The reason he rejected other clubs to coach is cause he knows he’s next for Madrid
That's probably not the reason. He could have gone to Liverpool and münchen first before going to Madrid, but Xabi is a smart man. He still lacks experience. He isn't getting ahead of himself. He plans to get more experience with this Leverkusen team, the one he built. How many young managers have you seen crumble due to the lack of experience? The leap was too great.

Because if he goes to liv or Bayern he will have to rebuild and the results can vary affecting his move to real. It's obvious that he will move to Madrid with a good succesful launchpad
