If your spouse doesn’t want to change, and you feel unsafe, find a women’s or family shelter, or domestic violence institution in your area, begin getting counseling, they will help you create a safe plan, and see from there if there’s a possibility for you to move alone, with a relative or friend, or if you have financial issues in the last resort going to the family shelter temporarily, then they’ll give you an apartment to live in until you get in your feet. Yes, you have to protect yourself. The wise person sees evil and hides. Don’t allow religious guilt trip to keep you in bondage in a destructive marriage, give yourself permission to leave, get counseling, heal, be free and start a new life.

If you have to ask then perhaps that means yes. If you feel unsafe by all means leave. Hopefully, He may be willing to go to Marriage Counseling with you. Kind Regards and Best of Luck.
