- Meet BUDDY, a grumpy little senior who started walking a little weird lately. He has quite the personality and social media presence, and travels with his band as a mascot. As his mom says, only 3 out of 4 of his legs work, so she brought him in to see the Animal Cracker!
Lets see what we can do!

The leading organization, in my opinion, that has Veterinarians and Chiropractors that become Animal Chiropractors is the Animal Veterinary Chiropractic Association (AVCA) They have a website with a "Find a Doctor" tab/database: www.animalchiropractic.org
This a good resource for all that are looking for a well trained doctor near them.

Poor Buddy that was so painful for him to go through, but he was walking much better and longer than before. Great job Doc!
Thanks Jana! He did walk much better!
It always touches my heart to see people caring for their senior pets as their health declines. It's not easy, or cheap, but you owe it to them after the years of companionship they give you. Kudo's to Buddy's parents
Thanks Pamela for your thoughtful words! Love hat.
Side glance, but accepts the treat. So glad he is starting to feeling better. Brave wee man!
Thanks Robin …I think I can’t blame him for that… poor old guy! Glad he chose to eat the treat.😅
I feel ya Buddy. It is hard getting old.
Amen to that!
Aye it's true. Feel better Buddy. It's fine to be a Grumpa sometimes. And tell those other pups to stay off your front lawn!
I feel sometimes that too in my bones! 😅
A 20 minute walk days later. WTG buddy! Thanks for all you do Doc!
You‘re more than welcome Boo.
Hang in there Buddy! You're doing well!
Thanks Joseph.😊
Wow, Buddy had some words for you. I've never heard so many bad words before 😂
I'm just kidding I've heard way more. I love when you get updates! A 20 minute walk 😲 what a great day for him. Buddy is so cute, maybe mom will bring him back so these last years are comfortable for him. Great job Dr Doug. Have a great week ☺️
Can you imagine B., an animal has bad words for me! How is that possible 😂
Awww, the sweet little thing. That certainly helped him. Poor thing having to go through that. Beautiful old boy Buddy
Thank you Wolfe!
Thank you Dr. Doug for all you do to help these animals. You are so kind, patient, and respectful.
Thank you sky! You‘re welcome.
So caring and yes patient. Where I live 🇨🇦 the only chiro that I know of who works on dogs and horses (as well as humans) doesnt take time for any bonding, just snap and crack. Great work Dr. Doug!
The oldies are so precious ❤
Aww 🙏🏻☺️ thanks Lori.
Groomer here! I can see such a difference! I have so many elderly dogs I groom that i wish i could help them with this. Thank you doc for the wonderful care of Buddy!❤
God Bless You Dr. Doug for taking care of sweet old Buddy! Elderly animals deserve just as much love, care and affection as any animal does, after all, don't we ALL eventually get old and our bodies start to breakdown? ♥🐶👏
Aww thank you so much Steven for the blessing and the thoughtful words. You‘re so right!
Buddy was pleased he could get some steps in and a good shake. He may appreciate you after all, Doc!
Bless buddy’s heart he is a hurtin dog.. hopefully Buddy can feel better soon..
good job Dr. W
Thanks Audra, we all hope he will get some more relief!
Poor baby! It broke my heart to hear him cruising much 💔 it must have been soooo needed. What a cutie.
Hi Jules, yes he needed that and he‘ll need more sessions if we want to keep improving. Thanks for sharing.🙏🏻
Thank you for following through, even us people might be reluctant, but getting him on the road to recovery is closer now!!
Wow! What a difference in him walking! I noticed he couldn't put his left hind leg down at all in the beginning but was using it really well on his walk! Good job Doc! I hope he gets a follow up! Old bones & muscles are painful to adjust 😫 but necessary for relief.
Thanks Kristen! He did much better after this session, we‘ll need More appointments.
Dr Willen, I can clearly see that Buddy’s right front leg is out, as well as he couldn’t touch with his face the right side when you moved his head. It was a great 👍 idea to muzzle him, otherwise he would’ve bit you cause he was in pain. Hi owner Gabrielle is so nice and funny, I hope she’ll bring him for more so he could improve. I already saw a difference in his walking and with Dr Doug’s awesome 👏 help, there’s always hope. Suffering through pain takes a toll on your overall, I know it from my ileum colitis and endometriosis pains experiences, which I go almost every day cause they flared up for two months and it isn’t fun at all. Thank you 🙏 for always being so nice and kind and helping everyone, have a nice 👍 week doc.
Thank you Emma, and again so sorry for your pain.
Poor little guy. Getting old is tough. But I'm glad he got a good treatment from Dr. Doug and is feeling better. He certainly felt spunky enough to give some serious side-eye and those "You're dead to me" looks. :)
Haha! Absolutely!
He is walking on that back left leg. Yea Buddy!!!
Hi Rachel! Thank you for your words.
I'm sure Buddy will feel better once he gets home, Doc. You did a lot for him in a short amount of time. I hope to see Buddy back. He obviously needs a bit more work done on him. Best Regards from your friend, the Retired Paramedic and Horse Trainer in Ontario, Canada, Jenn 💖 🇨🇦
Yes surely! He‘ll need some more appointment to ease his pain. Thanks Jenn, nice of you to say hello today!
@@AnimalCrackerDrDougWillen Always when I can, Doc!!
Oh sweet Buddy boy! You're absolutely adorable with your frosted face. You had so many aches and pain but Dr. Doug came to your rescue. I'm so happy you're feeling better and able to go on longer walks that you enjoy. Dr. Doug you're the best!! 💜🐶💜
Awww thank you for your sweet words Cynthia!
My heart goes out to Buddy, and the Doc.
I think we need more kind, caring doctors like this one. ❤
Awww little guy. 😢 thanks Doc for helping little buddy. I love seeing elderly dogs getting help. Always reminds me of my dogs when I was kid as they got older. We would have to help them walk around and go out and inside. 😢
Buddy soooo reminds me of my Rhys! God Bless you!🙏🏻❤️ Thx Dr. Doug for your wonderful hands!👍🏻
You‘re welcome Linda! That’s awesome!!
“You gotta get the job done sometimes“ Intense.
Fascinating work Doc. ❤
Such a cute dog. Never like seeing a dog hurt or in pain.
I feel so bad for him😢 have you tried adding CBD to his daily diet? The Asher House uses that to help their rescues - Dr. Doug really helped... Please bring him back to continue to make him as comfortable as possible. Thank you so much for sharing his adjustment... ❤
Thanks Roxx Anne I hope he will come back! Such a cute old dog.
Buddy had a lot to say about his treatment. But in the end I think he knew you were helping him. Nice pup!
I think he knew too! Animals feel and have a sense for that, they have a better feeling for their body than us human. Thanks Jeff.
When he screamed in the end that was so bad 😢
Poor guy was in a lot of pain, thanks for your magic doc!
Thanks for your words!
Poor Buddy. So much pain. But once again, Dr. Doug helped! Thank you!!
You’re welcome deette
What a sweet boy! Just wanting to get up and walk around town must have been thrilling for him after not being able to for so long. Dr. Doug does amazing work! Much love !!!!
Thanks Naomi for sending your love! What a joy for him to be able to go again for a walk.
You have the kindest heart, Doc! Thank you for choosing this as your profession. What a way to make a difference in this world! Much respect, Robin xo
Thank you so much Robin for your gratitude and compassion.🙏🏻😊
He seems to be moving around easier and more after the adjustments, always good to see. Much love to all.
Buddy was truly vocal about his condition wasn't he ?! Bless him ! Glad he felt a bit better afterwards . Lovely video .
He was much vocal! Poor little one! He was very brave and I think could enjoy his walk three days later. Thanks Elaine.
You did it buddy 🎉❤
Yes! What a good boy.
Great job Buddy and Doc. For a senior dog is fabulous. 😊
What a sweet dog! What a sweet owner! Thank goodness for his adjustment! 👍👏✨🙏❤
I agree with you! Both very sweet!
Buddy, I'm sure living the life of a rock star for so many years can take its toll on the body and the lumbarsacral junction. Just look at Keith Richard's and you're in way better shape than him. Im so proud of how brave you were and how you stayed strong during your adjustment! Just between us, I heard your expletives even through your muzzle. I hope that made it a bit less painful for you. Please thank your mama for sharing the video of your daily walks. You look like a new little man. ❤
Awww that‘s my favorite words for today, nice, loving, funny, with spirit and imagination thank you so much Linda🙏🏻👍🏼
@AnimalCrackerDrDougWillen Thank you for your kind words, Dr. Doug. 😊 I feel the same way about your vlogs and very grateful for you and your expertise.
Aww, Buddy. You’re a sweet old salt. Amazing that one treatment has him feeling so much better💕🙏🏻
Yes it did help a little! Thanks Amy.
Lol, he was mad at you.
Wow!!! Another fantastic adjustment on a sweet soul! Can’t wait to see - as you keep seeing him - where he gets to. Amazing Dr. D!!!
Awww thank you, he went mad because of the pain.
@@AnimalCrackerDrDougWillen I have a question. I cannot lay flat on the floor. I know there is a curve in my spine that is do to my posture. Is that something that can be adjusted? If I lay on a halved foam roller and stretch my arms and do that for 5 minutes then I’m able to take that out and lay flat. What are your thoughts. I do not have any thing like scoliosis, that I know of.
I‘m afraid it‘s difficult to give any constructive advices on the chat without seeing the patient and his issue personally! Sorry Akr
He's licking and chewing in that muzzle, so he's getting release. I'm glad you got his tail. I hope he feels better and it would be awesome if she could bring him back, poor boi.
Thanks Dr Doug. ❤
You’re welcome tanya
he may have been an angry boy during his adjustments but seeing that fight in a 16 year old dog shows hes got alot of living left to do =]
Absolutely! Thanks nic.
I love this lady. She sounds like me with my pets. She's so wonderful with her poor stiff puppy. Thanks Dr. Doug, another great video, good work.
Thank you so much for all you do for these animals, they deserve to live their lives with contentment and with many happy moments.
Hope everyone in the video and behind the camera are having wonderful year.
You are so kind, thank you!
Awww!!! What a darling puppy. I know his pain!!! Thank you with all my heart Dr. W.
Wow Buddy is deff walking a lot better than b4, His back left leg is not as sloppy. So happy for him.
I will consider every bark of this dog as WISDOM from now on !😂😂long live master Buddy !!😅😊🤣
A wonderful we. Such nice words! Thank you
Well I was ready to write a dialog between you Dr Willen and Buddy but when I saw him on the floor trying to stand on his tiny legs and after feeling better and giving his best to walk I simply couldn't do it... His body is 200 years old but he is feisty and his a fighter. You did it grate Doctor. Buddy looks ancient but he rises like a Phoenix ❤
He definitely is a fighter! Thanks V. for your words.
Thumps up 😊 Happy to this old fellow getting better
Buddy congrats on the adjustment. You hate the Doc the first day but will love them the next for the relief they give you ❤
Poor babypup 😢😢😢❤❤❤❤❤Precious, Adorable babypup ❤❤❤❤❤❤
Man Doc you really had him yelling and talking not so nice to you. 😂😂😂 Glad he is finally feeling better. He walks like I do with my hip and back😂😂😂. Great job Doc ❤❤
Thank you Tammie.
Thank you Tammie.
Thank you Tammie 👍🏼☺️
Such a brave terrier boy!
Thanks Debbie.

everyone going the extra mile, not wasted, totally gotten. thank you.
You‘re welcome
Great work Dr. Doug ♥ I know he feels better afterwards, even though he didn't like that at all 😅 I have also a senior too, he will be 16 too in a few days and he could be as grumpy as Buddy 💙 It's great that his owner brought him to you!
I‘m glad that Buddy‘s mom decided to come to me, buddy needed that. Yes I made him yelp, that’s not fun for me but the results are the pain worthy! Thanks MyFoxi for sharing.☺️🙏🏻
Buddy the dog is adorable and I hope he will get better soon and I know he and his mom will be grateful for your skill to help with Buddy's health 😊
So glad to see that The Bud Man is feeling a little better. What a cutie.

Happy for Buddy!! I can really relate to his condition... reminds me of my gradmom who has arthritis....ageing is tough for all ...
Love your work Dr. Doug, handle patients with respect and kindness ❤
Thanks Aegli! Yes getting old it’s not so easy for certain animals and humans. Poor grandma!
Awesome update on Buddy’s walk! Hope his follow up will help him more! Wonderful mom! I’m a fan of Buddy😀! Thanks, Doctor for all you do!
I‘m a fan of buddy too! I‘ll try my very best Charlotte, thank you.
Sorry you’re so sore and achy Buddy. The walks at the end were so nice to see & he can do more. When the Doc said can I have one too, there was a split second I pictured him eating the treat😂
New trainers😎
🤣 that would have been hysterical! You crack me up Vaga.😁 Sweet dreams Vaga have a great week
@@dellzywillis3001 Hi Dellzy, hope you’re well and enjoying the summer, night:)
Hahaha!
Buddy: treat from you? Nope! 😂 He came around though… Love senior dogs, they are like grumpy old men and women, until they get to know you!! ❤ Glad you could make Buddy feel better so he can rock on!!!
Haha, thats what he said!
OMG bring him back to Dr. Doug for daily treatment! He seems so much better!
Yes I hope so! Thanks boilingfrogs.
😢 this was hard to watch. Buddy you are a trooper ❤. I could see you working that camera. You gave us some excellent head shots. Buddy you really had Dr Doug jumping out of his seat 😂. I am very happy to see you getting to go on your favorite walks again. Rock on little Buddy rock on. Thanks Dr Doug for helping Buddy. ❤. Thanks Buddys mom for bringing him to Dr Doug ❤. Dr Doug I thought you were asking for a treat for yourself 😅.
I appreciate that Beth, and Buddy does too! He was such a pleasure to work with!
Doc you're truly a wonderful man !!!
This little grey old boy is cute as a puppie and he really deserves your help ,and of course you're here !!! 💪👍
Thank you so much for him ,and like as well bises for everyone 😘
Merci Mel! It‘s always a pinch into the deepest of my heart when I make them yelp, but I know it’s for the best. Glad he could go for a walk afterwards.
@@AnimalCrackerDrDougWillen you're totally right Doc !!! 👍💪🙏😘
Great job doc. Buddy will be feeling better soon.
Poor Buddy, he walks around like me with arthritis in my hips and knees. I know exactly how the pooch must feel. I'd probably scream and holler with adjustments, too. But, ya know what Doc? You still rock!
I must laugh on that one, but actually knowing you are in pain too is not funny at all! Thanks for sharing Jarmstrong.🙏🏻😊
Amazing what a beautiful dog. Your work is unbelievable
Thanks Paul for your nice words! 👍🏼🙏🏻
It was good to go through and get some of it done for him, I understand your compassionate ways. It was good to see the 3 day follow up vas well. You are truly the best. I hope buddy goes back to see you again.
Hope that too, Circle! Thanks for sharing.
Aww Buddy. He really went through it at his appt., but it looks like it helped him out a bit with his walking so maybe with more treatments in the future that will really help to put more pep in his step during his golden years. Bless him. ❤
Thanks for your blessing, he will need some more sessions, but I‘m already glad he could go for a real walk! Thanks Ivyc
Love the update!! Hope your feeling better and I'm starting to follow you :)
Awesome! Thank you for watching!
😅 Doug you’re hilarious as you are wonderful in what you do.
I hope to see an update on this guy. What a goof. Good doggo!
Go Buddy💥What a Trooper!!! Love the song, Hey from NZ❤
Hey NZ! Thanks for the greetings Moana!
Excellent job buddy I hope you’re doing OK❤
Hi Fransisco! He is doing better than before the session! 🙏🏻👍🏼
buddy was so awsome
My cat is named Buddy, so this really touched my heart in a special way although the Buddy in this video is a dog. Animals are such precious beings, and I commend this mama for caring for her baby boy even in his senior years. God bless you, Dr. Willen, for your care towards these animals. I have always found it so honorable that you chose to extend your chiropractic care beyond humans in also helping to treat our beloved pets. I truly think God values that, for you have a special gift that will bring much reward. Much love to you.
Awww thank you Alethea for this wonderful words full of love and compassion. So grateful for your support.🙏🏻
Dr. Doug
Aww I love him. Thanks Doc for helping Buddy. ❤❤
You’re welcome Rebecca! ☺️
Buddy was a wonderful patient - first class! But...Dr Doug's trainers are a close second!!
Thanks for sharing Elaine, appreciate it.
Loves to sweet Buddy and I hope he can come back for more adjustments. 🥰
Thanks Marie for sharing
Absolutely cracking work once again, Dr Doug. Buddy was very good considering his age bless him
Thanks for your blessing Q
My senior girl would have yelled just as much, but you clearly helped! Sometimes getting help is scary, but it's work worth doing ❤
I'm so glad you enjoyed this!
Vit E works wonders for dogs with arthritis. This poor baby you really made a difference.😊
Thanks Sue for your nice words and advice.
I’m so glad you went fast
That screech.😭 He was definitely barking some curse words.🤣
For sure!
Great job Dr D. Buddy you tried hard not to bite the Dr. What a sweet old soul. God bless you and your family 🙋🏻♀️♥️🇺🇸
Thank you Peggy I‘m always grateful for your lovely comments.
You made buddy soo mad he didnt even want your treat but he took it😊..
What a sweet old poochie
Yay what a good senior booy❤
Yes definitely! Thanks for sharing evgenymc!
Sweet thing. Hopefully he gets better soon
I'm happy for you Buddy even though the adjustments were so painful. 😊😊😊
I‘m happy for him too Sheila, and happy to read your comment too! ☺️ thank you👍🏼
No pain no gain. Good recovery !
👍🏼Thanks Henry!
Och, peur wee doggo! I'm happy to see that, despite his painful adjustment he experienced some relief. Good work, Dr. Doug! I certainly hope Buddy returns and we get to see more of his progress. It's not often one has the honor of treating rock royalty. That side eye he gave you was alleviated only by the presence of cookies. You might have to greet him with those the next time he visits or he's apt to decide on a whole lot of 'Hell No!' on you. 😄
Thanks amsterdamsel for your words!
