You arent supposed to mix The Ordinary serums with moisturizers. You should apply the serums first so they can sink into the pores before u apply the moisturizer. Serums have smaller molecules and moisturizers have bigger ones. So u need to allow the serum to go beyond the epidermal layer of the skin THEN apply moisturizer to lock it in.
I have been doing your skin routine since July. My skin has cleared up so much. I use to suffer with hormonal acne. I started applying your skin routine to my skin care regime and my skin has gotten so much better. I still have a few dark spots. But majority of them are fading. I also take pantothenic acid. I found those pills to be helpful as well. Thanks, girl! Lol
This elta MD sunscreen is incredible because it has 5% niacinamide. It is also big physical and chemical! So I am Sticking with it for the long haul . I apply it to my eyelids as well to prevent darkening
Don't mix the sunscreen with other products, you have to apply it on it's own in an even layer or you won't get even protection. And also, you don't need moisturizer with SPF at night :) ❤️

I used to use Neutrogena when I was a teen. It was very strong on my sensitive skin. My face was tight and shiny. My skin looked nice but was it irritated and sensitive. I will definitely try the other products though. Thanks for the lovely video.

love everything about this video but i have to mention that i also use serums on my face, like the ordinary, but since serums are more light weight than moisturizers. that means the molecules are smaller, which makes it easier for your skin to absorb them. that being said, the molecules are larger in moisturizers, which don’t penetrate below the dermis, meaning it will lock your pores from absorbing anything else because it acts as a protectant. that being said, you should apply your serum first so it can actually absorb into your skin THEN apply your moisturizer so it’s not counterproductive:))
Everything you’re doing is great, just try not to drag your skin downward when you put skin care. It can accelerate skin aging. Drag upwards always to massage your face muscles and to prevent premature skin sagging.
Me 2😢.. Not to mention melasma over my upper lip that looks like a moustache... I do use aloe vera since its the only thing I can use.. It works but verrry slow.
They also have a cetaphil moisturizer that already contains sunscreen as well, I bought mine from Wal-Mart. It's nice to see someone else getting results from some things I use. Let's me know it's truly working. Thanks for the video.
I love this!! I suffered from hormonal acne as well, last year was the worst I’ve ever seen my face broke out, and now I’m finally clearing it up, I’ve been using a lot of homemade masks, and I also use paper towel as well to dry my face off, Cetaphil is amazing!!
You have a really good skin care routine! 👍 I recommend you try using micellar water to remove your makeup instead of makeup wipes (which can tug on the skin)

The ordinary products are the truth....I use the hyaluronic acid, hair density serum and their aha/bha peeling solution is one of my holy grail products. Your skin looks awesome....pour a thin layer of the aloe vera gel in a silicone ice cube tray, let it freeze and apply on your face!! Heaven it’s amazing. I’m doing a chemical peel just before Thanksgiving I have a couple of stubborn scars that refuse to go away. Keep up the great work with your skin.
I don’t think I’ve seen much results...but to be fair I have a scalp issue, lichen planaris, so I don’t think it’s the serum not working. My dermatologist gave me a spray to calm my scalp, so I just started using it along with the serum and a dermaroller n collagen peptides. Hopefully I’ll see some results soon. I have 4a/b in the back and 4C in the middle and the middle front is 4 hell naw, that’s where must of my scalp issues are n there’s no curl pattern whatsoever. The good thing is all of my hair is low porosity so I ignore curl pattern/type and use a regimen that focuses on porosity.

Do not use makeup wipes. That actually causes aging because you're rubbing your skin. Always double cleanse. Get yourself Deep Cleansing Oil, then use your facial cleanser, then use a toner, GENTLY, to check if you have leftover makeup. If you do, go back and cleanse with your facial cleanser. I also want to mention, yes rubbing does cause aging as you said in the video lol, but massaging does not. There's actual evidence that at-home facial massages are great for the skin and help with aging. When applying oils and serums, always apply in an upward motion to help the products absorb much better.
@@toniaisthatcool you can put your makeup on after your sunscreen. so it would be moisturizer => sunscreen => makeup. if you let your sunscreen set for a little while it won't interfere at all

Don’t use salicylic acid if you have sensitive skin!!! That stuff made me feel like I had a chemical burn. I didn’t break out but it made my face dry and red.
I have sensitive skin, and I personally LOVE salicylic acid. Remember it's an exfoliant so don't overuse it or it will cause skin irritation. Moisturize after! :)

If ur like me and don't want 150 products on ur sink. just Googled moisturizing products with sun protection... Like an all in one. you can also get vitamin E and C off Amazon and just mix it into a moisturizer or foundation you already have so you don't spend $25 on a little ass container. Cetaphil is a game changer.... that and African black soap cleared up my face. I also do the Aloe thing but with the leaf bec I got some growing outside 😂😂
I used to have chronic cystic acne and using coconut oil for anything only made it worse. People with chronic acne should not ever use coconut oil. It takes makeup off because it is an oil. Jojoba oil is much more safe. It’s noncomedogenic

It could be your liver or kidney need to detox. Majority have this issues because of the toxicity in their cells. Try detoxing your liver and kidney.

I found a clear sunscreen that contain zinc & titanium oxide. Walgreens Clear zinc 50 spf
Start using CLINIQUE "Take The Day Off" cleansing balm..... highly recommended by any cosmologist as well. 😘 Good luck

You have a really good skin care routine! 👍 I recommend you try using micellar water to remove your makeup instead of makeup wipes (which can tug on the skin)

The ordinary products are the truth....I use the hyaluronic acid, hair density serum and their aha/bha peeling solution is one of my holy grail products. Your skin looks awesome....pour a thin layer of the aloe vera gel in a silicone ice cube tray, let it freeze and apply on your face!! Heaven it’s amazing. I’m doing a chemical peel just before Thanksgiving I have a couple of stubborn scars that refuse to go away. Keep up the great work with your skin.

I don’t think I’ve seen much results...but to be fair I have a scalp issue, lichen planaris, so I don’t think it’s the serum not working. My dermatologist gave me a spray to calm my scalp, so I just started using it along with the serum and a dermaroller n collagen peptides. Hopefully I’ll see some results soon. I have 4a/b in the back and 4C in the middle and the middle front is 4 hell naw, that’s where must of my scalp issues are n there’s no curl pattern whatsoever. The good thing is all of my hair is low porosity so I ignore curl pattern/type and use a regimen that focuses on porosity.

Do not use makeup wipes. That actually causes aging because you're rubbing your skin. Always double cleanse. Get yourself Deep Cleansing Oil, then use your facial cleanser, then use a toner, GENTLY, to check if you have leftover makeup. If you do, go back and cleanse with your facial cleanser.
I also want to mention, yes rubbing does cause aging as you said in the video lol, but massaging does not. There's actual evidence that at-home facial massages are great for the skin and help with aging. When applying oils and serums, always apply in an upward motion to help the products absorb much better.

Don't mix sunscreen please. Sunscreen needs to be applied in one uniform layer and when you mix it with other products the coverage gets patchy

I see so many people use Neutrogena. I remember years ago my mother and I used a Neutrogena cleanser for the first time and our skin reacted so bad to it! The bottom half of my face burned. It was dry, peeling, and sensitive . I never used Neutrogena since... I get tempted to try again but 🤷🏾♀️ idk

Don’t use salicylic acid if you have sensitive skin!!! That stuff made me feel like I had a chemical burn. I didn’t break out but it made my face dry and red.
It's an active so moisturize afterward.
I have sensitive skin, and I personally LOVE salicylic acid. Remember it's an exfoliant so don't overuse it or it will cause skin irritation. Moisturize after! :)

Like an all in one. you can also get vitamin E and C off Amazon and just mix it into a moisturizer or foundation you already have so you don't spend $25 on a little ass container. Cetaphil is a game changer.... that and African black soap cleared up my face. I also do the Aloe thing but with the leaf bec I got some growing outside 😂😂

Try Coconut oil to remove your makeup and wipe your face with paper towels then go back with your makeup wipes soo much better

I used to have chronic cystic acne and using coconut oil for anything only made it worse. People with chronic acne should not ever use coconut oil. It takes makeup off because it is an oil. Jojoba oil is much more safe. It’s noncomedogenic
