tried it. Thanks for sharing.
Hey! Thank you so much for watching! And man, it's a killer sauce! Nice change of pace!

Ash Kickin' BBQ now, if only you could ship us some to taste right now!!!! We need a BBQ delivery drone!!😂👏
Maddie & Kiki haha, well I’m not too far! Just in Minnesota! I don’t think my drone can cross the border though! 🤣
I add a teaspoon of sugar and go lighter on the vinger I use like a half cup or so I eyeball it at this point and it's definitely better the next day ,and the lemon juice acts as a preservative while adding flavor.
gonna try this! see a lot of alabama white sauce being used recently. time to throw it on during some cooks!
Meaty Mike you won’t regret it brother! So refreshing! 🔥
Ash Kickin' BBQ awesome 😎 I’m in

@@giancarlocaicedo238 wow very cool! Hope y’all are doing well there! -from cold Minnesota, USA 🤣
After in fridge what is best way to warm up? Microwave? Thanks for sharing and I’ve subscribed!
Thanks for the support! It doesn’t really need to be warmed up. Hit the meat with it and let it sit on the cooker for a few minutes and you’ll be good. The heat from the meat will warm the sauce 👍🏼
Im curious to see how that cooks on some chicken. Never had it before, will definitely try after I see what you do with it.
Thanks Kirby! I'm going to have my wing video dropping this week and use the white sauce in it, super good! Definitely a refreshing sauce! Thanks for watching man!
Shits amazing
Smoke your Chicken, and then when it's done, dip the entire pieces of chicken into the sauce. Beyond amazingly delicious and will have you hooked after the first cook.
@@chilidog1 is this sauce cold or let it get to room temp?
SUBSCRIBED 💪🏽
Thanks so much for the support! I appreciate it! 🙏🏼🔥
This popped up after watching Moe's version and I wrote it down to try! Btw, this should last in the fridge WAY longer than 2 week considering how much vinegar is in there 💪
Awesome man, thank you! And yes it should, but I don't want to have people think it's good forever and then get sick or something, lol.
@@AshKickinBBQ I hear ya, man lol. Now they can blame me if they do 😂 Thanks for ol' Bob's recipe!
@@SouloDoloMusic lol! Gotchu bro! Thanks so much for watching and the comment man!
Sugar and garlic powder and it’s perfect
