- Its time we durability test the new Black Shark 5 Pro! Get a 4-week trial, free postage, and a digital scale at www.Stamps.com/jerryrig. Thanks to Stamps.com for sponsoring the video! Gaming phones are some of my favorite devices. But I feel like this Black Shark 5 Pro is a gaming phone in stealth mode. Without RGB's to announce your gaming presence - are you really even a gamer? Today we find out if the magnetic pop up buttons on the black shark 5 pro effect its structural integrity. We'll also test out the 120w fast charger to see if it can really charge the phone in 15 minutes.

The battery bypass when plugged in should be standard on all phones!
Tell that to Apple. They can't rip you off
@@gandalfwiz20007 all phone companies
Nobody cares about this feature expect for gamers
Your phone still get hot , and battery hates hot
@@Thirsty_fox99 as a contractor, who does not game, I would love this feature. I may have a 2 hour drive and I want
To get to a job site with a full battery. During the drive, I often have navigation running.
Battery bypass should be expected out of all brands. Once it is charged it should bypass right away while plugged in.
@@ballsack4581 Having and keeping your battery at 100% is the hardest factor of degradation for any battery, only charging it and then using the plug saves a lot of stress on the battery.
@@Ayoke they wont do that they want consumers to keep buying
SAMSUNG does that
@@mredizon00 CONSUMERISM AT ITS BEST
All phones bypass the battery when they reach 💯 ,this phone bypass the battery when plugged in while you use it,it doesn't matter if it's charged or not
" i just think all gaming phones should be lit up brighter than a Christmas tree " 🤣🤣
agree even if i will never buy them anyway 😂
When I read "gets hot in more ways than one" I thought the battery would catch on fire during the teardown 😅
it still might, looking forward to the teardown!
In constant search for more and more powerful hardware, Android phones have reached point where new processors make a lot of heat, drain battery, cost more, but can do all tasks that last generation or even one before it could handle without a problem. 99 percent of users, even heavy ones, without benchmark tests, couldn't even notice the difference between them in day to day usage. I wish companies gave more attention to software polishing.
And features. Like a full, unmutilated screen. A headphone jack. And an SD card reader. I'm tired of all these non expandable, non full screen, dongle pieces of trash.
@@mjc0961 I think headphone jack and expandable storage won't come back, at least on flagship devices. Apple starts a trend, Samsung follows and after that all other companies. And it's a shame.
some do just be coming too rare a thing.
Things you can notice is how much storage everything takes up.
I switched from 6 year old phone 16Gb to 128Gb and I thought it would be overkill
But new cameras have improved so much that photos and videos have massive size
Games too are also massive because of improved processors.
Not to mention the Android OS itself takes so much space...
I somehow have 50% storage left
They dont need better hardware, they need better software.
You’d think the stock wallpapers would be game focused… I guess not 😆!
How do you decide what phones to do? Like for example Sony. They make nice “pro” type phones that I’d really like to see taken apart or understand a little about them.
i guess depends on popularity.. Usually lot of people doesn't even know much about latest sony phones.
@@sravan6492 still waiting for duraforce pro 2 teardown
The thing about Sony, and I am speaking as a fan, is that they have less then 0.5% of market share, so most people simply don't care about them.
@@CrazyPlayer-pf2hv he literally did a teardown of the duraforce pro 2 three years ago lol
Ye. Same for rog 6
Love your videos man!
Very nice keep up the great work 👍
Geniune review hats off bro 👍👍👍
I was so waiting for this! Thanks Jerry!!!
My cat "Mittens" (called him Mitts) just passed away about 4 months ago. He was a black and white long hair (didn't look anything like Black Shark 5 Mittens). I called him that because of Ralph Wiggum (obviously) but he had thumbs so his front paws actually looked like Mittens. He was an outdoor cat (hunter) for 15 years. He was his own cat. I just helped him out once and a while and kept him in during storms (even though he still wanted out). I miss him greatly.
Cats are great personalities, love them with all my heart
@@beverpix yea me too. 😸
What does that have to do with the video though...

Hey Zack, what about ROG Phone 6? I want to see if they made it stronger, it still has double batteries on the same place so maybe it will break again?
I was gonna ask if he's doing anymore Asus phones, maybe the zenfone 8 too?
Yeah, I hope Zack does the rog phone 6 pro. Many people would want to know about its durability and it's inside.
Lol, 6:24 " to avoid falling damage". They expect the phone to be dropped lol. What a ridiculous phone company. That is so dumb.
I have The ROG Phone 3 and its a beast of a phone and didnt snap like the ROG Phone 5 so i would love to see how well the 6 is durability wise!
They moved antennae, camer bump, sim card, speaker, buttons
Cool teardown clips Jerry. Greeting from Bulgaria! Big fan! Question ... when will you upload next video from electric humvee project? I follow it with interest and cant wait. Thank you :)
Was about to ask that
Great video lad keep up with the good work
I swear I love these reviews
I think the best part of the phone is the massive charger, the battery bypass is a great feature I would like to see on others
Many creators of my country use your durability test as benchmark
Love your work
Zack: click-click-click-click-click-click-click-click-click-click-click-click-click-click-click-click :)
The 15 minutes is for a 240V outlet, I assume Jerry is using a 120V outlet (USA) so 18 minutes sounds about right
I like it how he keeps mentioning the teardowns, when they are gone since months.
Loved how you didn't burn the kitty on the screen, rather above it. I would probably felt uncomfortable even tho it's just a picture :D
Still waiting for the teardown HAHA love your videos man :)
Bro i love your videos very intresting
Still waiting for Black Razor Knife 🥺

@JerryRigEverything Hi Jerry ! I was curious about durability of Laptop Hinges . Is there a way that we could standardize or measure the durability of different laptop hinges so that end customers like us could make a more informed choice . Because Hinges and Battery is something that is commonly broken or damaged very fast. If you could make any video on it it would be of great help. Thank you ! =)
How about also taking apart one of those 120W chargers 🤔
Could be interesting
Also stupidly dangerous…
@@ARXInfinite what is dangerous about a charging brick?
@@bestGaming132 like any power supply they have large capacitors that store electricity. No different than a Power supply found say in a Xbox one or Series X. You touch the inside of a PSU YOU WILL DIE. power bricks are sealed. So you will have to break it to open it. You can’t drain the capacitors like with a Normal Power supply at least to my knowledge. And it’s still dangerous no matter what.
@@ARXInfinite I didn't know they store power if not plugged in a power outlet
@@bestGaming132 they always store power. They can for months if not years. Opening a PSU Is super dangerous and if you don’t know what your doing or don’t drain the power you will die

So glad it passed Zack's Durability Test. 😁

hows the battery life? does it drain fast?
@@jenchi1832 it drains abjt faster then normal phones, but it actually charges in 15 minutes
I feel like Jerry is the type of person who doesn’t get mad and doesn’t yell he just goes out back and chops wood like my old man… which was absolutely terrifying as a child… when dad was in the backyard we stayed the hell away from him.
It saddens me to watch these brand new phones get a work over, but l do love the destruction Jerry put them through its so satisfying.
The way he is so calm with his speech is heartwarming 💌
That kitten wallpaper brought instant smile to my face.
The phone is fire and the test was great but I’m just sad there is no art class with jerry. :)
Lol, the guy talking in a calm manner while doing some terrifying things on the phone.
Good build quality 👌
I could listen to you narrate literally anything.
hello sir jerry,
I am a big fan and watching every phone teardown in your facebook vids, to see which phone suits me most. i bought a black shark 5 pro. i hope you can do a teardown on this unit so i could study and preferably repair my phone in the near future. thank you
The phone lost 13 percent of battery on 21 minutes basically doing nothing.
Blackshark definitely needs some optimization.
Fuck that bad soc no matter how good is the optimization, that shit just freakingly bad

Wait, his name is Jack? I thought it was Jerry, as the channel says...
Happy birthday jerry
I have enabled the bell icon just for this channel on youtube and everytime theres a notification I get excited to see the completed Hummer project, but sadly its always just another phone video, we want the grand finale of The Whisper Project pleasse....
Please jerry make a video on vivo x80 pro durability test
Please sir please 🙏🏻
ROG phone 6 next? Looking forward to that!
It would be nice to see jerry try those buttons for 1 million times in my opinion
I like your sense of humor
He conquers with his blade and courage

For me, JerryRigEverything's durability tests are real
Good job!
Hey jerry try the new gaming phone lenovo released the Legion Y90 it'd be interesting seeing how its predecessor(legion duel 2) snapped so easily
Agreed that definitely is the best wallpaper
the humour in this is something else🙌

He doesn't really review or test non flagship phones. So the Samsung A series is out.

Thanks mate
Me too felt a little bad you scratched the phone with kitten wallpaper on lol
Thanks for the video.
Waiting for the Ryobi green knife.
Poco F3 GT has similar triggers like these.
"Personally I just think that all gaming phones should be lit up brighter than a Christmas tree" got me laughing to tears.
@DANIEL CHUKWUKERE disagree, but that was so random lol like where did that come from
Nice one mittens!
thanks Jerry
I really enjoy my clear handled jerryrig knife. It’s my daily driver at work now.
I do love those triggers. That would be great for some games but when you still have all touch controls so a controller is needed
U dum dum
took almost 2 months to get my shipment...but hey its jerry...always worth the wait
The only CZcams channel where and when I watched the sponsorship content.
I love the little trigger buttons but i see that becoming a problem with no case on it sliding it into your pockets and hitting the release buttons. I bet with a case on it there would be no problem which usually everyone i know has and uses a case.
I hate using phone cases lol, I have a s21 ultra 5g, no case lol, I know it stupid but I just can't stand cases
I own the black shark 4 pro which is designed pretty much like this one and it never hit the release buttons either in my pockets or in my bag even before i had a case
@@johndoe4034 I don't get why you or anyone would hate cases imo, I would think phones are a lot more comfortable to use with a case, especially if it has curved sides and thin bezels where you have to hold the phone awkward to avoid touching the screen on accident
It scratches at level 6 with deeper grooves at level 7
It never gets old 😂
It just did
here waiting for the electric humv episode 😁

The S22U is 100% worth it. Good luck getting it!
@@darthabhinav yes, extremely hot
Could You do more "budget phones" and not only the flagships?
GREAT jerry 😊
Zack forget to said "Glass is glass and glass can breaks" 😭
I've been watching this channel since day one, and it still hurts my soul seeing these poor phones frames scratched up
I love watching things I can't afford.
Jack, you should create an automated mechanism that presses that trigger button on the phone everytime someone creates a "view" on this video, or when someone "likes" this video. That could be a fun exercise. See if it gets Million hits all crowd-sourced.
That triggers sound is satisfying
i feel want to cry when he start to scratch the phone 🥲
I think there was nothing wrong with the old sim card ejectors. They were entirely metal and were proven to be hassle free recycling process without all that plastic/silicon handle that nothing phone's ejector has. DON'T FIX IT IF IT'S NOT BROKEN.
You should have turn it on and charge. Miui rom devices gets more hot when charged power off. So consider it. You will see lower temperature compared to what you felt
Hey Jerry! Do you ship your products to the Philippines?
Jerry Will you do a durability test on the Blu F91?
Video starts 1:57
Thansk bro
i have the ASUS ROG 5 ultimate... what a beast... torturing it every day and still runs like brand new
Put the phone in your back pocket. Then sit on it and let us know if it survives.
why i would do that?
I just laugh at his sarcasm more than 10 times 😂😂
Two questions. What happens if u burn the fingerprint scanner (both physical and optical under screen ones)? Do they till work?
Also, what do you do with all of these phones? Do u give them away?
Hi Zack, the 256GB model of Black Shark 5 Pro uses a combination of 128GB UFS 3.1+ 128GB NVMe SSD. We would love to see you tear apart the inside of the BS5 Pro to see that amazing tech!
Is that only available on the Pro model?
I too scratch every button on my phone with a sharp metal object and hold it to a open flame every now and then. These reviews are very helpful
Now that's how you nail the Circle Game 4:57😂I'll remind you whenever (if ever) we meet Zack. :highfive:
"Mittens" 😂😂😂
Intrigued to see what the other wallpapers are if that was the best one
Well, bad things about strong/durable phone is in its OS, where many vendors tend not to upgrading them after a new series of phone introduced. so the OS became obsolete and laggy AF.
Waiting for your Rog 6 pro review 🔥
8:05 the cat is literally scared of the flames from Jerry's lighter
