Tbh the equation is at middle-school difficulty: aX + 5 = 25.
the linear equation is so easy, farfa just bad at math, 25 in grave minus 5 on field = 20, just pick the lever 4 or 5 and mltiply it by 4 or 5 so you get 20
I didn’t know this card existed, now I’m thinking of making a deck around it in master duel to mess with people who can’t do math

Small correction for Brain Control
It can only be used on monsters that *CAN* be Normal Summoned or Set
Duel logs even says "that way you can't use it on extra deck monsters which makes it useless." so he knew what he meant, but the answer was actually wrong

It's worth noting that for the Linear Equation Cannon, while there's only one correct answer on screen, there's technically two right answers
If you declare 5 and select the level 4, it's essentially the same as declaring 4 and selecting the level 5. Arguably that's the better result, because you mill one extra card and you shuffle back their entire field rather than leaving them with a card
I also thought it was weird that DL didn't specify which of the monsters were effect monsters. You probably just assume they all are in this case, but it would have been relevant information if, like you said, 4 and 5 were both available options for the answer.

I tried something similar to the last question in Master Duel, but with Kaijus. If you have a kaiju and comic hand your opponent's kaiju, it swaps to your side of the field and gets destroyed
It should go to grave not be destroyed, right? "You can only control 1 "Kaiju" monster" doesn't say it destroys.
@@movelea I believe the animation I received was the destruction one rather than the send one. I was hoping that it'd let me choose to send my non-toon kaiju rather than the toon one so I could attack directly
You can actually have multiple kaijus you just need skill drain on the field and a steal like comic hand, owners seal, or my fav graydles
This is a different situation since BA "destroys itself" while Kaiju "you can only control one." I'm surprised it allows you to activate comic hand there tbh.

I do think you should reduce the number of life lines, life points, or chances for replenishing those resources. I think two players have pointed out that they could just metagame it and use lifelines/lives for every question and guarantee a win.

No. 13 had two solutions this week, because 5 is also a valid number to call for the effect of Linear Equation Cannon (5 x 4 + 5 and 4 x 5 + 5 equal the same value). Should have had the monster levels be 3, 5, and 6 to make it only have one solution.
Edit for clarity for the comments: I didn't say the question had two answers, I said it had two solutions. You know, the math term, solution. I'm just pointing out that for clarity's sake, he should probably avoid making there be multiple correct solutions for the mathematic portion, ensuring that only one correct solution (regardless of MC options) exists. It makes it less likely there will ever be confusion in the future.
The issue is with the phrasing of the question: "what number would you have to call to successfully resolve" implies a specific, singular number. In this case, either of two numbers work. All of the previous iterations of the question have had a singular solution, which means the question is perfectly phrased in those cases. In this, the question should instead be phrased as follows (or some variation) "which of the following numbers would, if called, successfully resolve". Otherwise, the question heavily implies that no other number would successfully resolve the effect, which in this case is not true.
5 isn't a number you can choose as an answer for the question, which kind of covers it.

I'm aware there's two solutions, but I don't see how having only one of them as an answer is confusing. It's still pretty easy to figure out at the end of the day.
I mean, if you are doing a multiple choice quiz and you know there is two or more possible answers, but only one of the answers is shown and the other isn't, then why worry about the other one not being there? I had questions like that when I took advancement exams in the Navy, there would be questions which a few pieces of equipment would be used to successfully complete a task, but they only ever had one of the answers as one of the choices.
The way the final question probably works is you can indefinitely protect the BA monster from being destroyed by banishing the top card of your deck, but then immediately after protection it will try to destroy itself again which you would need to banish again. Rinse and repeat until you either let it be destroyed by not activating the Toon Kingdom protection, or you mill your entire deck and have no more cards in your deck to mill to protect it so it is destroyed by its own effect. But if that happens your opponent just needs to pass to get the win.
Emphasis on probably, I have never experienced this matchup before to know for certain.

I'm not entirely certain but for the last question you probably deck yourself unless you choose to not protect it. In which case it just dies. It dies either cause you let it or because the condition for the protection is not met (no cards in deck to ban).

Logs of the Duel Logs duellogs from the Duel Logs franchise even said few times that he doesn't really need the donations people give him and had to think about how to put the money back into the channel for our entertainment. This was the end result. Would still love for it to be a bit harder in some way though

@@tehy123 as far as I understand it, a BA monster's destruction effect is continuous so it kinda just tries to destroy itself again while toon kingdom is still in the middle of resolving the first protection and before you have any chance to do so again(?)

I think that they shouldn't be able to redeem lifelines, but could redeem lives still at the 'checkpoints'. You can burn through three lives in a single question if you REALLY don't know, but the lifelines are WAY too strong to get potentially 8 of them.

EDIT: the 13th question is spell wrong. Also if it is a monster that cannot be normal summon or set would go into the graveyard and not add to your opponent hand.
The last question is based on when the effect of comic hand makes scarm/BA monster, a toon monster. And reading "comic hand" the card become a "toon" monster after the monster is steal that means scarm destroys itself before he has a chance to be a toon monster. After was steal on the text there is the dot, there arent any conjunction behind the steal effect, that means after the player steal and control that monster is considerate a "toon" monster.

The last question should actually be both A and B since the card does technically protect scarm permanently. Think of it just like the other normal toon monsters where they get protected permanently until you run out of cards in your deck. The same should apply here and while he technically will eventually get destroyed by his own effect hes also protected permanently until you run out of deck like the rest of the toon monsters.

I really like the last question. The reason the burning abyss monster EVENTUALLY gets destroyed I THINK is because it starts an infinite loop, in which case rulings state that the card causing the loop in which game state is not advanced it is destroyed, regardless of text. Very tricky
But then again, I can imagine a world where you have to banish cards from the top of your deck until you deck out
OR, since the cards aren't DRAWN but are banished, I can imagine the effects triggering endlessly until you're out of cards and can't protect burning abyss by banishing anymore, so it is destroyed. Actually, I'm convinced this is probably what happens. Damn, this question had layers
