It's such a scary process, that even if you think you know how to do it, you really want to have it confirmed, and CZcams videos are the clearest, and most easy to follow, ways to do this

Thanks a ton for this. I couldn't find the directory after getting into the BIOS. Last pc I built was maybe 7 years ago and some things are a little different, but also the same.

Thank you very much!! Very straightforward and easy to follow. Been having issues with BSOD and it looks like a new update came out earlier this month

Did not work without renaming it for me. Could be dependent on the motherboard

I was on the phone with ASUS support and they told me I had to update every bios 1 at a time from where my bios was currently at am I able to skip to the top one or should I do each one till I get to the top bios update

I have exactly this motherboard. It doesn't have to be FAT32, or even a USB stick, I tried doing this with 3 USB sticks all formatted to FAT32 and none of them showed up in the BIOS tools. I even tried different USB ports, nothing worked. However, the BIOS tools did see all of my M.2 drives formatted with NTFS under Windows 11. So I copied the renamed file to the root of my C: drive and it worked fine from there.
    So:
    1. It doesn't have to FAT32.
    2. My motherboard didn't even see the USB stick.
    3. If the BIOS can open up your hard drive and read it, it will work.

do you know if it's safe to install ROG-MAXIMUS-XIII-HERO-ASUS-2203-1 ? I'm afraid to brick my board. Afraid if the power goes off.

That's really strange, because I am worried that my house will be struck by a giant asteroid half way through the update. Don't laugh. It could happen.

Update said confirmed but I never got any of the small white firmware text in the top left of the screen afterwards, my screen has just been completely black for about 30 minutes. Scared to reboot my pc, don’t wanna brick it.. About how long does it usually take to restart?
