To put it in very simple terms, as Alistair Begg once said...being Reformed means you take your Bible, read it, believe it, and then you are Reformed.

These are pompous men with incoherent views that cannot be reconciled with scripture on one hand praising the reform of false teaching and reliance on tradition of the 15th century Catholic Church only to replace it with reliance on Reformation traditions and incoherent philosophy…
God wants all to be saved but causes many, maybe most to be damned!
God reveals his truth in scripture alone …but no one can understand unless God first converts them to Christ…but why do we have so much written to encourage men to believe if that is impossible.

It means to adhere to apostolic doctrine as the reformers pointed out which was needed due to the false teaching of the Roman Catholic Church. So it’s not a new system it’s what was before them there Roman Catholics got there grubby evil paws on Gods word. ✊ ✊ It instead holds to the authority of Scripture, the sovereignty of God, salvation by grace through Christ, and the necessity of evangelism
"Reformed"? Back the beginning of the Church. Original meaning. Original text as carefully translated to our present language. If any of you remember the late Rev. Edwin Elliott, Sr. And Rev. Elliott, Jr. of the Reformed Presbyterian Church in Manassas, Virginia, one of the six that founded the Delmarva Presbytery of the new denomination of the Presbyterian Church in America, I think 1973?, They brought me along to the Reformed Presbyterian Faith.

Every time I hear an appeal to mystery by Reformers due to explanations that only make sense for a handful of scriptures but are incoherent when the full scriptural data are examined seems absurd😮

This description of what it means to be “reformed” is not helpful. In its simplest form, they say it is to “believe the Bible” but other Protestants that had their origins based in the Reformation also believe the Bible in defining their theology. The Bible does not define “election” or “sovereignty” in the way that Calvin or others define it. Unfortunately, these terms have been hijacked by Calvinists and have been so narrowed that other verses in Scripture do not make sense in any reasonable way.
With that said, this video is fairly typical in not being able to succinctly define what it means to be reformed with any distinction from Calvinism.
