  • I am that guy who is a little goofy about keeping a clean gun. When we test, I need to know that the gun is perfect so I can determine the real performance of a particular load. I can’t blame a dirty gun! We keep our guns to near perfection and having a cleaning process is key to that. Hoppe’s 9 Foaming bore cleaner claims it is a one application, no scrubbing answer to all your barrel cleaning needs. Come along and see if that is true. For me it is not. I use it but for me it isn’t the answer to all my needs. Let me know your thoughts and subscribe to our channel to keep up withal that is going on with Mills Ammunition!
    Thanks,
    Adam

Maybe im a bad guy lol. I brush my barrels one or two pass thru with a bronze brush and cleaner. I hit it with the patch and done. That goes for all my rifles and pistols.

You need to use a bronze brush for the barrel. Not just the solvent.

I like their older version blue and silver bottle of the Outers gunslick foaming bore cleaner. The older version I would have deep blue dripping out of the barrel when the foam turned to liquid. The updated version of it now called Hoppe’s foaming bore cleaner is no where near as aggressive and has not removed any copper fouling.

Why didn't you use the Hoppes the same way, using the mop technique.

The Hoppes done did most of the work?

Nahhh, IMHO it is good to use first, Do the process a couple times and it will make cleaning easier but that is about that.

Yep, it do use a foaming bore cleaner first. It’s an easy way to get rid of the top layer of fouling quickly.
