Happy Father's Day weekend!! This was so much fun to film
When I was younger, my mom went to work at four in the morning so my dad was the one who got me dressed and took me to daycare. In the afternoon, my mom would pick me up and notice how nicely my hair was done and she always wondered how my dad managed my curly hair. Turned out that he was so horrible with my hair that the lady at my daycare felt bad every time I came to "class" and she would spend thirty minutes detangling and styling my hair! I honestly think that is so funny, but as I got older, he could actually do a couple of twist and a bun.

Brianna Italia OMG my kindergarten teacher use to braid my hair before class ( My dad had to drop me off 30 minutes early) because she use to feel bad. 😂
lmao, same thing happened with me and my sisters when my mom had to leave earlier then him and he couldn't do hair at all! so we would go to the back one by one and get our hair washed, detangled and done lol

I'm a teacher now and I do hair. But I always call and ask first. Most of the time people are more than happy to let me do their kids hair. I've had to learn how to do it but it's been worthwhile.

my dad never did my hair. BUT. my dad would cut my brother's hair and always, always managed to cut a low key bald spot into the middle of his head. he wasn't coming anywhere near me with those hands.

As someone who lost my amazing dad recently. This video was fun to watch. I love to watch other father-daughter relationships. Its beautiful.
When my dad did my hair as a child, he would brush my edges into all my old braids and put barrettes at the ends that never matched my outfits. It was horrendous!! But I loved the time together. RIP dad. Thanks Naturally Curly!! xo

My dad used to do my hair often when I was young. He hooked me up with thee straightest of parts and knew how to braid too. He also trimmed my hair until I was in college! Thank God he is a perfectionist! lol He had me lookin right. :)

My dad once took me to one of my softball games and to put my hair up he grabbed a mardi gras bead necklace from his trunk, cut it, and literally just tried to tie it to my hair. That was the first and last time my dad ever did my hair 😂😂😂

My dad tried to help my mom out by cutting my braids out when I was little. He didn't know about trying to find where your real hair stopped and cutting below it. He ended up just cutting it anyhow so when the braids were removed, I had strands of varying length.

Nope. My mom travelled and when she came back he had shaved my sisters' and I's curls off. Said it was easier and we looked hot (it was summer). But we were young (all under 6) so we weren't bothered. But in fairness to my dad he's always loved short hair in it's natural state...
And years the later I would repeat the same look when I did my big chop anyways 😊

My dad didn't touch my hair with a 10 ft pole. LOL! He left me alone when mom was at work on this cottonball. Until he saw the tears ( #teamtenderheaded #teamtonsofhair ) and asked what's wrong? Buahahaha yeah, the crying commenced and my mom yelled at him.
The one time my hair needed to be done while my mom was on a business trip, he called my (much older) cousins. They didn't take heed to my warning and put rubber bands in my hair. We won't talk about the verbal beat down they took from my mom. LOL!
"Use a staple...?" 😹that reminded me so much of my dad. Lucky for me, my mom was a hairdresser. She did tight braids to keep my thick wavy hair under control. My dad did, however, make valiant efforts at dressing me. It usually ended in a mound of ruffles and mixed patterns. This video was so cute.

my dad did my hair once. he was supposed to be greasing my scalp but he used hardening gel. my mom was mad lol it had to be washed and styled all over again.
My dad tried to do a half up half down style on my head with lotion the half up literally stuck up straight up and the down stuck out... never again

when I was younger (pre-relaxer), my mother had an emergency and had to leave before she got to do my hair. that left me with my father, my brother, and messy hair. with the threat of mass dismemberment looming (my mom would kill us all if I walked over to school with an undone head of 4c hair), my father stepped up to bat. let's just say be had absolutely no idea what to do. to this day, however, I a. still impressed with my older brother (6 years older) and his skills (he had never done them before, on himself and on other people). it wasn't my mommas level of skill, but I sure was proud of not looking ratchet.
after that day, my dad's practiced doing 2-strand twists etc. to make up for that day haha love my pa

Great job Dad's!!! Yes my Dad did my hair along with my lil sister's hair. He had a barber chair in his room, he did he best he would comb, brush, & plait our hair. He was very gentle and took his time but our ponytails would be nice & neat.

My dad died 9 years ago June 16, 2008- he was 54. I fondly remember him doing my hair as a young girl. This is a great reminder of the bond between fathers and their daughters. Great Job Dads!
