After this performance, all I can say is, “Wow.” Trying to find the words to accurately describe the excellence of this performance would simply just be making an understatement with every word. There are no words to describe the beauty of this performance. Congratulations to Leah. What a star.

She started out as kinda of odd ball, and was a bit of a dark horse to start out. But she is shining now and making every song her own, delivering performances that just leave us star stuck. She has a big career ahead of her if she wants it. Top five for sure, maybe in the finals.

Leah I don’t know if you ever read these, but man I could barely breathe listening and watching this. It was absolutely flawless! Just magical! I had to pause it in the middle because I was so overwhelmed with emotion and started sobbing. The way you sang this so tenderly and with so much emotion really made think about all that I’m going through. You hit my core. I am so thankful that you took your time and meant every word! I think she is the best. A lot of layers to her voice. What a range. yes, angelic! So much variety. Huntergirl is good, but after a while, the songs all sound the same. Leah can be the darkhorse that catches up and win the whole thing! ...go Leah. If i were in the US I would vote for you!
My favorite LeahMarlene moment is still when she did her duet with Fritz. She put so much stank on it! I totally heard the majestic Miss Krauss in this cover but this girl can access so much more. It's when she articulates every syllable her dynamic superpowers arrive.
I agree about her vocal dynamics with respect to Krauss, Emmy Lou and Roseanne Cash. Love them all but this young lady has really great modulation and phrasing. I think she beats all the other singers in the competition in this regard, even the singers with big voices. She really uses her voice deliberately and thoughtfully, as an instrument.
Probably the best tonight. Wasn’t a great night for the contestants.

I’ve watched this performance by Leah many times now. Lionel is right … Leah has demonstrated with this performance that she is a pro. I’d buy this album today if it was for sale. She deserves to win American Idol!
