BEAMNG NEWS episode 198
(There is no way the episode 200 could be finished on time at this point because I start the next year of university next week, so I'll write something different (I already have an idea) and from now on the news will be more frequent. It will depend on my university plan though, probably they won't be on every video like they used to.) The special will be on episode 250.
Hiring the legendary Nickel Might as a deputy made Sheriff Bat Dummieson's work a lot easier. The new cop has a car that is really fast, filled with all kinds of helpful gadgets, and it's also virtually indestructible! While it isn't enough to fight against the team of super-villains yet, because they have their own indestructible cars, it's more than enough to deal with regular criminals. Usually deputy McSpeed was the one to deal with them, as he has the fastest car (except for deputy Dorifto the rocket car, but the fuel for him costs a fortune) so he could get everywhere fast. Using the Intervalley Highway, he was able to drive from Firwood to Belasco City in 1 day! However, there was a big problem - he would crash all the time, and the insurance company never wanted to pay when he crashed because it was too frequent, so he was single-handedly emptying the whole police budget! Also, it goes without saying that when he crashed while chasing a criminal, he wasn't able to continue the pursuit. Statistically he was the least effective deputy, however if you count out all the times when he crashed, he was almost as succesful as Sheriff Bat Dummieson himself! He was too valuable for the police to fire him, but he was also always causing a lot of trouble - without him, the whole mess with Angry Dummy's toolbox wouldn't have happened!
The sudden appearence of Nickel Might in the police forces solved this problem. The new deputy was almost as fast as McSpeed, and a ton more effective! While he didn't crash any less, his car could survive any crash, so he could keep going and arrest the criminals he was chasing, and what's even better, his car didn't have to be repaired! Seeing the potential, Sheriff Bat Dummieson made the decision that the new deputy should replace McSpeed in his regular job. McSpeed himself was put on paperwork duty, and Wreckmeister got his car. It wasn't long until the cop not used to the ridiculously fast vehicle completely wrecked it. McSpeed didn't like it at all - he was mad at Wreckmeister and the Sheriff, and the most at Nickel Might, who took away his beloved position! Meanwhile, deputy Nickel did an excellent job at arresting lots of criminals over the past week, and things have calmed down like never before! The cops had little work to do, especially the Sheriff - who then decided it was a good time to start dealing with the Angry Dummy situation. He sent the new cop for an undercover mission of stealing the precious toolbox from Gengis Car! Nickel Might set off to the mission, not knowing that deputy McSpeed was following him in his private car - he wanted to do a little "revenge"... The cops arrived at Gengis's hideout. Surprisingly, the toolbox was in a visible place, and nobody was around - so deputy Nickel could just take it and put in his car! He was preparing to return quickly, but he saw something unexpected in his back mirror - Dr. Spiky and Stigsson were there too! Had they quit Bridgesgone's team to join Gengis? Deputy Might got out his car again to investigate. He looked inside the building and saw Stigsson's famous Oldsmobile - which had been wrecked for months, until now - and a weird car full of spikes, presumably Dr. Spiky's new car! It was clear that the villains joined Gengis, because he had the toolbox and they needed upgrades! The cop took a few photos for evidence and turned around to get back to his car. But he saw something terrifying - deputy McSpeed was driving away in his indestructible vehicle! This was the little revenge he wanted! Furious, deputy Nickel got into McSpeed's own car and started chasing him through the mountains near Lake Altitude. McSpeed thought that he can escape, so he accelerated as hard as he could. But he looked in the mirror and saw the other cop only getting closer! Then he looked back on the road - and to his horror, it was ending with a jump straight into the lake! Instead of using the brakes (which he never does anyway), he opened one of the doors and jumped off the car, which hit the ramp and got airborne! Deputy Nickel hit the brakes and managed to stop on time, but his indestructible car - with Angry Dummy's precious toolbox inside - fell right into the lake's maelstrom!
A few hours later, the place was filled with police cars, the FBI and scientists from the Wreckingham University. The situation was serious - according to the scientists, the wormhole in the maelstrom is a portal to an alternative reality, and once you enter it, you lose all contact with everyone in the "normal" reality! Nobody knows what's on the other side, many dummies and cars have entered the portal, but none have returned... All wireless cameras sent there would instantly lose connection, and there is no way to see what's inside. The objects that were lost there - Angry dummy's toolbox and Nickel Might's car - are extremely important for the national security, as the last time the toolbox was lost, the Italian army had to come and intervene! Somebody needs to get them back, which means that somebody has to go into the portal... There are very few dummies who are brave enough to do it, but Sheriff Bat Dummieson and his deputies definitely are... After all, they are technically the ones who caused this mess, so it's their job to solve it now...
This is probably one of my favorite stories I have written, now onto the MOD NEWS:
Mazda 787b - www.beamng.com/threads/mazda-787b.73761/#post-1227169 I'm not sure how good it is because I haven't tried, I've read that it doesn't have working lights and gauges, but I've also seen people say that it has amazing aerodynamics and a lot of cool skins. EDIT: I just tested it, drives really well and sounds amazing, crashes decently on frontal collisions but side collisions and rollovers can sometimes glitch it out. I think it's worth using.
Oldsfullsize mod is fixed! Finally! No new content yet, although some is planed for future updates - transparent (not tinted) glass, a lowrider, and a hearse. You can bring Stigsson back into the police chases! (Also you can put him on a motorcycle if you have it, just put him in the Oldsfullsize and remove the frame so it's just him, and move and rotate him precisely onto the motorcycle using the World Editor. Works with the dummy too!)
Ibishu Zephyr mod will be delayed for a few months due to the author feeling extremely tired with it and lots of bugs still remaining. Obviously his health is more important than the mod, we can wait.
You already used the Gavril Mione here, soon it's getting updated - the wheels will be fixed so they no longer occasionally explode, gear ratios will be tweaked to make it more drivable, and a drag version will be added.
There is a destructible tree mod - you could use it in the spike strip pileup crashes series!
Nothing really new apart from this, there are less mods since the holidays have ended.
Sheriff Dummieson had better not ask me (Petrolhead) to go in that vortex, or I'll never be seen again. Then again, if the Angry Dummy doesn't get his toolbox back, and Deputy Nickel Might doesn't get K.I.T.T. back, they'll probably both strangle Deputy McSpeed...
Sheriff will be going there himself with some deputies, and I want it to be a long multi-episode story starting from episode 200. If you don't want Petrolhead to be a part of it, I can make him stay at the precinct, but then he will be one of these who have to deal with the super-villains... I don't really know what is worse lol, the cops never get a break in my stories
@@agenty_gd Of course I want Petrolhead to be a part of it. It's just that he's probably getting sick and tired of destroying his plow truck over and over just to have Darkstig or the Angry Dummy get away somehow. If he does get left at the precinct... that probably won't end well for him anyway...

Saw the destructible tree, I hope somehow the developers will integrate it someday in their maps. Technically there is a way I believe but it would take quite a bit of processing power in areas where there are lots of trees! At least that’s my understanding.

There is a system for traffic vehicles that only activates self-collision when the car crashes. Perhaps a similar thing could be done for trees and other objects, they would have no physics until something crashes into them. The problem is that the game often has a hard time figuring out if the car just crashed or it just jumped or landed hard or something, or even drove over a speedbump, you can sometimes see it when the ESC detects impact out of nowhere. That's why they haven't implemented it yet I think.
