Best version of this song ever!!!!!!!! A great band that never got recognized for there talent. Truly a shame. I liked them since day one. Glad I didn't miss out.
I grew up with him. Allan Fryer was my crazy Aussie neighbor across the street lol his daughter Kallan is my oldest friend. Really great people, God rest his soul..
had the privilege to see these guys at the "25 below " bar in Green Bay Wisconsin back in 88 .. Allan Fryer let me sit on the PA...he even gave me a bottle of Jack to drink.... 2 nights of shows and after bar parties... great man great singer..Sorry to hear of his passing. RIP BROTHER!
Saw them in concert on Long Island. They were worth every penny and more. I got to hang out with the band and get to know a little bit more about them because they did a meet and greet before the show at a record store. Heaven knocked it out of the ballpark with this rendition of knocking on heavens door
This most diffinetly the best version of this song....bar none!!! The power of the band, and the vocals are mind blowing!!! Wish we had this kind of metal again!
The band was amazing in this video, but let's not forget their production crew that put this clip together. Kudos especially go out to the chopper pilot and or pilots for their amazing flight skills.
This particular version brings back many memories as a child with the little time I got to spend with my father as a child from a divorced family. this song used to always be playing in the tape deck when he would pick me up in the school holidays.
I've watched this video at least once a week every since I found it here on youtube! Alan's voice has so much emotion imo and he has great control. I have all 3 Heaven albums on record, I really wish I could get them on cd so I could listen to them while I drive around and crank it as loud as my stereo will go, so the rest of the world could hear this amazing band! All hail Heaven!!! \m/
I was a fan the day the video came out had the record then was able to find it on cd so i keep it rocking this is an amazing song and a great version and video Heaven can rock with no doubt at all.Best Version of this song by FAR
Best Rendition ever of this song made famous by Dylan and the Guitar Solo at the 2 minute mark ROCKS!! Expertly Executed, Very Jimi Hendrix....Nice Tempo and sung the way it was meant to be sung, incredible compositional arrangement. RIP ALLAN FRYER,
That solo is amazing. This version made me hate GnR version. The only good thing about that version is Slash. As a singer, this version has more emotion and I love singing this one much more
This is by far my favorite version of this song. Its sad that this band was underappreciated. All songs on this album is great. They dont make music like this anymore unfortunately.
Show nuff.. reckon as this version from 'th'freakin 80's beats out 'th'originals..I wuzz 19 back then baby... I am now 56 yrs. Old now and I have the loss of old friends and loved ones!!
I am so glad everyone thinks this is the best version. I had this on a 4 cassette Metal compilation in the late 80's and remember air guitaring to this in my bedroom. This is the way this song was meant to be heard. Has a great impact!
Great Cover and the best version by far my favorite, I had the cassette, "wink of an eye" was another great song off it, too bad they didnt make it outta the 80's they were a good band!
I bet half the world has never even heard of this band but they have the best version yet....better than Dylan and Guns N Roses or any other group who 'tries' to even attempt it.
Yeah, this is the BEST cover of this song. . . . .Remember hearing these guys back in the early 80's and thought they would end up being a huge band........They had some success but never reached the heights I thought they would........
The first time I heard the song "Knockin' of Heaven's Door" it was by these guys. I ran out and bought the cassette that day. Later, in the 90's, I tried to find it on CD. It was never re-released. Thanks so much for posting!
Gotta love CZcams. I loved this video back when they actually played music on MTV... Head Banger's Ball. Thanks for posting this. What a great memory, video, and song.
Im A die hard rocker. Had'nt heard this song in years. Went through some old cassettes and wondered who did this version. Found it here on youtube. I feel like and old man! I loved this song. and I still do. With my white tennis shoes, black jeans and a 86 yamaha fz600 back in the day.
These guys done this song so cool. The best remake I've heard. Unlike G&R who butchered this song. God Bless you Heaven. Damn good work doing this song
We covered this exact version of this exact tune at the Area 51 talent show one year, back in the 80s... I spun my guitar around, lost my balance and knocked myself out cold. We still took third place...!
By far the best version! Have been years since I heard it for the first time, even before I knew there was Dylan's. Years also to find it and listen to it again, thanks for the video!
I really miss working with these guys. R.I.P. Allan. Bob Dylan gave Heaven the rights to this song so they did the video. This song brings back good memories of getting them kamikazes and going out on the stage and drinking one with them. I live above the bar and when they came to town Allan would always come up to my place and grab a beer out of my fridge and get the JD off the top of it and we'd sit in my living room drinking for awhile then down for sound check. They were all a great bunch of guys. I always looked forward to them coming. I could go on and on about some of the stuff we did but this is getting to long now. Allan. See you on the other side some day
This is by far the best version of this song ever!
I wore out 3 cassettes before I found the CD a few years ago.
LOVE IT!!!
Great CD as is their first CD
Yes it is absolutely the greatest version of this amazing tune! I loved this band, still do!

Agreed.
Best version ever.

The absolute best version of this song as a cover known to man. Done really well.
I bought this album in 1988. All songs are masterpiece. RIP Allan Fryer !!!

Bad azzzz... I haven't seen this video for nearly 30 years!!!
Best version by far. No question.
R.I.P. Allan Fryer :'(
I would've loved to see him in AC/DC. RIP Allan, the media ignoring your talent for all those decades is a crime.
This whole album was fantastic. Ive got it on vinyl and still spin it in the shed with a beer! Love to have an Mp3 version. R.I.P.
This most diffinetly the best version of this song....bar none!!! The power of the band, and the vocals are mind blowing!!! Wish we had this kind of metal again!
Awesome song and performed with such passion..!! Bravo..!!
The band was amazing in this video, but let's not forget their production crew that put this clip together. Kudos especially go out to the chopper pilot and or pilots for their amazing flight skills.
This has always been one of my favorite covers
This particular version brings back many memories as a child with the little time I got to spend with my father as a child from a divorced family. this song used to always be playing in the tape deck when he would pick me up in the school holidays.

Yes, the best!!!
Fuckin oath! Way better than GnR
ALWAYS thought that .Rock on.
G&R destroyed this song
This version blows. GNR lit this shit up. It's fun to pretend this group, Heaven, is relevant though, so I can see why you are doing it.
I've watched this video at least once a week every since I found it here on youtube!

solo preceded by the over the shoulder guitar sling, too cool
Love that solo! This version made me hate GnR's version. The only good thing about GnR version is Slash. This version has more emotion.
That solo is amazing. This version made me hate GnR version. The only good thing about that version is Slash. As a singer, this version has more emotion and I love singing this one much more
The best interpretation of "Knockin On Heaven's Door". Fabulous !!!!

I actually like Bob Dylan's original better but have liked this version since I first heard it years ago.
This is absolutely the most beautiful version of this song. I’ve played this version for 30 years with multiple singers and no one comes close.
This version is so magnificent! =]
Anyone who tries to make a remake of this song.

Indeed, the best version EVER!!!!
My Favorite Version of this Classic Song.
