Mehraz was an amazing person. A true friend to everybody in that small Automotive strip. I've known you since I was 16 years old - Nelson, and I've known him the same amount of time. You all have taught me everything I know about cars. And I know this Lexus, I remember it in the shop before he passed away. This really got me emotional the fact that you built this for him. And finished it off, thank you brother. You did an epic job and did him proud. I'd love to come and see you and say hi one day. I can't thank you enough

Awesome setup! I have a '99 GS400 myself and have been looking for a turbo kit for mine. Unfortunately, I don't think anyone actually makes a turbo kit for the GS400. I don't want anything this radical, just something that'll bring it up to around 450-500hp. But would definitely loved to have seen a pull on this video! That GS is NASTY!!!! :)

The price tag is something I want to know badly myself.
@John Ryder to my knowledge the 1uz engine is on borrowed time on stock internals at 650 horsepower with a twin turbo setup so I would imagine that it's definitely forged internals.
@@willybshreddn3794 maybe the newer gen 1uzs but first gen uzs can take more than 650. This one is vvti and therefore the weaker option so I'm sure the internals are built with that much power.

@@ariyankhan4337 yes man first gen engines are infamously stronger. Anybody with a boosted 1uz will tell you nobody boosts later engines without work.

The best part (IMHO) was the road test. I assume you were altering the fuel mapping to get the lean spots out. Pretty cool. I didn't know you were into that. But then again, there's a lot of things I don't know. :-)

Great Project. It is cool to see you be successful outside your wheelhouse with a 4L foreign car. Even though I prefer American Muscle cars, I would love to have this Lexus as a daily driver.

those engines haven't been tapped into because of the money it takes and the research it takes and Nelson's buddy rest in peace knew that and now the Nelson's Racing Engines has taken it over man he has no idea how much love is going to get in this world from doing that car
Me and buddy want something like this. On the sleeper status with our cars. 1990 Mercury Grand Marquis LS and 1983 Chrysler New Yorker Fifth Avenue. Not built to the max but, 500-600hp with 4 doors, 6 speed on the*custom column.* floating pass today's modern builds in lively comfort.
Nelson's Racing Engine you guys did an awesome job finishing that car for your buddy rest in peace your friend man no joke your body knew something that no one else knew did that engine the second generation 2uzfe was the solid one the generation after that the 3 uzfe they use smaller rods for efficiency and weight but they wouldn't be able to handle the Boost I own a GS 430 so I'll have to change the Pistons back to the main point though Nelson's racing engines you guys took over from your buddies work and realize what he knew that the power can be made from those Motors if you put the work into it and you will be as touching a market that has been yearning and I mean yearning for someone to take it to the level you took your buddies Car 2 that GS is my dream I am on my second GS personally I lost my first GS to circumstances I'd rather not talk about but I have a gs430 now it's my second one and I love these cars and I'm waiting for someone to have an after-market I don't personally need 900 horse I'd be happy with 6 but that adapter plate that you made you can make great money and all the things you've done if you have some type of kit I know I'd run to you and man that intake everything looks beautiful Nelson's Racing Engines is my hero this video is the best

I know the 1uz fe from 91 to 94 ls400 is over engineered with big rods and has been boosted especially in Australia, New Zealand. But in 95 to 2000 they went with lighter parts for efficiency.
you know it man that's exactly what they did they were engineered to have stronger rods in the four-point hole but they did lighten it up and they're smaller rods in the 3uzfe I have a 3 uzfe and man Nelson's Racing Engine you guys are my heroes man
