  • Problem solving is a highly important skillset to succeed in both personal & professional life. Most people aren't good at problem solving because if they were, there wouldn't be so many problems in the first place. There are plenty of problem solving frameworks that you can find such as six sigma, Lean and other conceptual frameworks and in this video I am not particularly talking about any of those.
Although for the sake of bringing to you the most useful information I have studied most of these frameworks of problem solving and in amalgamation with my personal thoughts on this matter I will describe it to you in a simple way as a seven step method to reach the best solution for your problem with day to day examples.
Seven step problem solving method explained in this video is:
01:32 Is it really a problem
    02:22 Define the problem
    03:36 Break the problem down
    04:50 Define all possible solutions
    06:07 Choose the best solution
06:53 Set a measure for your solution
    07:34 Own your problem
Do watch the video till the end and let me know in the comments section if you have any thoughts on this to share.

This is a fantastic video, but I have a problem, probably a personal problem. IMO The piano music is perfect for the video; however, it’s a bit too loud, so if the volume for that background music were to be lowered, I’d be able to watch this video again.

Sometimes there are problems too complex that it is not even possible to list all possible solutions... but I just assume that this doesn't really apply to science ;D

I agree, it's not an exhaustive list to solve all kinds of problem but an outline of the approach to be followed. Thanks for taking the time to watch and comment.🙂

Hi, i don't remember doing so, although there may be overlapping points as the general problem solving principles are quite consistent.

These were not the solutions, but rather the principles that shows the process of soliving any problem. That's how all of us solve any problem, aren't we? Ok, maybe we're all bad at step: 1 ideentifying the problem, but then all the followed process are same as in the case of any individual.
