It never made any sense to me - it came out in 1996 and described "30 years of hurt" but 1996 was 30 years after England WON the World Cup in 1966 - that's not 30 years of hurt is it? It's 4 years of joy at first in being the world champions, it wasn't until they lost the world cup in 1970 that the hurt started, surely? 😄I'm right but no one ever gets it.

Maybe that's because I was born in Ireland and came to Canada when I was a young lad and most of the oldtimers league players were originally from Europe or South America. I get your point though. Where are you from? The popularity of soccer (football) in North America has become immense among men, not just women.
