Tom truly likes NYC, Tom will not do that unless he really has to. But I get you, I kind of suspected AK bc of some comments he said months ago, I thought he was looking down at ppl. But blessings to AK, you and everyone.
Agree, Lucie's video was 🔥 Tom is just awesome, so much content just so natural.
@@sr-xv4hi
Interesting comment about AK looking down at people.
@@Leonardo-1 AK is not a bad person but it bothered me what he said like 3 months ago about homeless ppl then when I saw all those recent videos on why he left NYC etc..., I knew already his real sentiment. It is all good though wish him well & the best since he had so many videos of NYC.
@@sr-xv4hi It has become more dangerous in NYC.

A nice place.... On my bucket list places to visit
@tomdnyc...oh rewatched documentary on NY, I had recorded on sky back in 2013... But tech changes new box WiFi but found again on utube just sent over to TV so interesting, I remember the crazy fire in factory early 1900's, horrific scene, think was clothing or seamstress factory! Moses that highway system would never have worked, destroy it all
Getting too big, for his shoes, too say the least
Gangs of NY on Netflix👌 so strange was watching doc about that too, then asked my son to pass remote, it's on there so maybe watching tonight
Moses... He couldn't stop with ideas

History, love it! Imagining my self having a sight seeing and walk tour around in it quite, clean and Rich City only in this content I could dream and imagine.
This was awesome! I feel like I went on vacation to Panama 🇵🇦, myself 😁.
Great video! Concise, precise, and entertaining (you are a funny guy, and poor Lucy has to put up with you 🤣). Quick history class not taught in schools. Good job!
Hi Tom and Lucy, congrats on the awesome job, but as a Panamanian, I would like to highlight that Mr. Vasco Nuñez de Balboa was the first EUROPEAN to see the Pacific Ocean, not the first human.
He used various reports given by Indian chiefs, and He was actually helped by them on his journey, after defeating them in battle and killing natives for reasons we don't tolerate today, like finding cacique Torecha's brother dressed "in a woman's costume" surrounded by other notables, and the Spaniards interpreted the scene as a "homosexual harem" and executed all throwing them to the dogs!!
So the ocean was not a myth to the native people, they knew it had always been there as it was their land they took.
The ocean was a myth to the Spaniards and the rest of Europe, but as usual, they write the history to suit their huge egos and best interests.
Keep up the great work!
You tell a great story sir.
What borough is Panama in?
Is this gonna be part of Tom's Central America Tour series ... Costra Rica, Nicaragua, Hondorus, El Salvador, Guatemala, Belize, Mexico, California, Astoria?
The independence of Gran Colombia was also facilitated by the Haitians. The Ecuadorian flag was actually designed in the Haitian town of Jacqmel. Great video!
How, sorry I really would like to know
It's true after Haiti got it'd independence they went on to help fund and help other Latin Americans to become free which includes Venezuela 🇻🇪 Colombia 🇨🇴 Ecuador 🇪🇨 which is why the flags pays homage to Haitian flag with red and blue
happy to know you liked your trip in my country:)
My great great grandfather fought in the 100 day war against Colombia . My father and ten other soldiers were killed trying to overthrow Noriega in 1989 in the Masacre de AlBrook . I remember the area of casco viejo when it was run down and to see it now this developed is amazing .
Because you're only 27, Tom, you probably don't remember, but I remember that Manuel Noriega fiasco vividly. It was the first time in my life I became aware of international affairs.
I do too!
Love your shirt wardrobe changes
LOVE THE VIDEO'S !! KEEP THEM COMING !! NETFLIX / HULU BOUND !!!
Te doy un like..la verdad que me encantó como narras la historia de Panamá..hoy aprendí..lo que que no aprendí en la escuela...ha,ha,ha .. gracias... compartido

I love tour channel i just watch it to know the real history of places especially United States you inspire me to learn more and the actual facts
No mention of the 1964 riots, which led to the United States giving the Canal Zone to Panama?
I just got back from Panama today. Wish I had seen this video before I went.
Hey tom estas en mi pais bendicioned
Yay!! My mom is from here!!
the history of my country is so crazy and interesting dont know why theres no Netflix series about it😂
Tienes que hacer un videos..de todas las islas..:)
This camera, has better colors and is more pleasant than the black magic you are recently using in New York.
Just to add the often forgotten. Afro-Panamanians originated from countries throughout the West Indies as they migrated to work building the Panama canal as the European and Indigenous workforce struggled and declined due to disease. Afro-Caribbeans were a huge part of the construction of the Panama Canal.
Afro Caribbean people worked in the canal zone for decades without being assimilate into the Spanish culture of Panama. Many never even learned to speak Spanish. Eventually many jobs were removed and from the canal zone and Afro-Caribbeans who had serviced and lived in the US canal zone were forced to move into Panamana territory and assimilate into the Spanish Panamanian culture and faced much racism doing so.
Im panamanian and this means alot 2 me🖤🖤🖤
Infer'mo! I vaguely remember hearing about battles in Panama by the U.S. - Thanks for the story. Crazy stuff (loco en la cabasa).
Hey I (know)🕊🌴 those Pigeons..*(I)... never knew they flew to Panama for the Winter ❄❄
Here may happen some sick stuff, yeah but I feel Panama is the best and safest spot right now compared to any state in America or Europe.
Panamanians like myself having been born at Santo Tomas Hospital in PC would not appreciate calling any of those English pirates as SIR! LOL
I'm enjoying the tour. I thought it called for some Flan:-) It makes it extra delectable:-)
PS I loved the sounds of the exotic birds, and Panama City has a nice skyline. The history is interesting too. What kind of birds are they? They sound like they could be talkers and they are the size of chickens. Buzzards? lol I have a friend who took a nine month van trip into South America and she ended up detained in Panama longer than she wanted based on her travel companions insufficient documentation. It was quite the fiasco but it eventually worked itself out:-)
That's a proper beach
Ages ago, Panamanian officers would get sent to the military academy in Chile.
Would you go to Ft Davis on Atlantic side?
Tim,Did you ever gone down to the Darien Jungle. Where is the Equivalent of the American Airline Stadium,The Marlin Stadium and The Bayside market of Panama City. Where is the Celebrities live in Panama?☀️💥
Hello muy Panamá
For the algorithm
It’s ok the Colombians had the General Insurance
Panama Libre y soberana!
Vivo en Panamá 💪😋
Hey. If it can cost up to a million dollars a ship, to go through the canal, are the Panamanians wealthy people, as citizens? Or is that money going to the USA? Just wondering.
It's the richest country in Latin America based on gross domestic product per capita. Right up there with some European countries.
no, the USA no longer holds sovereignity over the Canal, the Canal is now fully owned by Panama, after a conflict with USA boiled over in the mid 1960s which concluded with the Torrijos-Carter Treaty being signed in 1977, in which USA agreed to return the strip of land that it had held until then in perpetuity, along with the Canal to Panama on 31 December 1999. In 2016 we finished expanding the Canal and built a 2nd set of locks (wider in size so it would allow neopanamax vessels to cross over). The prizes are also dependent on the value of cargo, and size of the vessel. So it can range anything between $800 for boats under 50ft, up to $1.2 million (i think the highest record to date) for a large vessel (merchant or cruise).
No, not all Panamanians are wealthy people, according to the UN Panama actually has one of the most unequal income distribution rates compared to other Latam countries, despite our Country's GDP per capita being also one of the highest in Latin America, with the Canal contributing about 10% of our GDP.
@@litagoti Agreed, although other Latam countries are less unequal because poverty is more generalized. For example, Nicaragua is less unequal than Panama because everybody is equally poor.
@@guillermogouldburn763 yeah, I definitely agree with you, compared to other latam countries we really need to feel blessed, because even though there is extreme poverty here like in any other country, we have been in a positive trend for over the last decade making poverty and unemployment numbers go down.
DonnaLynn ....
The money collected for the pasage of ships through the canal does not go to the USA, instead much of that money goes in the pockets of the politicians and functionaries administrating the canal. They are the rich ones.
ONE LOVE !
