He is describing the hero's journey from joseph campbell's monomyth. Just google hero's journey and you'll get a template describing the steps.
Jordan Peterson delves a lot deeper into all of this.
@@emielpoot5872 Thank you that made it much clearer on revisiting this talk
Sorry to be offtopic but does anybody know of a method to get back into an instagram account?
I stupidly lost my account password. I would appreciate any help you can give me!
Succinct mashup of Buddha's Dependent Arising, Campbell's Hero's Journey and Bob Dylan's "Serve Somebody."
Powerful
Right on
"Put your hand up if you've wondered if you are weird. Oh good roughly half of you."
I didnt put my hand up because I know I'm weird...
Anyone got the app name? Can’t find it.
Brilliant talk otherwise.
E-Batt? Not available on Apple
Universe of Emotions is an iPhone app of his that I just found.
Please tell me he has a book on the subject matter!

Will there one day be a TEDx tak about how to ignore self-help talks and work out that finding how to deal with life on your own might bring its own reward?
There probably will be, but it will be best to ignore it
This fellow loves his psycho babble
A little bit madness win on a lot of wiseness ..... coffee with salt ....
Funny, my energy levels for this drivel completely tanked as soon as he started hawking a phone app a tool for the spiritual journey he claims is universal. How'd humanity get this far, all these aeons without a smart phone?
compared to the previous Ted Talks I felt this one was more about sales. It didn't have the same impact and energy of the previous ones. Shame
This is just Anthony de Mello but slicker, less spiritual, and more marketable!
(still a good video, but check him out if you haven't)
I think the different qualities you list make this presenter different essentially, no?:)
Having asked that, I will definitely check Anthony de Mello, never heard of him so far! Thank you for sharing
Self love........he seems to know a lot about the issue, i suppose someone that has helped "the powers that be" profit from human suffering would, this man does not care about people unless of course he has something to gain it seems.
Fishy when YT keeps pushing a channel in your stream 🐟. You bet, these are DACA immigrants, we're supposed to be like 'wow dude these dudes are clevers we should totally abolish borders' 🤣
You're insane.
