How to Buy Cotton Kimono for Summer (Yukata)

  • July and August are the months for firework displays around Japan, so I visit Miyoshiya to buy myself a yukata - a cotton kimono of the sort traditionally worn in the Summer evenings and for watching firework displays.
    Miyoshiya is a 'recycled clothing' store in the basement of Nakano Broadway and this video was made with the help of the brilliant staff there!

    When me and my sister went to japan.for the first time in 2023, we stumbled upon this store/stall but we're too scared to try things on.Next time we visit Japan we will but Haori jackets.Everything is priced by coloured hangers, so it is easy to know prices.Thank you for sharing this
