- JoyToy action figure fans! The long wait for the Blood Angels Terminators is finally over! We are going to be reviewing the Blood Angels Terminator Ancient with the 1st Company Banner first. As usual, we will be using our painter's eye to scrutinize the painting on this figure and then we will move on to articulation.

I have this one, and the other two hammer brother BA termies and my only complaint is the hands pop off very very easily. They don't snap into the ball joint well at all, even if using a dryer. It's appears the hole bore is too shallow. The Ultramarine termies hands are not as bad.
Good to hear that the UM Termies are better...sadly mine have been stuck in customs for the better half of a month lol. It seems like the QC issues again are quite variable across the board because my respective BA Termies don't have issues with the hands.
Perhaps you can use Pledge to thicken up the ball and socket joints. Apparently a lot of people use this technique to stop loose joints so this might work with the hands
@@SpruesNStuds About the same here. My 2 BA termies Taelon and Leonid were held by customs for 2 and a half weeks coming out of JFK but they came yesterday! Salamanders Intercessors Sergeant Tsek'gan still held for a week and a half so far. What's up with that? Never seen that happen before. Another channel uses Kiki K001 solution for loose ball joints. It applies like a liquid plastic coat and after several coats seem to help. I may try that.
There just something about the waist and the legs while standing straight that makes it look off, but while posing with legs opened looks way better.
Hmmm that's something I did not notice. I'll have to take a closer look

Oh don't worry. I bought all 6 of them! The rest of the thunder hammers should be up already and the lightning claw ones will be coming up in the next few weeks
All 6 of these chaps "should" be awaiting me on the porch when I get home from work tonight, so stoked. You showed it off briefly as you were demonstrating the articulation, but didn't call attention to the knee joints apart from how they bend, so I'll point out that those are examples of the new sort of knee joints that JoyToy has started using on recent figures - where there would previously be an ugly "gap" above/below that section made to look like the flexible ribbing, there's now an additional smooth curved section, only visible when the knee starts to bend, that covers/minimizes it.
Nice to hear that you are getting these figures. Thanks for pointing out the knee articulation. I was reading that they changed it and didn't put 2 and 2 together. So this is the 3.0 version that people were talking about then
If I ever see that one at a decent price, he is the one I will get from those terminators ! I am such a sucker for Standard Bearers, it can't be beaten as the ultimate accessory !
You won't go wrong with this figure. Also you are completely correct on the Standard Bearers because I too, do the same thing. Whenever I see a standard, I always get them. I don't even care too much about the Ultramarines but I had to get their honor guard standard bearer. It looked too awesome for me to pass
Thanks for the review brother cos of all the BA termies,this one was the one i poed,just for the sake of the banner,at least my BA army have one termie on display howeveer as for the Ultras termies,of course i already poed all six of them hahahah,that was my sacred holy duty for the glory of Macragge!
I 100% agree with your choice Brother Reagan. If there is one BA to get, this is the one for sure.
I also figured you'd get all 6 UM terminators. I think I'll pick up one of the sergeants, the cyclone, and assault cannon one.
@@SpruesNStuds the good thing for me is the Ultra termies become more cheaper than the BA counterparts cos the BA was released first...the price differences is like 10 US dolars here more or less,damn!
For Example if we converted it from Rupiah to US Dolars will become:
The BA is 39.55 USD
The Ultra is 29.91USD
Yeah I did notice that there was a significant drop in price of the UM terminators which is a good thing for all of us

Oh yes, this is for sure peak BA...but there is Mephiston coming! We may ascend to a new peak then. Yes, the terminators are first born marines
I'm glad I was wrong and what heard was wrong on the shading is gone the range of movement from my understanding there slow and strong which makes since if they was mining armor before the war
Yup! Shading is there but less pronounced. There is still a good range of motion but limited compared to SM in primaris armor. The worst range of motion is the Term Chaplain but that vid won’t come in for a little bit

Hopefully these bad boys won't sell out so that you can get one for yourself. As for the banners, the BA one is wider than the GK. However, the GK one is longer

@@SpruesNStuds i'd picked Santoro, Davinos & Leonid, i chose the ones with most details, indeed theyre not cheap, with on going PO list, i have to be selective

@@SpruesNStuds USA Gundam orders in bulk and gets their stuff delivered to them - to then ship out to you, the customer - quite, quite a bit later, than the shops based overseas can get them to you; for an example of that delay, the last of the Sword Brethren I was missing (fellow with the chainsword and bolt pistol) only *just* arrived this afternoon.

@@SpruesNStuds Not anymore, no: with 10th Edition and the updated miniatures - that are intended to represent the same pattern of terminator armor that's been around since the Heresy, not new "primaris-ified" stuff Cawl whipped up - GW just finally stopped pretending that primaris miniatures are bigger because primaris marines are taller, they made scaled up versions of the miniatures because the originals were - as everyone already knew - "just too short".
Anyone can now wear terminator armor (primaris marines don't have to use gravis as an alternative because they "wouldn't fit"), but these particular figures are of course based on older minis (upscaled to "correct" proportions).
I really have not been paying any attention to 10th TBH so this is very interesting news to see/ hear
Very interesting news indeed. I had figured that GW was going to phase out the old firstborn marines at some point in time so it looks like that time is now.
I think that this is a long time coming because I HATED the SM codex. Too much unit bloat. They seriously need to pull off the band-aid and get rid of the firstborn models (then you get the old timers that bitch/ whine/ and moan). Change is the only constant in life
