I said after Ronaldo left Madrid that there will be a time when people will focus on Benzema as being the best player of the club when all the time it was and will be Modric ,even when Ronaldo was there. People are blinded by the goals and dont see the truth . I am glad I was right. Without Modric they cant do anything. That said ,obviously Benzema is in a crazy good form and scores -well done.

It would be fair to say that Chelsea as a team and unit were better than Real Madrid but, Chelsea lack what Real Madrid had for years and is just now being higlighted. A striker like Benzema is so rare to find these days, he is like 2 players in one. The man can hold the ball and link up, spray passes, dribble, good with both feet, head, works hard and he is so clever with his positioning and movement. He was always in the shadow at Madrid, first Higuain than Ronaldo and even Bale. There is a reason he played under every Real Madeid manager in the last 13 years, the man is a gem. France were so fortunate to have him and Giroud as options, who too was very underrated imo. There are is no need to waste words n Modric, the man is the best midfielder of this generation, along with maybe Kante. That pass should count as both a goal and assist.
The reason why chelsea even scored 3 goals is cus of ancellotis stupid tactics to play atletico madrid. He did this in the first game against psg and in 2nd leg against chelsea. If real played attacking the whole game they wouldve destroyed both.

Henry brings Laudrup's name in discussion as if he was some normal player. Dude, Laudrup was one of the greatest ever player, not just midfielder. He's literally someone that players like Xavi and Iniesta looked upto. Ask Iniesta even today about the greatest player and he will tell most probably take Michael's name
