Colby Covington (born February 22, 1988) is an American mixed martial artist. As of March 4, 2019 he is #2 in the official UFC welterweight rankings.
Covington was briefly linked to a title unification bout with the then champion Tyron Woodley on September 8, 2018 at UFC 228. However, Covington was unable to compete on that date due to recent nasal surgery. As a result, UFC officials turned their attention to arranging a bout between Woodley and Darren Till to fill the headlining spot. In turn, promotional officials indicated on July 24 that Covington would be stripped of the Interim UFC Welterweight Championship, once the bout between Woodley and Till took place.
Covington returned to face Robbie Lawler in the main event of UFC on ESPN 5 on August 3, 2019. He won the fight via unanimous decision. - Sport
Colby almost died a hero, so he lived long enough to see himself become a villain.

This guy explains mma stories and backgrounds so well and has the best voice for narration. Hope he gets enough views to keep going. Best mma content I’ve found. He should do a podcast or interviews too. I subscribed after one video and the proceeded to stay up all night going through this guys content. Better than 90% of mma analysts and explains each fighters story so well and includes all the drama that no other mma content creators piece together for the fans to get a full insight and understanding of the hype behind each fight.
