@@YourFavoriteCyclist thanks, but no, that is not it. I've done all that, check out my channel. On my last video I do a review on a Schwinn Copeland that has a fork like your mongoose (treaded). I would like to convert it to threadless, like the whole fork swap, but it comes with a 1" fork, I have not been able to find a headset adapter for a 1 to 1-1/8, you know what I mean?
Ah that I do not know how to do. You may be able to get away with swapping the headsets out on the actual frame, however you might run into the head tube itself being too small for the larger diameter fork steerer tube
What’s the best way to disassemble? Do you use pliers to grab the flat threaded nut on top below the top nut? I have a kids bike
Cool man, have you figured out how to install a 1-1/8 fork?
Actually had a video on that come out this past week! czcams.com/video/ceCuez9zMK8/video.html

what is your tip so it won't keep loosening every after ride?
A drop of blue locktite should keep it nice and secure.
What is the size of the bearing sir
Best bet is to pull your bearings out and measure them yourself, they could be multiple sizes.
