One of the biggest influences of my childhood. Every song word for word and falling in love with the emotion chester put into his music. From spending literal years trying to find the song "numb" ever since i first heard it to growing up and now hearing about this. Hit too close to home.
rip Chester no one will ever come close to his artistic talent he was a true artist and it isn't fair that people criticize him for leaving. Also thanks Matt McGuire for this amazing and heartfelt video.

It hurts becuase Linkin Park was the whole reason me and my friends started our band when we were in middle school. It's so hard to let go and lay our idol to rest. Honestly I could never, no, I won't ever forget Chester and the inspiration he gave us to make music and the love and compassion I've come to express through it. I love you Chester, thank you so much Matt for this. It feels just like yesterday when me and my friends did a Linkin Park cover for our first song.

I was in boot camp when Chester passed, my instructor suprisingly was a fan of them and was nice enough to inform us of his passing and played the meteora album for us. It really ment alot.

Thank you for reuploading this.. I honestly don't have words to describe my thoughts about Chester, other than I lost one of my musical idols, and it makes me terribly sad that I will never hear him live.
I used to listen to Linkin Park, I then moved on to different styles of music, this was years ago and to hear what happened, it hit me like a brick wall, RIP....

I remember it very clearly, Somewhere I Belong was the first Linkin Park song I ever came in touch with. Meteora was my very first CD, bought with my pocket money. I felt their music so much, got their Hybrid Theory afterwards, and LP has accompanied me through my life ever since. I can't believe this journey is over. I'm so sad Chester lost his fight (or his will to fight).

probably nobody is going to read this but i just want to share how i feel about Chester's death, im a drummer, and im looking forward to bass and guitar, when i was 7 or 8 i started to enter to the music world, with wich band? you guess it. Linkin Park, this band, was my doors to the music world, i seriously dont know what kinda music i ended up listening if it wasnt for Linkin Park. A few months back they reached to my country (Argentina) in a tour, and for money issues i could not buy a ticket for the show, i feel so fucking terrible right now because they definitely arent my favorite band, but the most significative by far, now Chester has passed away and i've never been in a Linkin Park show.

My earliest childhood memories genuinely all contain Linkin Park, so when I found out about your passing it felt like a little slice of my childhood faded. I was in junior high when Linkin Park first came out, I was bullied as a kid during those year's :(..the only way i was able to find sanctuary was thru there music..teacher's back then didn't do a fucking thing. When he passed away I literally broke down in tears.. I think alot of his fans did too 💔 R.I.P Chester you'll always be a legend to me.

Hearing this brings me back to when I was in middle school at the local indoor skate park thinking I was Tony Hawk, The words Chester Sung gave me hope and power to push through all the struggles I had going on in my life. Many a time I thought no one would miss me and then I would hear a Link in Park song and I'd pick myself up and keep pushing on. I wish he could have known how many people cared for him and were there to support him like he supported us with his music. May he Rest in Peace and watch over all of us and help us in our times of need

As a a math-metal and old school punk/hardcore drummer I have to say what a great video this is. I've spent most if my life hating this band and everything they participated in musically but for some reason I find myself teary eyed the last few days. I never realized what an influence this band had on me. Great cover man. Great song. Great guy. I am genuinely saddened to see him go. RIP. Why is everything so heavy?
