Korean people cook this soup frequently. Especially, when you get hangover after you'r spending good time with your friends, Korean people used to cook this soybean sprout soup because the soybean sprout includes a lot of Arginine ingredient and it help you release hangover. It tastes good and is also folk remedies. :) !

    Soybean sprouts are the BEST.
In my culture - Nigerian-ish culture, we have all sorts of soups - more like stews, honestly. Lots of vegetables and meat. Seeds are ground up and used as a thickening agent in some.
Then you eat it with your hands with fufu, which is a thick dough made with yam or plantain flower - think super thick mashed potatoes that you can roll into a ball with your hands. You use that to eat the soup!
I’m glazing over it a touch (lots of differences in how soups are made from family to family), but that’s the basic gist of it!

I believe there is no daily soup here in Czechia but usually it's beef or chicken stock with frozen vegetables and some smaller pasta/noodle. Other common ones are potato soup with mushrooms (boleti/porcini), sauerkraut, tomato, goulash, garlic or even rye-based sourdough soup with potatoes, dried mushrooms and scrambled eggs.

This looks incredible! Thanks for showing us how you eat it...I'm learning that my Korean friends each have their own way of eating many foods. What they mix with rice in the spoon, what they mix into the bowls, it shows how individual it can be! Very different from Japanese and Chinese methods of eating meals (and I'm half Chinese and grew up in Japan...) I was at a wonderful Korean restaurant in LA and watching the table of 4 next to me eat....they all had a different approach to the food on the table, it was great.

idk if this counts as soup but I grew up with my mom and my grandmother making a big pot of lima beans seasoned with ham hocks all the time especially when it was cold. They'd serve it with southern styled corn bread and my grandmother would also serve her's with rice and sometimes with fried little corn bread cakes. When I was older I discovered I liked adding hot sauce to my lima beans. Lots of memories of enjoying a bowl of hot lima beans with my family and it make the house smell so good.

Without red pepper powder The clear bean sprout broth (with egg) is also good for relieving hangovers~!!

The soup we eat in the south of France is the soup with mixed vegetables: potatoes, carrots, celery and leeks. For those who eat meat, you can add smoked pork sausages or a pork knuckle! we only eat it in winter

I made your kimchi jigae for my kids yesterday. My oldest who is a very picky eater LOVED IT! She ate all the left overs! Kimchi was your recipe too! Thank you!
