I think the album version is much better. I've already knew how to play this solo, but your tab is perfecto because you aslo teach the chord progresion.

as a late entrant to the art of guitar, i have found tabs to be essential for my own ease of learning...but not all tabs are equal.....for me, Nicola's tab layout is easiest for me to learn from. i can still learn from most tabs, but this format flows with my brain more fluently than most others. keep it up Nikola, good job mate. 🎸🎵

You have to be out of your mind. This could have been written as an exercise by a guitar teacher teaching a first year student.
@@JohnM-cd4ou Of course. Every guitar student with only one year of practicing knows how to play hammer on, slides, pull off and bendings. The solo is simple, but unique.

Thank you very much! Your simultaneous fretboard and tab videos work well together. I'm used to using music notation and my ear, but neither watching hands nor reading tab. Having both together made it much more useful than either by itself. Very effective, gracias!

Thank you so much Nikola, great. I have a beginners question. How come the song is in C major and then the solo makes use of the A minor. Is it because pentatonic-wise they are the same (A minor mentatonic equal to C major pentatonic)? Thank you

Yes, both scales have the same notes, but C major pentanoic would be more correct. I usually visualise things in the minor pentatonic and that's why i put A minor

I'm pretty sure it's a stratocaster highway one, it was made in usa 15 years ago, it has the 2 string trees, which is only on lower end american instrument and has the big headstock and the 6 points trem, you can also see that the nutt from the truss road is chesnut, which is another proof that it was made in usa. It was the cheapest strat Made in america you could have buy at that time, but I dont think the pickups are the originals. Also it looks like he took really good care of it because you can see him play this guitar 10 years ago and it still looks great, considering the paint is nitro and there is no finish on the neck, it's quite astonishing.

Could someone tell me why it is a C major song and the Aminor pentatonic sounds great ? I thought if C was the main chord you need to use the C pentatonic ... Am i wrong ?
Because A minor is the relative minor key to C Major, and vice' versa, C major is the relative major key to A minor. There's a little more to it than that, but that's the basis of the thesis. In this case, an A minor pentatonic scale pattern is used to solo over a simple C major chord progression. Again, that's the basic idea here. Every major key has it's relative minor & vice versa. D Major's relative minor key is B minor, E major's related minor key is C# minor. . . Etc. But actually, in a sense, no, you r not wrong. Because the A minor pentatonic scale notes are A,C,D,E & G. And those notes are part of the C major scale/tonality. The same notes can be used in the key of A minor as well. In certain less frequent instances, a parallel pentatonic scale can be used, pending the songs harmonic activity. It's a loaded topic that can continue on & on. Hope that helps...

not sure if its a joke but one chord is 6 fingered.. maybe you got some deformations but i only have 5 fingers on my left hand, same on the right. but im guessing im reading it wrong?

Why does nobody play that lower octave note before the high note in the studio solo? It's there if you listen carefully. Dangit!

My initial plan was to tab all solo versions, but I though it would be to much haha :D I'll tab any other version if there is enough interest :)
No one ever seems to explain the two notes between F and C at the end of the chord progression.
In the future, if you are trying to show how to play a song maybe you can try including all the notes you're playing?
Those two notes don't really do anything in the progression and that's why no one explains them. It's just a simple way to switch from F chord to C chord where you add notes E and D in between. Also, I'm showing how to play the solos, so the progression is just an extra thing in the video
