I love this video Abi. I have a my lock older than the one you demonstrated on. Hubby knocked it off my sewing desk, he has replaced now. I just want to get in there and see what is broken. I love the satisfaction of cleaning before and after on all my machines. Another great tutorial. Thank you. Val❤️🇨🇦🇬🇧

Your videos are so helpful. Always pick up a tidbit or two of knowledge
which can be used, even if mine is not the same machine. Thank you!

That poor machine, I love my Janome, I clean mine after i use it with a tiny computer keyboard vacuumse and a small soft paintbrush . My dad brought it for my 36th birthday and i cherish it as he passed the next year , It’s now 22 years old ,runs like a dream and looks like the day it received it 🥰 ive never had it serviced , i change the needles every 4 months. and oil when needed.

Odette, that's as much a service as any typical mechanic would do - it sounds like you've been a good owner! I'm so sorry to read that you've lost your dad, these little things they leave behind (memories of the good days) deserve to be cherished x

I have this exact machine and almost threw it out the window today because of that lower looper. My machine is super clean inside though, because it’s such a pain to thread and I can never get the tensions to balance. Love your videos Abi! Please make more about this model Janome.

🙁 it’s gone back home but I have made a video showing how to thread it up. I repaired another one a couple of weeks ago. Also , it’s exactly the same inside as the naked Overlocker. Janome machines are are the same inside, they just look different in the outside

I dug back in last night determined to get it threaded. Taking off the foot and needle plate made it much easier to thread the lower looper. I’ll look at the suggested video next. Thank you, Abi!

Please i want to know if this machine can do normal sewing or its just a serger. Thanks

This is just a serger. Some servers can sew two thread chain stitch but not this one.

If you can find where the noise is, then that is a great start to help understand what needs fixing
